24/1 - Week 8 now, about day 51. Everything chugging along well. Given them all PK teas with bio PK added in. Figured the earlier I could get in the good bacteria's the better for bud and terpene development! Going to dose the Six Shooter with one more and then that's her done, and going to leave the younger 2 girls for a week or so before giving them their next one. Their leaves tell me I went a tad overboard.
The MBAP has a ridiculous smell to her, and she's swelling up nicely . I would describe it as a sweet haziness early on but as it develops it gains a funky edge - going to do more detail on the smell a bit later on during the week. You can see which buds, even if it's a case of inches, are more developed than others on the MBAP - some .are a bit more hairy than others. I'm going to give her another defoliation tomorrow. She's frostier than the Six Shooter and 2 weeks behind.
The Sour Melon has astounded me with how well she's come on - proving me wrong with my earlier predictions - the topping I feel has really been beneficial, as well as the defoliation - her bud sites are swelling and it looks as though I'll have some nice, long, dense colas. Touch wood. Not so much aroma yet, and only a touch of frost developing. She's gorgeous, though. And a real trooper.
The Six Shooter has been defoliated and I'm considering one more but I feel it's too late. Perhaps just 5-6 of the worst culprits and do a hell of a lot of leaf tucking and gentle LST to open her up slightly to allow more airflow. Some nice aromas coming from her when rubbed, a strong, sweet, fresh, 'dank' pine-like incense aroma. Very nice. Will do more on that later. Buds aren't huge, nor chunky, but look rather dense and frosty. I feel I did too much LST, especially on the secondary branches. I should have just aimed for 8-12 heads and let her grow up. Experiences for next time!
The random small ladies are some seeds I popped in there. Just seeing how long I can keep them alive for using plain water and an occasional top-dressing watering-in of Ecothrive Charge & some Biotabs bits!
