I started this diary because I was astonished with what could be accomplished growing in an Aerogarden Farm under only the stock 60W Aerogarden LED lighting. My current circumstances dictate that I grow autoflower plants because I'm not able to devote enough space to accommodate a 12 hour dark period - my setup is very simple and it's an "open air" setup without the use of a grow tent. I settled on growing one plant in the 0.11 square meter grow space and intend to try LST and defoliation. Stay tuned until the end and maybe you will be surprised by the results. Thanks for viewing and I look forward to discussion and learning.
This plant was starting early stages of flowering. I was a bit late getting to it perhaps, but started LST this week and had a training accident as you can see in the pictures above. Main stem was "repair" with some tape and I moved forward hoping for the best. Started adding Big Bud supplement during feedings.
Fed partial week with Overdrive only with pH adjusted water adjusted with 85% H3PO4. Used Grotek Final Flush part way through week - seemed to work perfectly - plant is showing a nice fade now 4 days later which is exactly what I was hoping for. This plant has been a joy to grow - super easy and highly productive. It's hard to believe that this was grown completely under 60W LED!
Next Generation Seeds indicate that this strain is 100% indica (Afghan/Hash Plant x BC Kush). It's the autoflower version of this strain that I've grown out here. The breeder's website indicates it can be grown seed to harvest in 75-80 days. I've grown this out twice now and learned that this genetic takes well to LST and some defoliation throughout veg and into bloom. Although the LST and defoliation might have slowed the growth (mine finished up at 90 days) it definitely increased the yield! First grow with no LST yielded ~30g. Second grow with LST here yielded 78g! This strain finishes with very frosty, resin coated and dense buds with hints of pink and purple on leaves and calyxes. Overall, I found this strain was robust and easy to grow and it has the effects I'm looking for. These autoflower buds benefited from a longer curing time ~6-9 months resulting in dramatic and positive shifts in taste and flavor profiles.
I documented this grow because I was astonished at what could be accomplished growing in an Aerogarden Farm under only 60W of LED lighting. I posted this diary to share the results with the broader community. There were some challenges and learning along the way but once I got the system and nutrients dialed in I could not be happier with the results. This plant bulked up over the last 2 weeks with noticeable daily growth and rapid trichome production over the last 14 days. Final yield was ~78g with about 56g of "A" buds and the remaining 22g comprised of somewhat loose "B" bud from lower parts of the canopy under the 60W LED. The "B" buds are still very frosty with trichomes but the bud structure is somewhat looser than the main bud sites. I harvested the plant in sections and did light wet trimming and hung to dry at ~55-58% relative humidity and hung to dry for about 5 days. After hanging the buds were further trimmed and then finished drying in paper bags for an additional ~5 days before being placed in glass jars for curing. In the end, this grow resulted in a whopping 1.3 g/watt from 0.1 sq m grow space under 60W LED. Overall, I'm very happy with the result.
@v0id043,
Hey! Yeah I'll give a brief explanation - I hatched the seeds in pH neutral (~7.0) dampness in a paper towel in an unsealed baggie. The seed cracked in about 48 hours and I transplanted into a pre-cleaned sponge grow media. Once it was transplanted into the grow media and placed into the hydro setup I slowly adjusted the pH down to ~6.1 over the first few days. I've found this strain prefers 5.7-6.2 and particularly seems to like to be at 6.1-6.2 during late stage flowering.
I specify "pre-cleaned" sponge because I have previously found that these sponges seem to come with various fungi and/or molds that they claim are "beneficial" but I've found they definitely interfere with early development of my cannabis seeds. Once I started pre-cleaning the sponges in a dilute bleach material (and subsequently thoroughly rinsed and dried) this problem was eliminated.
Ty for the explained,
Brother, microorganism efficient is good to germination but i think the medium dont have goods microorganism because they need to eats sugar to live and reproduce, i like molasses and fert bokashi premium, this microorganisms is essencial to transplant and process the nutrient carrying to the plant.
I made my proper nutrients, my new system is hydroponic but a little different than your system.
Ill start today a new diaries with incredible plant please follow me and go learn more together, thank u so much, sorry if i write a little wrong, idk all words in inglish hahah, bye! Have u a good end week.
