Day 1 of 60-72. I'd like it closer to the light, but I am also growing one critical purple kush plant. We'll see how it turns out. I sprouted the seed in 2 days and put it into one of those seed starter pods, today I just transferred it to a Solo cup to help establish a solid root system before moving it to my 3 gal planter.

How much and often should I be watering newer plants and how often should I use the fertilizer? I also have heard of problems with fungas gnats, how do you get rid of them?

Hi mate.give small amounts of water at a time (100ml), between watering let the soil dry well, if you take the pot after watering the substrate is very heavy, when it is almost dry it is very light, try to orient yourself like that, too much wet substrate may be the cause for the plant not to grow. Try to keep the humidity at 70% -80% during the vegetative state of the plant. And only start giving growth fertilizers when the second to real leaves grow. See if the plants tolerate the soil to dry superficially between waterings. Drying between watering intervals is very effective in controlling gnats. Use yellow sticky traps that help control and monitor the problem. Sprinkle cinnamon over the surface of the pots. They have a fungicidal action and control the fungi that feed the Fungus gnat. Sprinkle diatomite (diatomaceous soil) on the surface of the vessels. The contact and ingestion of the silicon microparticles present in this material, ends up causing dehydration and injuries in the digestive tract of insects, acting as well as a non-poisonous insecticide.Good luck mate

Topped it this week to get four main colas. I have been using some of the Big Bloom but used too much and singed a few of the growths. oops! I have reduced the nutrients and just fed it water, it is growing big and bushy!

Not sure if we are close to flowering? No nutrients after too much nitrogen last week, letting it flush with just water and waiting for the first signs of flower before I switch it up to Fox Farm Big Bloom.

This week the NYC Diesel started to flower! I did topping on one side and the other I did not, but I just defoliated the plant as it is getting ready to flower. Day 43-75

This is the second week of flowering for the Auto NYC Diesel. I think I gave it a little too much of the big bloom at the time of flowering and some of the buds are curling because of the excess nutrients. Other than that, she's healthy and smells great! Can't wait to meet her on Juneteenth!

Haven't posted in a bit cause my other browser always gave me errors when uploading photos. Any ways, this baby has been growing since March and is ready to harvest as of June 10.

This is my first grow. I fudged up with fast strains and autos and regular photoperiods. Alas, she is still good and produced some nice buds. I am still learning and realized what I should be doing in the next grow. Thanks for all the comments and support, OGgrows, Little_miss_grow, EhCndGrower!
