Please help. From start of grow i noticed black flies in tent. I think after research they are fungal flies. I have sprayed plants/soil with diluted neem oil and did a neem oil flush but still the odd one appears. Any ideas what else I can do? Thanks

Hi @Fergie1984 the best way to deal with them is with yellow fly traps. you can also apply some product to protect your plant like the bio bizz leaf coat. neem oil is also a good option but I think it delays the development of small plants. these mosquitoes love the moist substrate, you can also put a 1 cm layer of vermiculite on top of the substrate. vermiculite dries faster and does not attract them. good luck πŸ’ͺπŸ™πŸ‘

I have sprayed plants with neem oil, done a neem oil soil flush and also put sticky yellow fly traps in tent. Still catching lots of fungus gnats. Cannot seem to get rid of them. Anything else to try or will they eventually catch them all? Any help would be greatly appreciated

Place traps next to the soil, let it dry, really dry. You may water your plants from below while that, but if you can, let your plants ask for water, they will leave from the soil and be trapped on the yellow stick. After that, high concentration neem oil on the soil, not the let it moist again. For a few days eggs will hatch and fly. You must keep soil dry for at least one week.

You need 8 weeks of flowering time for purple hulk. Take a look at my two purple hulk diaries (if you need references!) Both times I harvested on week 13. Your plants look great for the week you are on =)
