ZAuto Coming along alright so far. I topped the plant at the start of the week. Also started LST towards the end of this week. It also started to get a bit warm some days - so I turned on my big extractor fan at intervals

ZAuto The temp went too far this week - so I turned on my big extractor fan on fulltime. I should have done it sooner. There doesn't seem to be any obvious damage, but I'm sure some stress must've occurred

ZAuto The extractor fan is helping - but it's still South Africa in February outside. I considered some more expensive cooling techniques - but most of the year, it will be just fine. I was quite enjoying the LST as well - though I'm sure I will do a better job next time.

ZAuto The temperature was pretty stable at this point. And towards the end of the week, it started to show signs of flowering - which was quite exciting.

ZAuto So I said it was going to be the last of the LST on a previous update, but I was wrong... I needed to defoliate. It was then clear that some lower branches would really benefit from some LST.

ZAuto A pretty normal week. I did start another grow in the meantime - which I'll start uploading in a week or two as I make some changes to my tent.

ZAuto While changing the water this week, I decided to grab a photo of the roots - so you can see that in the photos for this week! The plants are also starting to look really frosty!
ZAuto This week I'm just posting the photos from the first day a bit early, I'll update more in the next 6 days :) But so far everything is looking good. Have a look at the difference between the end of week 9 and the start of this week... That's 2 days! It looks like it needs another defoliation though. I'm going to experiment with a leaf or two a day.
Thursday update: I changed out the tub that the plant was in for a 20l bucket. This has given my grow tent more space. My plan is to try to have 3 plants at a time, planted a month apart. Obviously this would only work with autoflowers - but if I do have a couple of photoperiod seeds lying around in case I change my mind
ZAuto Starting look better and better. South Africa went into lockdown recently due to COVID-19, so it's going to be quite tempting to give it the chop early - but will make sure that I flush her first. I am starting to think that in the next few months I should probably just spend the money on a better light. And then will definitely try this strain again and give it a proper chance to do it's best. So far it's been a champ.
So given I brought her down early - she did pretty damn well! Will definitely try this strain again! Was really easy and just dominated from start to finish. After I chopped her down, I lazily moved the bucket outside... And then it started to rain - I noticed the next day what seemed to be some new grow... So I put her back in some half nutrients, and am tempted to see what happens just for fun. But I don't expect anything to come of it.
Update: So that new growth experiment failed :D But I have started the next grow in that bucket. I didn't really upload any picture of the harvest because of it wasn't quite ready and was a desperate move to get a sleeping aid during lockdown. Please don't judge the strain for my impatience, it really is a great one... And I got 45g when I harvested early and was only using no-name-brand blurple lights... Next stop though... Mars Hydro TS-1000!
