Auto Blue Diesel - i49 seeds
First time growing an auto plant. These were a few bonus seeds from i49.
I'm going to be growing in a 2x4 tent with a cheap LED light. This plant will eventually be moved into a 5 gallon bucket DWC.
I started off by leaving the seed in water for about 24 hours, then putting into a bag with wet paper towel in a dark warm area till I saw the tap root. I then soaked the rockwool cube in PH'd nutrient solution (using up old nutes) for a couple hours. I then planted the seed into the cube and put into a humidity dome.
Strain info off of website:
Enjoy 8-10 weeks from seed flowering times from this potent and resinous autoflower strain.
This hybrid seed comes from a sativa NY Diesel and an indica Blueberry
I was thinking of abandoning this guy and diary since growth is so poor. Plus its a bit of a freak.
But you shouldn't judge someone over there freakish looks! So im going to continue this grow and see what happens.
Slow growth, but it seems like it's coming back! Looks like it topped itself and is growing 2 main shoots.
I was gonna put it in its dwc bucket, but the hydro store was out of the top hat style lids. So I might be ordering them online. in the mean time, its gonna just grow in the cube.
The freak has made a come back and is doing surprisingly well. Catching up on growth. Added a bit of cal mag and enzyme to the nutes.
Still no top hats for the bucket system unfortunately. Ordering online would take a long time since this covid thing.
I was able to make up a basket net out of an old pot lol. I think its gonna work out well. Plant is liking it from the looks of it. This is my first auto, and i believe it is starting to trigger now. Gonna be a small plant, but thats okay!
I'm seeing some pistols starting to develop, so she is starting to switch over. Doing a bit of low stress training while the plant is stretching. Not the biggest root ball due to being transferred in the bucket so late, but the roots look very happy and healthy.
Did a bit of defoliating as well.
Plant has doubled in size and I have been doing a bit of low stress training/defoliation. Plant seems very healthy, but the roots look a little brown. But that might just be the nutrients.
Plant is putting on weight now. Pretty healthy, still on a 1/4 of the recommended dose that advanced nutes recommends. Defoliated most of the fan leafs in some of the pictures. Roots looking a bit brown, maybe root rot? I'm not exactly sure why, temps are not high enough and using beneficial bacteria/hygro.
