After over a month long wait from the ever trusted Seedsman.com I receive my order. With my setup ready to go for nearly a month I have had only time to research the best way to grow. This will be my first attempt to grow besides a misguided attempt in 8th grade that resulted a 4’ high hermaphrodite .
I have read online about an experience growers attempting to grow more than one strain at a time and a small space due to the fact that each strain is very different and they do need different things as well as different treatments for nutrients, but I am optimistic I’m going to implore low stress training in high stress training as well as the ScrOG .
I’m just going to try to achieve even height in the plants and an even canopy, I will pay attention and harvest them as they need to be.
I will have a second space to slowly dry my buds since the tent might still be needed for flowering time.
But its only the 1st day of germination, I will document everything is accurately as possible and any help or opinions would be greatly appreciated thank you for taking the time.
More pictures to come to fill out the weeks as they happen, will update every 3 to 4 days
Nothing to see here Folks!
If your happening to tune into this dairy it was nine days ago that I began to germinate four seeds, 1 Bruce Banger Fast, 1 Gelat OG , and 2 Blueberry.
Monday morning they had all cracked and we’re looking swell so I place them in the dirt, about an inch deep. this is my first grow in many years and I expected them to be growing a little faster, but Patience really is key, I can barely see the seeds coming up but all four are continuing to grow. And I’m going to continue to fill out the diary week by week next diary I will probably start once my seeds have sprouted and I’m using a regular light cycle, but this is going to be a fully documented grow. Will update in 7 days. Peace and happy growin’.
Just starting 2nd Day of the 3rd week since germination.
My young Gelato is doing much better. Will update pics and details throughout the week.
Still in the pregame here...
Update 5/16- I got confused on how old they are but we are going into the 7th day from breaking soil.
Going to wait until Sunday evening and then feed first round of Nutrients.
Cal-Mag-2ml
Flora Micro 1ml
Flora Grow 1ml
Flora Bloom .5ml all per gallon measurements.
This is actually the first time Im growing with any knowledge, using decent equipment and supplementing Nutrients.
5/27 Update, waiting on a Mars Hydro SP 250 and probably should have used different soil the plants are growing a little smaller for how old they are. But they are alive and healthy. Today is the last day of week 4 since Germination. Also Started Nutrients feeding twice then watering with plain water. Ph in the mid 6 range.
5/21/19 this is officially the first day of week four since germination, everyone has advised me to hold off on nutrients and continue using the 72 W lightbulb that I’ve been using since germination for seedlings, it’s actually a pretty decent light I haven’t tested it with many plants but I had it about 6 inches away from these and it burned the tips of one leaf, and the light is not warm or hot. Anyways I put my 500 W LED light on there starting last night and the plants immediately reacted I can instantly see a change of growth rate, I’m going to let them get just a little bit bigger and then turn on the light to full spectrum and then start combating the temperatures that are already rising in the tent, keeping the humidity as close as I can to around 60 to 65 until vegetation is over, I plan on mainlining two of these plants and then low stress training and allowing to grow free the other two plants Scroge net on all, this is my first grown we’re going to see how it’s going thank God above and the ganja gods that I have healthy ladies so far,If you look back through my diary I have basically a fully documented grow I’m trying to update every couple days.
Thanks guys and happy Healthy long term growing!!!!
UPDATE:6/3/2020
We’re in the third day of the fourth week of veg, plants are looking good getting ready to report the rest when the new light gets here later today, will update new pictures of that as well to finish out the fourth week in the diary, looking forward to new pictures next week of the plants in their new homes with a new light looking forward to an explosion of growth and going to begin low stress training on all plants besides blueberry number two, I’m going to mainline that plant.
UPDATE 5/31/20 went ahead and started LST today, still have to wait until Wednesday for my Mars Hydro SP250 to show up. Should be ok for this size tent(4x2). ⛺️
The girl is already responding with accelerated lower growth, and its only been a few hours. Ramped up the nutrient feeding and am about as soon as I have the new light I will transplant the other 3 plants. Should be ok until then. Keep an eye out!
5/30/20 Beginning of week 5 since Germination began.
Transferred Blueberry #1 into a 5Gal today with Coco/Perlite mix, (that i should have began with), sprinkled Great white mycorrhiza all over the root ball before dropping in then lightly watered it. She seems to not even notice she was moved :]. Loving her new
home!
Going into the 3rd day of the 5th week since the seeds broke the soil surface. As you can see Im a Noob. Idk what the fuck Im doing but sometimes you just gotta say “ what the fuck”, and go for it. Blueberry #1 continues to be the strong child in the group, although they are all pretty small for over a month old. Going to use coco next run and going to really focus on water PH. I haven’t really gave a shit and sometimes I give them water from the water bottle that’s around probably 7PH, I didn’t think it was anything too drastic but you never know what affects these things, also had some strange I’m guessing deficiencies from the Bruce Banner, someone advised me to feed it straight water but I had been feeding it straight water so I switch to upping the nutrients a bit and it’s starting to get his color back. We’re going to wait over the next few weeks and see just exactly where this goes not sure when I’m gonna flip everything in the flower everything is way too small right now
6/19/20 UPDATE watered with plain water PH at 6.7
6/17/2020 OK so we are officially halfway through the sixth week of vegetation,(it says seven weeks because I started this when I started germinating ) again this is my first grow I’m pretty sure these guys should be much larger at this point in time we all live and learn.
