Unfortunately my last attempt germinating went wrong, I planted clover cover crop and after 7 days nothing was poking through, they were barely a cm down and after 5 days of no seedling i checked the soil carefully and found loads of worms that had eaten all of the clover seeds and my C4 and Purple Lemonade were nowhere to be seen, i made a beginner mistake of mixing store bought peat moss and worm castings but it had worms in it so i will buy more premium supersoil with plenty of perlite. I germinated these seeds in a cup of 0 ppm RO+DI water and then paper towel method until both tails were a few cm long and planted on a hill of soil in my air pots. for the first few months of having my RO system it was always at neutral 7 pH but lately i'm getting 6.2 pH even after letting my system run for over an hour plus calibrating my pH meter, i prefer not to use pH up and down with seedlings as it raises the ppms, the pH will fluctuate with the certain microbes and bacteria i mix with my water to feed the soil, natural is the best way. watering using a spray nozzle Day 1- 2ppm pH 6.2 | seed shells hanging off, keeping soil moist for the clovers. Day 2- 2ppm pH 6.2 | no clovers poking through yet. Day 3- 2ppm pH 6.2 | ^^^^^^^ Day 4- 2ppm pH 6.2 | clovers starting to raise the soil and poke through, both seedlings getting 200 par at 32". Day 5- 56ppm pH 7.2 | Mycorrhizal inoculant, 1 teaspoon per L. Day 6- 2ppm pH 6.2 | slowly starting to zoom out as it grows. Day 7- 55ppm pH 7.3 | Root Roids 1/4 teaspoon per L.

I'm looking forward to how these will do, its only just the start! Day 8- 40ppm pH 6.8 | Root Roids Day 9- 2ppm pH 6.0 | the ph from my RO system keeps dropping, i may eventually need to buy a new filter but the ppms are still low so not sure if i need to replace the sediment or carbon filter <------ comment below if you know which one! Day 10- 2ppm pH 6.0 | sprinkled some clover seeds since some didn't come through. Day 11- 2ppm pH 6.0 | i ordered some ph up powder, should come in a few days. Day 12- 2ppm pH 6.4 | Day 13- 2ppm pH 6.0 | the growth is going to be very exponential from now on. Day 14- 95ppm pH 8.2 | Root Roids 1/2 teaspoon per L

this is by far the fastest and healthiest growing plants ive had to date, looking forward to training these down at the end of the week Day 15- 2ppm pH 6.4 | Lower nodes starting to grow out Day 16- 3ppm pH 6.6 | Letting the soil dry out slightly inbetween watering to promote more root growth Day 17- 3ppm pH 6.6 | Day 18- 23ppm pH 7.2 | Mycorrhizal inoculant, 3/4 teaspoon per L. Starting to tuck the leaves under the first nodes. Day 19- 3ppm pH 6.6 | I cut the lowest node on the cbd because it was very short and not getting light. Day 20- 3ppm pH 6.6 | Also cut the lowest node on the gelato. Day 21- 3ppm pH 7.2 | Week 3 Conclusion: The CBD 20:1 is really compact and short i might not have to train it at all :) on the other side the Gelato is growing like crazy! i'm keeping my eye on the new nodes on the branches so i can start to LST them when they get long enough, so far this gelato is decently spread out and looks like its gonna be fun to train i couldn't be happier.

Day 22- 117ppm pH 8.2 | Root Roids 1/2 teaspoon per L, Gelato is spreading itself out nice and the CBD has pistils poking out already. Day 23- 2ppm pH 7 | Very dry where i am at the moment, my 4L humidifier empties everyday. Day 24- 2ppm pH 7 | Day 25- 2ppm pH 7 | CBD already flowering im expecting the stretch very soon since its still small. Day 26- 2ppm pH 7 | Getting ready to tie down the Gelato's branches to let the internodes grow up, not sure how i'm gonna train the top down 😕 Day 27- 275ppm pH 7.9 | Fruit Roids 1/2 teaspoon per L. up until now i haven't touched the plant, i'm gonna train the branches down flat so all the internodes can grow up, "just like a candelabra" -Kyle Kushman. Day 28- ^^^^^^^^^^ | when is the big stretch?? Week 4 Conclusion: I'll let the flowering CBD do it's thing because i can't really train it, I'm gonna have fun training this Gelato! 😎

Training has started! I'm using 5mm rubber twist ties, i took it very slow bending the top stem down without any cracks or pops and the other branches were easier, I tried to make the Gelato level with the CBD. I really hope this CBD stretches so the lower branches can get light. Day 29- 2ppm pH 6.6 | I cut all the clover cover crop halfway and sprinkled with clover seeds then covered it with supersoil. Day 30- 2ppm pH 6.6 | Day 31- 108ppm pH 8.8 | Root Roids 1/2 teaspoon per L, Gelato growing back quick just waiting for the stretch! Day 32- 2ppm pH 7 | Took away some twist ties Day 33- 2ppm pH 7 | Day 34- 2ppm pH 7 | Day 35- 2ppm pH 7 | Week 5 Conclusion: LST was easier than i thought but i would like less internodes so next time i grow Gelato i'll chop the first two nodes off and bend it down earlier.

Getting very lazy with the uploads recently but i'm just starting week 10 and should have a few pics every week. Feeding both plants 500mL everyday but the Gelato dries up quicker because it vegged longer, the roots of it are like spaghetti growing everywhere even back upto the surface. Every Day Feed is 6.5pH 3ppm from my RO-DI system Tuesday - Fruit Roids 1 teaspoon per Litre | pH 6.5-250ppm Thursday Fortnightly - Mycorrhizal inoculant 1 teaspoon per L | pH 7-80ppm Friday - Root Roids 1/2 teaspoon per Litre | pH 7.5-150ppm The CBD smells like sweet mango and the Gelato doesn't have a distinct smell yet but it is the frostiest buds ive ever grown with weeks still to go! SWELL BABY SWELL!

5 days of flushing and all non sugar leaves are dying but still have resistance if you try to pull them. I could take the gelato longer but i'm in need of some high quality ice cream. I definitely made the mistake at the start of over watering and not letting the soil dry out enough for the roots to search for water. At one point i had algae growing at the surface soil of the gelato. NEXT GROW:~~~~Purple Lemonade in 50L Air Pot~~~~

@@54degreesnorth, harvesting today. what really is flushing, i have fed my plants 3ppm RO water since the start and i never allow any runoff so you could say ive been flushing since the start. :P
