The seeds took only 24hrs to split and were planted straight in the soil. 3 days later they started sprouting. Day 6 it was a happy seeding. Images above were taken on day 7 just after a light spray.
I wanted to keep the plants reasonably humid as i have over watered in the past and was keen to avoid it this tme round. The next day after this photo the leaves started drooping already after a very light spray so I quickly replanted it in a bigger pot, after doing this it cheered up and grew very well the following week.
Growing very well, some weakness in the stem so leaves where supported by the bottle head. You will also notice a sponge in the background, this is to assist in increasing the humidity of the grow tent. Every 2/3 days I flush out the old air for a few hours to help oxygenate the soil. As they move out the veggie stage I may invest in a monkey fan.
Considering last week they were having a little bit of difficulty standing up by themselves they are just fine now with some light LST. I'm not going to bend these as much as I have others in the past as they are an experimental autoflower strain and I dont want to stress them too much or I will lose precious growth time whilst they recover from the stress, they are on a count down already. Reassuringly though the LST was only two days ago I can already see new growth!
I'm not going to screen train these as I dont expect them to grow too big being an autoflower. They may start flowering late next week!
After carrying out the LST I did notice some slow growth due to the stress but I am also starting to notice a bit more bushing on the main stem. I have also lightly pinched between my finger and thumb some of the upper stem and branches.
The plant is growing fine if not a bit slower than I would have wanted. I am also noticing a mild "skunky" smell when adjusting the branches. I am expecting to see some early flowering stages by the end of the week.
I have a carbon filter and I think I am going to need it, this one might be a real stinker!
Started bushing up quite well now. Has a faint spicy fruity smell. I was really hoping to start seeing this flowering now.
It seems pretty happy for now, I usually dont have much luck with Autoflowers.
Well i am happy to see these experimental strains are beginning to flower and bud nicely. I have only recently noticed I may have a hermie on my hands as it appears to have grown a set of balls! (Or the closet thing in plant terms).
I will keep an eye on it over the coming days but he/she may need to be topped or live outside or it will completely balls up (no pun intended) the rest of my crop in the tent.
The smell from these plants are faint but really nice, a mix between fruity skittles, spicey and skunky!
So the remaining plant is doing just fine, after a brief pause in budding after I gave it a much needed trim it is now happily continuing to grow well. Its twin plant became a hermie and had to go live outside, I was considering destroying it but it can't help what it is and I have no prejudice with a plant with confused gender identity issues, I think it is already growing its own seeds, it might be interesting to use any seeds collected as a gorrilla grow some where.
Entering its third flowering week I expect it to start budding up over the next two weeks.
All good this week, the plant is not growing as much in terms of length but it is still leafing and I am not expecting too tall with an autoflower. It is nicely budding and the leaves have a nice colour to them.
I am expecting some frosting next week.
This plant has stalled a bit, I gave it a pretty big trim 4 days ago and it wasn't happy with it, last time I did a trim like this it stopped growing for a week but then had a sudden growth spurt. I am hoping it recovers but it has been a pretty sluggish grow from the start, I'm not touching this any further I'll just leave it to grow.
On the pro side the buds have taken a pleasing golden colour and some pistils are taking an amber tone, I'm a bit concerned with the leaves, I know I am guilty of recent over watering.
Its other twin I grew this alongside is really flourishing outside, it has mutated from a hermie to a full male, thats a first for me.
Really this is an outside plant, growing in a tent as I have done really is a waste.
:(
Sad day for me, unfortunately it didn't make it. I should have left more time for this one to recover before cropping it just never recovered.
This really has not been a great week for me, I lost two maturing plants, a cat dug up and stole two of my garden sproutlings and FIVE of my new seedlings have hermied!
I managed to take a few buds for sample but the potency was pretty crap, very weak but energetic head high with slightly calming effect but not much else, even if it did grow to maturity its just not a good mix at all from this experimental strain. I am going to use the bud I did save along with some trim for hash, not even worth smoking.
Still this was an experimental strain, unfortunately it just wasn't a good mix.
Last few pics of the male twin before I ground it up for hash.
Was covered in bugs and other various mites but was never really to fussed about this one, just wanted it for the hash.
On the pro side the buds I did manage to save from the other plant were actually of a high quality when they dried for a week, great head high and made me very creative. I will try this strain again at some point, hopefully this time it doesnt hermie.
So I did manage to sample this as both a female bud and male plant, the female obviously had more of a kick to it where as the male was a lot weaker so I had to smoke a lot of it to get any effect.
The smoke itself was quite weak but it did give a pretty clear head high and helped a lot with my creativity on the come down.
Overall pleasing but not really one I would try again in future. A bit meh.
@RussianGrower, that sounds like a great combination, should get some big buds, be sure to massage the branches so they strengthen up. I know I grew this in a tent but Siberian Haze is really meant to be grown outside, its very hardy and can take lower temperatures pretty well.
@ChronicFinest, Its not a branded model as I got it from China but you could find a very similar model on Ali Express, most brands just take the same model and respray it or etch in their logo. Look for a PRO 600w Duel Lumen Led Grow Light 2 fans Full Spectrum.
Just had a sample of one of the herbie buds I took off 2 weeks ago, and damn even though it was very premature and not even a female bud it certainly hit the spot!
When this is fully mature its really going to be a head spinner!