It was about a week ago that I chop the top of the gelato plant, if you go back in the diary you can see where that gelato plant came from and it’s come a long way, At this point the offshoots are thicker and over growing blueberry number one which was the champion grower of this entire show, the Bruce Banner is hanging in there finally starting to pick up a little bit of speed leaves are still in a funky way and I’m not really sure about that, blueberry number two I filmed about two weeks ago and it has not done much it’s moving as slow as a sloth, but nevertheless she will remain just to see what she does, at this point I am no farther than three weeks away from the flip, I am debating if I should go ahead and chop the top of blueberry number one, I was growing them in different ways so I could personally see at the end what the difference was with the bud and what I would probably personally rather have, but I fear when I send it in the flower and start stretching it’s going to weigh over grow the gelato and I won’t be able to keep light evenly on the plants. So at this point will see what will happen
6/27/2020 Update,Added a second 6 inch fan into the tent, also added to the line of nutrients feeding “Bud Candy” and “Terpinator”.
The girls are drinking excessive amounts now, 1/3 a gallon a day per plant, today is official 49th day of vegetation.
Approximately one more week until the flip, my plants started a little bit slow the first week or two I’m about a week or two behind.
6/21/20 This Is the official start Of the seventh week of vegetation, the plants started out pretty slow all of them but at this point they’ve got about two more weeks of growing and once I’m happy with the even canopy I’m going to send it in the flower my gelato is obviously much shorter than the blueberry but looking very healthy we will see if we will get some good buds from this, allowing the time for the vegetation to get large because I’m looking for a large yield.
I am anticipating these plants to be ready for flower within about two weeks I won’t be cutting any more leaves off, only remove the very large fan leaves and smaller leaves pointing in the words of the plants covering up would be tops. So I’m going to leave it just like it is continue feeding with what I have for one more week, and then I’m going to switch to less grow and more bloom in the feeding, it should be exactly about two weeks away from the flip.
7/4/2020 Happy Independence Day.
Removed all auxiliary bud sites still to focus on top buds only.
We have 4 more days until we will flip to flower. I made a pre determined decision of 60 days minimum for Vegetation.
7/1/2020 Update: Watch some good videos from Kyle Cushman, working really hard on trying to create an even canopy keeping all of the individual tops in their own space for proper light, excited for Sunday I’m going to start the 1212 cycle, and we’re going for all top colas on these plans. Hoping for some good looking ladies.
6/28/2020 Vegetation day 50. Going to flip to flower at day 61. Hopefully the canopy is where I want it to be at that time, also probably going to attempt some high stress training on some of the lower branches, eager to see what it’s going to be.
7/8/2020 Update : Only one day on the flowering cycle and already pistels popping from the nodes on All 3 plants. The canopy for the Gelat and the blueberry Are very even with exception of a few branches here in there, Bruce banger has a damage stem, also is a few inches shorter but it is sativa dominant, and I am expecting it to catch up in height with the other two.
7/7/2020 Update :First day of starting 12/12 cycle.
7/6/2020 Update : 2 days to the flip.
Been working hard on removing Aux bud sites.
Wanting to focus the flowers on the Top Buds only. Going for 12” colas.
NO LARF!
7/12/2020 . We have 5 days of the flower cycle down. The plant is responding very well. The canopy on the plants are evening out nicer than I could expect. Gelato cut at 4th node, blueberry at 7th node and bruce at 6th node.
This is the 10th week of growth from soil break. My diary Includes the first week Of receiving seeds and germination. This will be a fully documented Diary.
Also my first ever grow.
Invested much time in getting a set up that was right for me.
Please drop a like 👍if you dig my garden.
Plants are doing fantastic, the Bruce Banner of course being the sativa dominant in the group is continuing to stretch during its flowering, as well by the look of the bud sites it looks like it’s going to be a decent yielder despite this being my first grow and not as properly cropping her the way I wanted. The smell is not as strong as it was a few weeks ago, as to be expected it will get strong again, struggling to keep the light a safe distance away from the plant, I don’t want to turn the amperage down because my other plants need the light as well. Going to continue updating it’s going to be a slow waiting month, and then about the first week of September we should be golden
August 2nd, 2020. The plants are thriving and doing very well for my first grow in my opinion anyways.
