After the second week, I'm pretty happy with the progress! 😎 The good weather for now accompanies us in this delicate phase, fortunately.
I confess I don't know what to expect, I don't use any nutrients ... just a good soil for seeds. 👽
Looking at the other growers, I realized that with these autoflowering Gorillas, I will have relatively small plants when flowering begins ... so I try to look at many other diaries to understand how to optimize the harvest as much as possible.
I think next week I'm going to move the plants into larger pots. What do you think of this? Do not hesitate to give me your advice, thank you!
See you next week and good growth for all👊 🙏
Halfway through the third week, I repotted the plants in 3.5 / 4 liter pots. I felt it was the right time, in the first pots the roots actually started to make many turns on the bottom. I hope I have paid enough attention not to stress them too much, they should benefit ... at least I hope! Day 18, it's all right 👊😎
I made a mistake this week. I wanted to try with the LST but after two days, with the plants getting bigger and bigger, I realized that the 3.5 l pots are too small for this technique. So I removed the hooks and this is the result: crooked but healthy plants. 😅
SO I don't know what to do: repot and continue with LST? unfortunately, however, you have already advised me against repotting the autoflowering plants, I would not strain them yet. Or put on a normal vertical brace? I'm more inclined for the second solution, but I think I should start with another technique anyway. Defoliation? Topping? Main lining? I don't know..help! 😷
thanks for the advice and good growth to all! 🙏✌️
flowering has started this week and the plants have grown quite well even if not with sensational results. My mistake of the past week with the LST technique has created problems for me. One morning I found one of the three very folded, with a brownish stain on the crease ... worried, I put tutors on all the other plants to straighten them, I hope I have not stressed them too much.
see you next week and good growth 💚
@Filou, in the wild nobody picks leaves. I lst & defoliation a little mid bloom. But depends how she grow. Take a look @ my g.g autos r pretty big under LED
@BDD_RJP,Oh ok! I thought to do it later ... it also depends on how the growth goes, the Gorillas will be small when they start to bloom..I thought I would use some defoliation, topping and maybe LST..but I'm still not sure of anything 😕 why you don't?
@WeedTheNorth, yes, I have a small garden and I put 6 plants .. I don't know how it will happen with the neighbors but ... who will live will see😂
my english is google translation 😁
Hey also from Belgium here ;).
Following you so I can check up on your first grow, while I'm doing mine aswel. :D
I think we started growing about the same time, so hopefully we can learn something from one another.
Have a great grow and a happy 420!!
@Tikihoofd,hey! cool, I started following you too! which part of belgium are you from? me from Liège. I saw your diary, beautiful! for the moment I grow outdoors, but I think that for the next I will do autoflowering indoors by buying some material. It is certainly a type of grow more suitable for this country. I also wish you a beautiful growth!!! 👊✌️
Wish you a great grow dude!! When I put plants (in general) at the sun, i realize that the plastic pot get too hot! I do put a felt (fabric) around them, so it takes the sun instead the pots. Roots doesn't like high temp. I do suggest you protecting them! Also, small holes on the pot increase oxygen rate on roots, they need it.
Wish you a great grow!
You’re a bit late for re-potting but I see you have multiple plants in 3.5L pots. You could re-pot one and compare in yield after you harvest.
Next time take much bigger pots, I use minimum 16 to 26L.
Good luck!
