I was having some problems with pests in my tent. Gnat infest and a couple thrips. Sprayed neem oil and sprinkled diatomaceous earth around the top. Some are struggling more than others. The pests are thinning for sure. Hopefully they didn’t hurt the ladies too bad. These are also my first auto’s!
Just when you think you have it under control you go out of town for a few days and come back to thriving thrip infest! I have been able to keep the gnats and thrips under control for the most part but this week they did some damage. LESSON LEARNED: DO NOT BE CHEAP ON YOUR SOIL!!! As you can see I have sticky pads on both sides of my tent and I sprayed neem oil last night. I also put down some food grade diatomaceous earth. Hopefully I can get rid of these pests before they start flowering! If not I will have to get some lady bugs and amblyseius cucumeris to finish the job. Anybody have any experience with amblyseius cucumeris before?
Was hoping and expecting more from one of my favorite strains. Might have to retry this one in the future! Going to finish flushing and chop down Monday with the others.
I think having issues early on set this one up for way less potential. Not a lot of weight but the buds are dense are very tasty! Fairly potent as well!!
@put_around, is just the waiting game now mate and be cautious while watering ect 😀 your girls are far busher than my ones for sure 😉I was going to train but I don't want risk break stems incase weak , hoping within week to get some good growth and hopefully get them onto flower stage 😁
@Cannabisqueen, THANKS!! :) it has been a little struggle. I used some cheaper soil this go round and have been battling gnats and thrips. Some strains have been resilient while others have struggled, but it's a good learning experience!
She just ticking along nicely bro😀 hows the temps your way , has been like a drastic drop in Spain in last few weeks fucking snow and everything 😂😂😂 just slow everything right down
@put_around,I did have in my back room but too many probs temps so when missus went home Xmas I swapped room around 😂😂was super pissed to begin with but nothing could be done I filled my tent before came back just make sure 😂😂😂
@put_around, awesome man needs must at times 😀 always having to adjust my fans at moment as temps and humidity are just all over place lol dam tropical storms before season 😀 my hps keep the tent nice warm just need turn fans and blowers on and off 😀 love it though mate cannot wait try this strain so much hype and to be try the first time ever after growing just makes all more satisfying 😀
@Fergie, I keep a little space heater in the room to keep temps above 72. That back room gets so cold if I didn’t have it it would be 65 while the rest of the house is 70 😂
What lights are you using I'm at the same stage with my pineapple express but much shorter even with the light moved to top of tent in the hope she would stretch alittle more
@PharmaZ, Its a 16 bulb 2’ T5. I use 24 w HO 3000k bulbs. I have it on a light mover, 6-12” above(depends on height of plant, try to keep 6” to the tallest) in a 4x8 tent. It does okay, not super impressed.
Looking like you are off to a mighty fine grow. Sorry to hear about the gnats. I too am growing some Pineapple Express from FastBuds, along with several other strains. Best wishes on the rest of the grow. - Zannabis7
