- After two days of germination in wet kitchen napkin, I put it beneath about two fingers of CannaTerra. Next morning it was out (see picture)
- Transplanted on 7th day. Didn't know that the HPS lamp (400w) was going to raise the degrees so badly, gotta keep the tent open :(
Day 8: Doing good I think. Didn't water her again. Leaves seem a little bit thin and weak, but I guess they are still too young.
Day 10: Leaves were a little bit dry and crispy, I think that it can be because high temperatures.
Day 11: Yesterday I connected a fan and an humidifer, with this the temperature dropped a few degrees and now the leaves seem better (less crispy) ^__^
Day 14: Leaves are beginning to grow fatter :) Keeping a good ventilation and trying to maintain a good humidity level helps a lot to control the temperature.
Day 15: I have a curly leaf, maybe due to overwatering (or bad fan position, because others are looking great - what do you think? 🧐🤔). I will try to be careful 💗
Day 17: Trying LST. The only idea is to bend apart the main branch, in orden to make other branches compete for its place (and take a lot of light ☀️)
Day 22 - Let's start with week 4! 🙅♀️
In my battle with the heat, I am now a little better with the humidifier and the fan. I also put a wet towel to help out with humidity. At the end of the week, I hope to be seeing the first signs of flowering 🏵️
Day 26 - It is starting! Really quick, let's see if the green scaffolding develops a lot of big buds 💚
Day 27 - Started to water her with a little bit of Top Bloom (just a drop per liter)
I have this Dinafem auto (first grow ever). A friend told me to cut all the fan leaves and bottom branches. His claim is that the buds that these branches yield are too small and it is more productive to make the plant focus its energy on the top buds. What do you think? Thanks!
You will know for sure if you let her grow.
At the harvest, you will see that small lower branches will not produce much. I suggest that you keep the sucker branches and see it for yourself. Then you will have a sense on what to take off on the next round. Keeping the small branches will not reduce your yield much. Just your top buds will not be as big and beautiful as they could be.
Lower fan leaves, should be takend off though. You don't want it to block air circulation.
There are many things to learn and unlearn from the first grow.
Day 29 - So here we are with the pretty lady! I saw some signs of the newbie's top 1 error: nutrients over feeding (the tips of some leaves were light yellow). The next watering was only with tap water.
Day 31 - Slowly, but I think the little buddies are growing! <3
Day 35 - The second flowering week has started. I am a little bit eager because I do not see the buds growing that much, but I guess that it going slowly (at least the first week)
Day 37 - I forgot to open the tent before the light went on (only way to increase ventilation as the tent is too small) and I stressed the lady a bit with the heat level. Let's see if she does recover well :(
Yesteday I got a ventilation problem and the tent reached 100 F for some minutes 😭😭 The plant seems to be ok except for those bleached stains on a couple of leaves. Is that caused by Heat stress? Can I so something to help her heal herself?
Hey bro :-) it could come from the heat, but since it was not so long and the plant itself looks a bit darker, I hope that it doesn't start with a blockage :-). To be on the safe side, I would not completely flush the next 2 pouring processes, but pour a little more, adjust Ph and Ec to a quarter dose, that should help :-) Keep going so it will be great 😎🌱
The smell of the buds is weird... It is like stale water, a bit like rotten. No yellow leaves or wilting, stem seems firm. The branches have stopped growing but the buds keep developing. Yesterday I flushed and let it drain, no improvement. Any ideas? Thanks a lot!!
Salut le jardinier ! une fois on avais mis trop de pk 13 14 et l'odeur des plantes a changer . c'étais bien sucré et tout d'un coup ça a commencer a sentir bizarre comme de l'essence et quand on l'a fumer c'étais bizarre aussi comme si l'odeur elle même avais moisi . bonne chance
Day 43 - Sooo I finally bought the pipette and realized I was underfeeding my plants (error 1) but by this time I also realized that the nutrients that I am using (Top Crop) are meant to be used once a week (error 2)... and I was using them in each watering!! So, kind of saved by the combination of the two errors: a little Nitrogen excess I believe but she keep rocking.
I know, this can be the TOP CLUMSY NEWBIE DIARY OF THE MONTH... ^____^u
Day 42 - Now that for sure I have a Nitrogen excess, I am going to flush the soil to try to recover some balance. Buds keep getting fat in spite of all the problems. Got some time till harvest, I think that at least another two weeks... Let's see how does it go!
I am posting this at the end of the week, didn't have time to keep it updated.
Week 8 highlights:
-I had another plant in the tent which I thought that was an auto... It was kind slow compared to this one so I investigated a bit... Photoperiod xDD (gift from Dinafem 💚). So I am trying to get her into flowering changing the light cycle to 12-12. The central hour of the day are being really sunny so bring her outside for a couple of hours.
-Bud are getting fat <3 the smell is not great, but let's see how it seems when dried.
-I have flushed her with like f** LOTS of water, water was really brownish and salty, I guess she had suffered a bit because of me being a potato head with the nutes.

Does this seem like rot? (Pic 1&2) It is the last week of flowering, what should I do? :((( I do not see anything else wrong except for some top sugar leaves that are partly white (Pic 3) -not covered by anything but white themselves. Thanks!
Hello.. Hope you are well.. Tbh its hard to tell from pics.. It cud just b a deficiency.. U'll know 4 sure if it's rot if u gentle pull open the flower to look inside at branch.. If ts got fluffy spores anywer(u'll know its not right) then chop off any effected buds straight away but careful as not to disturbing the soores and letting spread even more.. Turn off any oscillating fans as u remove damaged (if they are) buds.. Wen finished b sure to keep ur outtake fans on constantly wen in flowering and aslo keep any oscillating /clip fans on 24/7..as a secondary back up, buy the cheap dehumidifier sachets from ur hardware store or online.. They will help keep moisture down.. Ur grow conditions show 35% humidity atm so i doubt it is but if ur fan is off at nite then a small possibility.. Stay safe n hope they turn out well 4 u.. 👍🍀
Yesterday I realized that I got some top sugar leaves with white stains. I think It cannot be light stress because I put her at a distance of 3 feet from the lamp and today she has more stains. What do you think? Thanks mates 🙇♀️🏻
Soo, we are almost there! The plant is not drinking that much, now she has started to smell better. Some of the trichomes are starting to look cloudy and a looot of pistils are brown/orange. I am not feeding here anymore, just as much light as possible and all the love <3
Day 61 - CRISIS. I discover what it seems to be bud rot in the top of one cola. I chop the branch and post a question here on GD, the rest of the plant seems ok except form some white stains on some top sugar leaves (!?) When I talk about white stains, it is not mold, is the leaf itself becoming white :O

Sooo I had to start harvesting a little bit earlier than planned because a top bud was starting to look rotten :____(
From that day on (more than one week ago) I did not see appear anything like that so I am happy on that point.
The thing is that now I keep seeing more and more leaves bitten by what it seems to be aphids (or something like that).
So, keeping the battle till the last moment, I have harvested the top buds and now I onlyhave a bunch a of popcorns waiting for the last moment.
What do you think about this first grow? Let me know your advice for the next one please, thanks!!!
