Sooo this diary will be very short because I didn't think my experiment would get this far honestly. Wanted to tinker with the colloidal silver method of turning female genetics into a male phenotype. So, I took a clone from my last grow and thought, what the heck. So here we are a few weeks later and sure enough, stamens. Some pistils too, but it was quite successful. Used 40ppm strength colloidal silver as a foliar spray 3-4 times a day for a couple of weeks as I was flipping to flower, and honestly have neglected this one pretty badly. Might see if I can catch some of the pollen for future experiments, but haven't decided fully. The pollen should produce feminized seeds though!

Uhhhh so I still don't know what I'm really looking for here. Lots of pistils developed this week and the stamens have started opening up. Haven't seen much pollen, and no part of this plant will be safe to smoke because of the silver residue. So I might just let it go and see what happens--if I get some seeds out of it, great--if not, meh. Cool to see either way!

Sooo, it seems to be chugging along. Lots of pistils developed among the stamens, and I think it pollenated itself for the most part. I decided not to try and collect pollen, it's fun just seeing what it does. I think if I were more diligent with the timing and frequency with the colloidal silver, it probably would have produced exclusively stamens. Still scrawny, and I'll admit I mostly just leave it alone to do its thing.

Another slow couple of weeks. Stuff is still happening though! Sort of hoping to see some seeds at the end of this but if not, it was still an interesting project.

Letting it go as far as it wants to at this point. Definitely some seeds in there 😊 As an aside... The harvest from its mother cured beautifully and is my favorite to date. Hoping for similar qualities in the future 😋

**Since this is a bit different from your typical diary I'm finishing this up without the harvest report. None of it will be smoked or consumed and I didn't care to get bud weights, etc.** Chopped it a couple weeks ago and hung it up to dry. Crumbled up the flowers and shook some seeds loose. Since these are self-polinated I doubt they'll be as robust as their mother, but I am looking forward to finding out for sure. For a half-baked and very neglected attempt at seeing if the colloidal silver would work, I'd say it was successful. And the leftovers should make some good topicals.
