First Marijuana grow. Really first time growing any plant. Planted 20/3 in Rockwool with Phd water. First sprouted two days later. As in Rockwool and autoflowers being quite speedy growers I began providing a light feed after a couple of days. I am making my own nutrients using chemicals/salts mainly bought off Ebay, using the program Hydrobuddy (Daniel Fernandez, "HydroBuddy: An open source nutrient calculator for hydroponics and General agriculture", v1.6, url: http://scienceinhydroponics.com , 2016) to calculate my recipes given my target PPMs. Currently I am using TintEastwoods vegitation recipe for target PPMs (https://www.rollitup.org/t/greenleaf-megacrop.956634/post-14898600) and applying it at 1/5 to 1/4 strength. The PPM of my nutrients is around 250 currently with my tap water itself only being 35PPM. Overall pretty happy with the progress. Growth may have been stunted early on by messing around with the rockool, damaging the baby roots.

Looking a bit weird, not sure if there is a problem or not. The PH is ok, maybe some deficiency but I cant tell. Im thinking that it is acutally the light being too close at the moment. Its not too hot as its cold out and the LED provides little heat but it might be working too hard from so much light.

Hmmm, I've got some nutrient issues by the looks. Is that dark splotch on the leaf indicating phosphorus deficiency? My pH is OK. Looks like a few things are going wrong. Thanks!!

G'day. Been a while. Plant has been looking pretty healthy apart from some tip burn but is growing slowly :( Not flowering either, which Im not sure if its due to it being cold most days (about 20c) or the Autoflower genetics havnt been passed onto this seed and I might need to switch it to 12/12 to get it to do so.

She has grown a lot but still not flowering. Has got the female pre flower as seen in the photo of the main stalk. So long and slow. Will keep the 12/12 light cycle on for now, maybe not needed but whatever. Fingers crossed she flowers soon, really want some bud. Not sure if i should do a light defoliation or let her be. Have been tucking but the leaves are so large and strong they pop back up quickly. Looks healthy apart from some scaring from weeks prior down low. Any suggestions on her not flowering for so long would be appreciated. One other thing the last couple of mornings she has been covered in water which I’m guessing the high humidity has been contributing to; it can get up to 90% with the light and heater off overnight. My de humidifier doesn’t have the power to suck out the moisture the plant is evaporating but still the leaves literally being coated in water is surprising and there is no where water is coming in from the outside, its indoors in a water tight shed. Funny

Everythings going good and well. Might have a slight micronutrient problem that ill try and fix in the new batch of nutrient Ill mix up soon. The tiny, sub 100mg measurements are hard to do and its easy to go way over or under on them. Defoliated as there were so many large fan leaves blocking light to even just slightly below the top of the cannopy. 😀

Hi, does anyone know what's causing some of my very lowest leaves to become like this? They are still attached to the plant but fall off really easily and look like they've had the life sucked out of them. The rest of the plant looks relatively fine.

Growing well. Reduced the PPM slightly as bottom leaves looked a bit burnt. Bud's slowly forming. Pictures don't do it justice. Little bunches are popping up everywhere

Ok starting to look nice. I’ve realised my TDS meter calculates a low ppm given the EC therefore I’ve been thinking my PPMs are lower than they probably have been thus the burning leaves. From now on I’m going to use the EC reading of my meter as that is what it actually measures. I’m not sure how long left as this is my first plant. I have a handheld microscope I can use to check the crystals but there don’t seem to be any good spots to get in and use it on easily at the moment, I don’t want to damage the buds too bad. Finaly made a rig that allowed me to raise my light even more as it was too close and I had run out of room to go higher. Its been a funny plant a far as I can tell. Took a long time to flower but is pretty large and seems pretty healthy. Keen for the harvest. 😀 A few weeks ago I changed my nutrient ratios to the ones fourth last on the chart (B...) in the photo and have used it at a watered down rate for the plant. Fattening up nicely. Lots of three leaf fan leaves. They weren't like that and I'm not sure if it's getting stressed somehow. All conditions seem fine. Still growing fine.

Any ideas what the problem is? I thought it was burning so I lowered the EC but then it started looking both burnt and low in nitrogen. Just want to hear a second opinion. Added Nitrogen so they've greened up a bit now. The pH is fine. EC 0.8. Thanks

I literally had the same problem with one of my white widow, and then i just cut her down, the whole thing spreaded to the top, and i still have no idea why. I think it was due to the old azospirilum i used on.

At this point it's normal for that to happen to overly bushy plants in flower. Your tops are happy and that's what we are looking for anyway! Check out my diary to see how I lollipoped to help alleviate this issue with my tent grow. Hopefully this helps! Happy Growing! 🤟😜

Never got around to updating this. Grow was a good learning experience that will help coming grows go much more smoothly. Despite taking forever and having a fair few deficiencies throughout, the quality of bud turned out great, better than anything you can get in my location anyway. Mates loved it.
