(4/14) Started the grow by leaving the seeds in a glass of lukewarm water for a day. Afterward planted the seed in an old pellet I saved from one of those germination kits you could get at home depot however I decided to move the seed to one of these peat pellets you see here and tried to keep it outside with the high humidity before I got my grow tent set up. (4/18) Got the tent, the humidity seems too high as of right now being in the 80's so looking forward to buying another fan to improve circulation. I also noticed the roots coming out of the mesh of the pellet and am looking forward to transplanting the seedling in the next day or two. I still need to acquire better nutes and pH Up/Down for soil maintenance.

What do you guys recommend as far as lighting for this tent? I have a 300w led light but at the height it's currently at it is producing a large amount of heat with my exhaust and two oscillating fans? I also have other plants in with my seedling so could the humidity cause it?

I ended up finding a way to lift my grow light higher and my temp dropped a degree around 77F, now I'm more worried when the plant grows larger and humidity gets more involved. Would it be wise into thinking about purchasing a dehumidifier possibly?

(4/26) Alright, so I was excited to make this post just cause of the speed of the growth and how fast this plant gets going. Excuse the plants along the background as they are also apart of my experiment with this tent for a little bit. Just understand that they had a rough time with me figuring our the perfect feeding and types of fertilizer to better suit them so that's why you can see some chlorosis on some of the leaves but they are recovering! The plant has given me no problem at all and it has been smooth. As for temps, I'm just putting an average of what I see through the week. I lifted my LED light a couple of days ago to reduce the amount of heat generated and my temps dropped a degree or two from the previous 80, 81. When this plant gets ready to transplant I'll move some of these plants out to give her some room later on. She is also about to have four nodes! No nutrients yet but I know that this week is the week I may get signs possibly so I should be getting Dyna-grow liquid fertilizer by this Friday. pH is still at 7 thank god, and I am also interested in trying a folier liquid seaweed spray soon. Let me know what you think!

We are at the end of week 3 and so far I haven't given her any nutes due to the fact that the soil I originally had put her in contains slow-release pellets and as you can see, she did get slight nutrient burn but it passed a couple days ago. I ordered some fox farm ocean forest soil and will transplant her as soon as I get that soil to a bigger pot and probably am gonna take all the other plants out of the grow tent as I have been dealing with some pests but nothing that has damaged them from what I have been observing. I also got my pH tester and Dynagrow liquid fertilizers so we will start some LST this week and I'm gonna top and clone her some time next week when I see she has gotten taller. If anyone else has any suggestions as to when it would be better to clone her I'm all ears but that's what our objectives are so far.

This week was the week to transplant. I saw the roots in the bottom holes I made for the solo cup and decided to go to home depot and buy an organic soil instead of waiting on the fox farm soil I had ordered a week prior. I fed her in the middle of week 4 with only 1/2 the dosage instructions just in case but I began to notice the top of the plant getting lighter than usual so today I went up to the full amount and hopefully we will see some improvement. Soil pH of the new container is at a steady 7.1 and haven't had any pest issues since I got rid of them from the tent. Next week I'll see if she is healthy/ taller enough to top and clone, or at least that's the plan anyway.

More plant growth this week than most of the other weeks. The day I was supposed to post this was the day I decided to top the plant and from there make the attempt to clone that piece that I cut. The cutting is being placed under a plastic dome and I am checking the humidity to ensure that it's in that 75 range and the temperature doesn't drop too quickly.

This week got hectic with responsibilities so I didn't pay as much attention as I normally have been clearly being that I posted this on a Tuesday and not a Sunday. The plant is looking great! I am gonna water when the lights go on again with the liquid fertilizer and I might even prune her a bit at the bottom.

This week I got lazy with documenting so this post is being made actually on week 8 on a Thursday. I topped two parts of my plant and am giving it another week to get ready for flower. Before doing that though I'm debating if I should make more clones out of this plant. The previous clone, although it looked kinda rough, made it, and hopefully the next ones if there are next ones will develop a little better. I also forgot to mention that my cucumber in my tent is fighting a spider mite infestation and since I neglected the prevention of pests, they spread throughout it so I'm cleaning that plant so they don't end up hopping on the girl.

