I know I haven't got these photos in proper order. I'll figure it out and update - what else have we got to do during quarantine?
Repotted this critter into her final container (5 gallon fabric) on April 1, and moved her outside for the duration. Wanted to get this batch of autoflowers outdoors ASAP to see how they fare in the cooler temps. Might get a couple days of rain over the weekend so might put her back in the tent for that as she's still a little on the fragile side. We'll see.
She seems to have adjusted to the repotting and moving outdoors well. We had 3 days in a row of nice sunshine in the low 60s and now we're gonna get a couple days of rain, which we always gladly accept in California. I've moved her back into the tent for the next couple days until the sun comes back out, which will probably be Monday.
This girl seems to have acclimated nice to the move outdoors; she appears to be the growth leader in height.. After a couple days of slow growth things are starting to pick up. Weather should be turning warm for the next few days. No sign of rain.
This is the outdoor version of CBD Crack. I grew an indoor version in my CBD Farming diary and she turned out a bit smaller but ripened a bit faster. The upper cola on the outside plant was immense. Couldn't get my hand around it.
I put this girl in my shed with my grow tent overnight so I didn't need to get up at the crack of dawn to cut her down, and she could get a little extra dark time. Normally I wash my outdoor plants but I'm not sure it's worth the effort with autoflowers since the plants in general are so small. I'll see how these look when they dry up enough to be trimmed.
She has an immensly thick top cola which will be difficult to trim when the time comes - but hey - what else do we have to do in quarantine?
I'm in the process of procuring some test equipment so I can check the relative strength of my new crop - both in THC and CBD. It's called a tCheck (https://tcheck.me/). Not cheap... but I'm a gadget freak, and retired engineer.
June 9 >> Took about an hour to trim this girl. The buds were a lot more airy than the indoor version.
The outdoor girls look really nice... but that's really because I get to sit with them on the patio for more time during the day to admire them, whereas the girls in the tent are kinda hidden away for most of the day and I check on them at regular times of day.
The outdoor girls are a bit larger, but the indoor girls are starting to pre-flower now.
This girl is winning the outdoor vertical growth contest, if there was one. She looks a little untidy with some leaf curling but the leaves are quite broad - indica like.
This girl is the growth leader outdoors, growing about 5" last week, but still a couple inches shorter than the indoor FB36. She's showing a littl leaf discoloration so we'll back off on the nutrients a bit compared to her sisters on the patio. It was REALLY hot the last 3 days and we're cooling back to normal now for hopefully a bit.
She seems to have leveled off in the vertical growth department, only growing about an inch last week. She's only an inch behind the biggest indoor girl which has also slowed growth vertically. She gets fed every other watering.
The tallest of my outdoor plants, I'l probably take some trichome sample this weekend and pick a date when I should flush. The indoor girl seems to be a bit further along, but I'll have to take a closer look. I've already decided Monday is flush day for the indoor version.
This girl hasn't got very long to go on this planet - but she's putting up a fight. I'm trying to judge her health by how much she's drinking. And she still drinks a fair bit. She has stalks like a redwood tree and I can't even get my hand around the top cola. Gonna be interesting trimming this one. Already been flushed and ready to go - just seeing how fat she can get.
Watching an interesting streaming benefit for Colorado Music tonight... consuming and donating. 👍
@@Sonoma_Sungrown, Funny thing is I've been saving all the CBD heavy stuff I grew in the spring until it is fully cured and I can decipher the testing stuff. I have some stock of Cream & Cheese which is 1:1 CBD-THC which should roughly match the CBD Crack here. But I still gots some questions that a higher authority needs to answer first. 😑
