Chowswooster Coming up a little twisty from the hot soil. Pretty typical for most of my grows so far, (which is only a few.) They tend to grow out of it by week 3.

Chowswooster I seem to have the most trouble with seedlings and harvesting. I get these twisty leaves and rust spots early. They always look great by week 4.

Chowswooster Some nitrogen sensitivity showing on a couple plants. I'm still feeding just 6.5 water. It'll pass. I think they are right on schedule.

Chowswooster All four are showing sex. Really filling out in week 4. I'm happy the canopy is looking level.

Chowswooster I started 4 hours of dark a day this week, because one of the Orange Buds was getting really droopy. Temps were good and it was chugging water so I thought maybe some dark would help. It really did. Defoliated all around the bottom and removed LST restraints. Plants didn't really stretch much this week. Maybe next week. I'm good as long as the canopy stays nice and level.

Chowswooster Canopy filled out this week. Things seem pretty normal.
Orange bud 2 is still really animated. Droops every night in anticipation of the dark, and doesn't perk up until 4 hours after the light comes on the next day. I've read some plants just do that. Mine USUALLY stay perky by week six. The write up on these orange bud seeds says they are sensitive to nutrients. I have been feeding plain 6.5 every other day. Microbe Brew at the start of this week.

Chowswooster Orange Bud 2 continues to be a dick. Orange Bud 1 looks pretty awesome. Glueberry 1 is showing calmag deficiencies and didn't stretch. Glueberry 2 slight calmag spotting but buds are fattening really, really nicely. I think maybe I didn't water enough through weeks 5 and 6 and that's why they never really stretched. These are Sativa heavy phenos, but all 4 are pretty stocky and super leafy. I hate defoliating my plants, I've always had better results just cleaning up the bottom leaves in week 5 and just letting them go. I would have to say Auto Orange Bud is the most challenging strain I have ever grown.

Chowswooster Turns out my lights were too close, which I think explains the leafyness/droopyness. Backed them off and everything perked up. I did however run out of micro and bloom. Due to quarantine I am low on funds for nutes. I decided to up the calmag extra dosage, (it has kelp and micro nutrients too.) and could only replace the bloom with ghe bloom. So I guess I'll cross my fingers that's enough. Just 2 weeks from a real flush anyway.
Definitely some early fading already and possibly light damage? Overall color and vigor are good. Buds are fattening under all those leaves I promise. Stay tuned to find out what nutrients I run out of next week.

Chowswooster Pistils are changing, buds are hardening, leaves are fading. It must be week 9! Ran out of cal mag extra, had some calimagic on standby. Broke down and bought base nutes. I have been meaning to try The connoisseur bloom anyway since I almost never use the grow nutes.
Most dirt has more than enough fertilizer in it for the first month, and that's the only weeks that autos tend to veg. Really really good smells in the tent. Orange buds both smell so orangey I'M PUMPED! Glueberry's both smell dank as hell with a touch of sweetness. It's a neat smell. I'm not expecting more than 2-3 oz a piece from any of the plants in that 3x3. A little disappointing. I think that tent needs another hlg 135r spec. I will plan on getting one this summer. Next season will be glorious! Check out my 2x4 tent pic to see the third Orange Bud auto from that seed pack. It's huge. Glueberry 3 didn't make it so I sprouted a Chocolate skunk auto that I had leftover from 00 seeds. Probably the easiest plants I've ever grown. Last week of nutrients starts today. I'm going full bore.

Chowswooster Started to flush a few days early. They aren't drinking so much now. Looking and smelling fantastic to me. Watering about half a gallon every two days. I really dig OB 1. It has some great color now. Can't wait to chop these down, but I won't rush. At least two weeks of flush. I've smoked too much harsh weed, due to my own impatience. I might even flush Ob2 for three weeks. It just started to fade. Thanks for checking out my grow!

Chowswooster Sorry no pics. They look the same, but over done. I should have flushed at my first instinct. Gonna harvest Sat. After 11 days of flush. Bought some water filters for my flush water.I hope that has an effect on taste. I checked my city water ppms for the first time ever and it's between 550 and 700... plus humidifier dust and I think that is my taste problem.
Been plenty humid for a lot of this grow, so I haven't run them as much. Hoping for my first tasty harvest. I have been historically terrible at the harvesting process. Will definitely post harvest pics Sat. Then a couple weeks later to talk smoke and weight.

Chowswooster Hung them up this morning.
Gave them a couple days of dark. It's getting hot and humid in Michigan. I hope it doesn't effect my drying cycle too bad. Gonna run the a/c for the hottest part of the days until they are dry. See you in a couple weeks with the good part.
Chowswooster So Orange bud smells and tastes like Oranges.
Go figure. Still not sure what I'm doing wrong, but it's kinda harsh. Could be my shitty tap water or humidifier dust (from my shitty tap water) OR I don't flush enough water through. Please let me know what you think. Are autos just not as tasty? I think I might switch to organic supplements and photo period plants next season. Overall I'm happy to have a bunch of these buds.
Chowswooster Smells and tastes very much like a combination of Blueberries and Gorilla Glue. Both plants were very dense and frosty. Both are harsh tasting though due to my own undiscovered human error. (See orange bud post) I won't give up and I will smoke the shit out of these nice flavorful buds.
WOW! What an amazing job you did! I have some GB also in the fridge, this diary makes me doubt what to do next round. Auto Mazar or Auto GB, seems that the GB is very good to train... Well done!
@burittomizzle, I'm not great at the curing process. The Orange Bud always just smelled like oranges. Never smelled any weed like it.
Glueberry never changed much either. Gg4 and blueberries. I would love to see what those strains are like grown by a master.
Your grow looks great bud⭐️⭐️,but honestly with autos,I’ve learned that it’s a luck of the draw, basically gambling. Pop a 7 or 10 pack of 1 strain and then make a decision on there, whether autos are or aren’t for u,I promise u,if u lucky it’ll really make u think twice. Good job 👏 👏
@CannaCrew420, yeah I've done autos for two seasons now. I have seen some beauties before. I honestly just want to go the other way to see the difference first hand. And I am stocking up on water filters and distilled water. My city water is between 550-700 ppm and I never really filtered it before. So I could most definitely be experiencing nute lock and just thinking it's fall colors.

@DutchAutoFlowers, Glueberry smells amazing. They had way more bud on them then I realized. Looking pretty chunky under all those leaves. Thanks for checking out my grow!