There are positives and negatives to growing in a desert environment, the extreme positive for growing in Las Vegas is that there is supply shops readily available around every corner for anything you might need, any specific brand of item. I did get a little bit slack on some of the watering trying to do a proper dry wet technique for the roots, my gelato G plant needed more water than the other plants and some of the leaves Turn yellow from chlorosis .
So I removed some more of the lower leaves on all of the plants, keeping a sharper I on the watering, trying to keep the humidity as low as possible without adding a dehumidifier it’s pretty easy in this environment, the blueberry plant is starting to smell so sweet, I’m extremely excited to try that. Not much smell coming off of the other ones but they are all looking so beautiful.
Not too many comments to add here, we’re just waiting to see it stacking, tips of the leaves are burning from the light being too intense, with four weeks left in the grow cycle all together I’m not going to turn it down I’m going to allow her to finish out trying to Dense up the buds. We will see where it ends shortly.
About 4 weeks left till the chop. 2.5 weeks left till the Flush out. Fingers crossed
8/16/2020
Not too many changes, starting to lower the amount of nutrients and just adding bloom, just watching the birds fattening up getting ready to do a flush in about 2 1/2 weeks, hopefully end up with some good quality flavorful bud
Update 8/27/2020 I added 5 ml of Cal-Mag to my standard 3 gallon feeding today just to fill that little spot where they lack. I do plan to flush for at least 9 days. And I have about 13-18 days left all together. Probably the longest for the Bruce of course being the Sativa. But it is the “Fast Flower” version. We will see.
August 24th 2020.
Not many changes here since the last update a week ago, just waiting very patiently for the buds to fatten up in their last few weeks, I am assuming I have around two weeks left, it’s about 15 more days until I hit the 60 day mark of flowering in which all of the strains will be close to being ready anyways, I’m going to cut them all down around 63 to 65 days a flowering and dry and cure them all in the same pattern, this has been my first grow ever and it has been a lot of fun, but truly you need the space, and you definitely need the extra time to deal with the plants,One of the most challenging things I have is trying to access different parts of the plants from the front of my 4 x 2 tent when the scribe and it is already implemented, it does make things difficult to even be able to see certain spots of the plant, but either way I’ve had a lot of fun I’m looking forward to seeing how much we net from the harvest, two weeks left guys we are almost there
Ok, so people debate defoliation. They say not to do it before harvest. Well Im 14 days until the cut down and I say fuck it. It is not going to stunt the plant. I will give it water only from here on to flush it and it will help with the flush. I will see how much bigger the buds will get in that time. If they stay the same size i fucked up. It they still get bigger than it was a good idea.
September 9 2020
Wasn’t able to update in the past couple of days, but this is going to be the last week of growing, the Bruce banger is at full maturity, every Tricom on that plant is a thick milky white with zero amber, the blueberry has a healthy amount of cloudy try combs about 10 to 20% still clear, and the gelato I would assume would actually have a bout 2 full weeks left to grow, it’s about 70% clear 30% cloudy but with a few amber here and there, strange plant. But regardless I’m flushing everything simultaneously and I’m going to cut and hang everything simultaneously, because I do only have one grow tent and my most valued plants here are the blueberry and the Bruce, so the gelato will just have to deal with it. I cut one branch off of the Bruce and trimmed it up wet weighed 40 g currently water curing, trimmed two branches off of the blueberry which equals 45 g, and trimmed three branches off of gelato for water curing equaling 70 g, going to water cure a few ounces, It’s a newer method but seems very interesting, and then I’m going to give it three days of darkness starting tonight, and I will cut and hang them to dry starting Saturday keeping the humidity at around 50%, and then we will bottle them and start curing.
Five months later I have a half a pound all together, the Bruce Banner was a fantastic plant, when it first started out I was very unsure if it was even going to survive, again this was my first bro and I’m a big novice and wasn’t using very proper soil to begin with, if you go back in the diary you can look and see I actually stated that I was not sure if it was going to make it, but once the routes to cold after about 5 to 6 weeks of growing it really took off and showed its dominance after that, very good resilience to any disease although I kept my environment very sterile,Be prepared this plant will triple in size from the time that you flip the light for flour, the buds are very much spaced apart but very dense heavy and sticky, with a very pungent stinky Skunky smell. Fantastic and I highly recommend that you try
This is the one that I was excited for from the very beginning, it grew almost completely on its own, I could never tell if it ever had a deficiency in any of the nutrients I was using, it just looked fantastic from day one all the way to day of harvest. Although when I did start this out I had one more blueberry that did not make it, so you never really know. I’m a novice anyways and everything is a learning experience, getting ready to start the next grow
As well I think this strain could’ve had about two more weeks of growing, I did grow everything all together and the pride and joy was the blueberry of the bunch so I harvested everything based on how that plant was doing truly, and it was the most mature plant from the get-go and therefore was ready to go before anything else really. But the gelato is a great strain unique hi I’m going to have to wait to see if the curing will help bring out some more of the smells in flavors, but it is a decent high, just a bit speedy for an Indica as it was harvested a bit early.
