This is one of two Fastbuds CBD strains I'm going to grow an outdoor version of this isolation spring. It's a tester version of a CBD 2:1 variety. There will be an indoor version of this in my CBD Farming diary for comparison.
I repotted this girl and moved her outdoors on April 1.
She seems to have adjusted to the repotting and moving outdoors well. We had 3 days in a row of nice sunshine in the low 60s and now we're gonna get a couple days of rain, which we always gladly accept in California. I've moved her back into the tent for the next couple days until the sun comes back out, which will probably be Monday.
This girl seems to have acclimated nice to the move outdoors. After a couple days of slow growth things are starting to pick up. Weather should be turning warm for the next few days. No sign of rain.
April 16 > Looks like a lotta fog the next couple days but she's vegging nicely.
The outdoor girls look really nice... but that's really because I get to sit with them on the patio for more time during the day to admire them, whereas the girls in the tent are kinda hidden away for most of the day and I check on them at regular times of day.
The outdoor version of this girl is actually significantly smaller than the indoor version (4.5" outdoor versus 8" indoor) at present but I expect that might change. The indoor girl has pre-flowers but the outdoor girl doesn't. Same exact age. Different number of hours of light per day.
This girl is just a shade behind her CBD Crack sister in the growth department. Motoring right along. Mother nature has been good to us this week. A little less fog... a little more high quality light. The girls are digging it.
This girl is moving along nicely BUT.... I'll be damned if there isn't a tinge of purple going on near the edges of these leaves, many of which seem to curl a bit up vertically.
Now... the FastBuds folks sent me a few testers which are labelled as FB37 and are supposed to be a PURPLE version of their 20:1 CBD strain... and I naturally have a couple of these growing at the moment but they are a few weeks younger and showing no signs of color. It will be interesting to compare these girls as they grow up.
This particular girl is supposed to be tester version FB36 (and I'm growing an indoor vs outdoor with this one). FB36 is supposed to be a 2:1 - CBD:THC variety.
By the time mid-summer rolls around, I will have the capability of home testing the end result CBD and THC profiles of these babies. That's the plan.
This outdoor girl is like half the size of my indoor version of this variety. Weird. She only grew an inch vertically last week. This is the girl with a case of the purps.
I just kicked my FB37's outdoors today to make room for the seedlings of my summer photoperiod crop in the tent. Those FB37s are SUPPOSED to be purple so we'll see how they compare as they grow up.
This is the weird one. The smallest of my outdoor plants, she grows very dense. And she definitely has some purple showing - but on the BOTTOM of the fan leaves, not upstairs. The indoor version of this variety doesn't show me any purple like this, so maybe she's a tester that got away in the weeds.
Another girl that probably only has a day or two left on this planet. She's grown amazingly dense - and short. Trying to pull fan leaves off of this baby will probably be futile at harvest - which will be soon.
She's showing a significant amount of purple - more than either of my theoretical purple 20:1 CBD plants (FBT37) - but the purple is clearly on the underside of the leaf. Go figure.
This girl turned out to be a mini-me. One of the smallest autoflowers I've grown. Now... I grew an indoor version of this variety in my CBD Farming diary and she was the tallest of all the autoflowers I grew this spring, so I'm not sure about that. The outdoor version also was showing a fair amount of purple on the underside of the leaves. Not that way on the inside version.
I put this girl in my shed with my grow tent overnight so I didn't need to get up at the crack of dawn to cut her down, and she could get a little extra dark time. Normally I wash my outdoor plants but I'm not sure it's worth the effort with autoflowers since the plants in general are so small. I'll see how these look when they dry up enough to be trimmed.
This particular version is a "tester" variety FB36 which is alleged to be a 2:1... CBD:THC baby. I'm in the process of procuring some test equipment to see what I actually have after we're all done.
June 9 >> Took me all of maybe 15 minutes to trim the little girl... while I was on the phone the whole time too.
