I am very excited to start this strain. I previously had a lemon kush strain from female seeds growing but it went hermaphrodite early into flowering so I chopped it down to prevent pollinating another plant (Cheese autoflower from Canuk seeds currently drying). This will be my first real attempt to grow some nice kush. I will only use LST for these strains because it seems kush strains may be more susceptible to stress-induced hermaphroditism. Hopefully I continue to update this and don't forget.
🙏
These girls are starting to take hold now, LST will start soon just letting them bulk up a bit more. Very excited, vegetative phenotypes appear quite similar so far. Given them one feed at full strength (maybe a bad idea), might do two waterings before feeding again.
🙏
LST is working well after some initial resistance from these strong girls. I am very happy with their growth rate now, they move quite quickly these days. I am going to try to maximize bushiness with LST over the next couple weeks before flipping to flower. 🙏
I am continuing to flush these ladies as the growing node tips are still a little yellow. Flowering started over three days with light time dropped gradually to 12/12. This is day 1 of complete 12/12. May use half strength fox farm grow big and tiger bloom at next feed. 🙏
White pistils are visible. Stretching is going on now I believe, every day I adjust the ties to keep her low and flat. Might let it go vertical soon because these girls are filling up their shoes nicely. Fed once with half strength nutrients. Once flowering starts getting photo worthy I will take pics with the light off. 🙏
Coming along very nicely, tightly spaced nodes, very excited. Starting to drink a lot. Vertical growth still quite obvious, LST continues but I think they will focus on flowers instead of vertical growth soon. 🙏
I am starting to see trichome development now which is exciting. Robust growth, still lots of LST. Things appear to be going smoothly with lots of tops! Will start adding fox farm cha Ching in the coming weeks. 🙏
Continuing to grow, focus is now almost entirely on flowers. I wish I vegged these strains a bit longer, they didn’t double in size so far during flower, maybe 70% increase in height with consistent LST. Foot tall plants may have been closer to optimal prior to flowering. No chaching added this week, but definitely at the next feeding.
Pure flower development now. Buds appear to fatten most overnight after watering or feeding. They jus got their first dose of cha Ching yesterday. I am excited to see how resin production is impacted. Some frost already but nothing astonishing.
Terpene production has ramped up based on aroma, already a complex scent, although I’m not very good at describing this kind of stuff. Again not as big of plants as I wanted, but I’m hoping these last 3 weeks or so will be fortuitous for flower development and resin production.
Odour is very strong, temps are slightly high, won’t get this sorted in time for it to matter for these girls. They don’t seem to mind too much I’m just worried I may be losing aroma from the flowers. They really enjoy the chaching, I normally flush after two feedings with it but they don’t seem to mind. Flowers are swelling and growing a lot. 🙏
They are so close. Flushing now. Basically the home stretch may go another 7-10 days. Can’t wait to see how the flowers finish, they look beautiful to me already 😍🙏.
One plant is finishing up nicely, the other looks like it has more time left and has a lot of white pistils still. The main cola is the largest I’ve ever grown though 😍. Want to harvest both simultaneously so I may go another week. 🙏
No trip reports yet, plants were just cut today. Will update in a couple weeks but they look like some of, if not my nicest flowers so I have high hopes 🙏.
Violator Kush doesn’t double in height during flowering in my tent, so keep that in mind. Large dense colas on tops, thick branching from main stem. Flowers were very heavy and moved easily with the plant at harvest day. Not the strongest odour plants I have grown.
