LED vs Cheap LED vs HPS Clones & Seeds

Update week 4 day 23. The girls are looking healthy, started them on cannaboost and massive bloom pk 50-33 on saturday, looks like there might be a couple of keepers 🤞🏼 Some nice phenotypes. I took some individual photos of some of the plants under the LED's. Complicated to take individual photos of every plant as there is 20 of them to get out the grow room.. Will be able to take some more when i do a clean out next week. So, what differences are there between the 205w Cob led ramps and the 600w viparspectra ? This is obviously a unfair test and would have to be done using clones only to make it fair ( mabey next time ) The 410w cob ramps are covering 1 square meter just like the 600w viparspectra ( more like 300w.. ) First is light penetration into the canopy, a lot more effecient in favor of the cobs, flower sites being more advanced on the bottom half of the plants. Second would be harvest weight, the plants seem to be putting on a lot more weight under the cobs. Third would be trichome production, now don't get me wrong, the viparspectra 600w is also very good at this test and is usually better then the HPS. From experience Leds have better trichome production and denser flower results then HPS. But the cobs are definetly on another level... Things are really getting sticky under there... 😎 So... Now i have kind of "beaten up" the viparspectra, why buy one ? The cobs are close to 400euros per ramp, thats 800euros... The viparspectra 600w is 169euros... I think the viparspectra is good for someone getting into leds and is good for growing 2 plants maximum in a 80x80 grow room using a Hst, Lst or Scrog technique to help with the penetration issus. In this case it's a great bang for your buck ! 👍🏼 I will obviously be doing some end results at harvest time. Thanks for following ! Hope you enjoy 😎

Update day 29 of flowering. Big clean out of the grow room this week, also gave the girls a good clean, looking nice and tidy in there 😊 Unfortunately the Superskunk under the COB had to leave due to hermie issues. She has been replaced by the Sticky Superskunk that was under the HPS. The smell coming from this plant is amazing, very pungent and very oily smell. Very interesting phenotype. Both gorilla smell very gassy/diesel like, the gorilla under the COB having a hint of citrus also. The california indica smells of orange and sweet afghani hash, just what i expected. The lemon critical smells like straight lemon as usual. Forgot to take photos of the bubbalicious, will update on her next week. Otherwise all is going well in the growroom, the plants are healthy and starting to put on some weight. Update day 36. Hi growmates ! Unfortunately due to some connexion problems i am a couple of days late on my update. Things are going well this week, the plants are healthy and super frosty 😎 I also made friends with a hornet living in the grow room, but unfortunately i didn't trust him and killed him.. I started the flush end of last week on the cali indica under the COB. She is a really fast flowering phenotype. She should be ready at day 50. I will also be starting to flush most of the girls next week. The gorilla under the HPS is amazing, she will not be a heavy producer at all, but having been able to taste some " Real " gorilla glue abroad she is the closest i have ever seen to the " real " thing.. Super dense, super sticky with a very pungent citrus diesel aroma. Amazing genetics from Dinafem ! There gorilla is usually really good but this phenotype is off the chart !! I tried to take the best bud shots i could, unfortunately its complicated to get all the plants out the room and take photos of all the girls.. i will do a big update of all of them before harvest though. Update of COB vs Viparspectra : The COB is definelty more of a heavy producer, better light penetration and best overall quality but after growing a few times with the viparspectra i have come to realize that the viparspectra makes very dense buds, like rock hard everytime.