Alright, so this week was a pretty hectic week having to control the mite infestation of my cucumber. I have been watching the plants closely however I believe the plant does have a pest, and I'm not sure what it is but since I had the red mite infestation, I have been watching them like a hawk the past couple days. I have been treating them with a combination of neem oil an a homemade solution consisting of water, soap, and oil to suffocate the mites if they are to present themselves, otherwise, the grow has been going great and I am starting to handle the gnats with a small cup of apple cider vinegar and a sprinkle of cinnamon on the topsoil to see if that will have any effect. I positioned the fans so there is a slight breeze in the tent but I think i am going to have to tweak it to ensure that not only the soil gets dryer a little faster but also to disturb the mating of the pests. Maybe soon if they are still prevalent ill buy those sticky strips that are yellow to trap the adults flying around from time to time but ever since I put the cinnamon I haven't seen them go crazy. Since its nearing the height I want to flower, I fed the plant half the solution of both the grow and bloom formulas for the transition although this situation makes me nervous to flower as I feel I should wait to have them under control. I also noticed the TDS of my watering dropping dramatically to 185 so not sure what's up with that. I'll continue fighting this battle and ensuring the end goal is met. Any recommendations are very appreciated. Also gonna put the photos of the mites on my cucumber as a reference for other growers out there to keep an eye out for these devastating little guys if left alone to decimate your grow. Don't worry about the cucumber though she seems to be hanging in there. On a final note, I did some more LST this week and the plant is flattening out nicely. New height with training: 6.5 inches | Height for flower: 8 inches

Noticed this on one of my leaves, I already had to deal with the mite situation with my cucumber. Are they the cause of this? or another pest possibly? What methods other then neem oil and my homemade spray can help me fend them off even more?

Pink hymalian Salt dissolved in water with some neem oil and organic soap is a good one to spray. Or you can just wipe the soap onto the leaves also. I think there's a product called cannacure or something that might be good to check out. Also predator insects like the ladybug family. 👍🌱Hope you get it sorted.

It is about time to flower this following week! The plant reached past my 8-inch goal to start the other day and this post is coming on a Tuesday instead of a Sunday reason being that I did have Fungus gnats flying around and I wanted my soil to dry up so they wouldn't reproduce. After the past week's pest issues, the problematic buggers seem to have dissipated in numbers including the spider mites thus eliminating that part of things I needed to take care of and now we can focus on ensuring our flowering phase runs smoothly. The only concern I have is with my nutrients. I am giving he recommended amounts for the plants but it seems that my TDS levels from the runoff are very low from the desired amounts that I am finding online. The goal was to be in the 800s-1000s range and I am very below that so I will gradually increase the amount as time goes on. Some of the pictures you can see are showing signs of deficiencies so we will see how the increased dosage will affect her in the future. The first clone we attempted didn't make it so we took another cutting prior to flipping the switch and we will see how that one will turn out!

6/22 The week went fine, the plant is experiencing the bloom "stretch" and she's growing way faster than before. I did not feed on Sunday but will tomorrow. Still trying to get the nutrients up to ensure growth for flowering. I will update more tomorrow.

Sorry about the lighting in the tent but I didn't want to move her when the leaves were already weaved around the trellis but lets just say that I'm just lazy. The ppm's are steadily increasing and I'm making sure that um watching her for any signs of issues. I made another apple cider vinegar trap for the gnats as they seemed to come back. Plants have been pretty happy. Looking forward to the next two weeks.

This week continues to show promise and no signs of nutrient issues as of yet although I did notice some of the pistils start to change color and get slightly thinner. Not sure if this is a sign that they aren't getting enough nutrients or what but I continue to watch them in particular as well as the leaves throughout the plant for signs of pests and such. Still dealing with the gnats but they don't seem to be causing much of an issue.

This week was alright but I am noticing a difference in growth. So far I have flushed the plant once to minimize nutrient burn so I am not sure if my plant is bouncing back from the medium being overwatered or what. I've notice increase in trichome production but the feeling of sticky resin that I felt more prominently from the last week is lessening and I believe the cause is the increase in temperature of the grow tent which now has been in the low eighties for some reason. I'm using a passive intake system right now so there is no inline fan and the exhaust fan I have is only 130 cfm. With the measurements, I've done for the tent, I am short from the 160 cfm I calculated for the ideal air circulation for my setup. All we can do is see how she does at this point.

This week was key in identifying as to why my growth has slowed down so much. I already knew that the temperature of the tent would affect the growth and with the nutrients still being pretty high, I don't see why it's the way it is other than that being the culprit. The scent is still very weak at the moment too so those trichomes were just getting boiled. In comparison to the rest of the grow, the temps rose at the wrong time smh. It's alright though because as I am posting this, I bought a more powerful oscillating fan and it's giving me night temps of around 73 and should give me around 76 day so we will see how she looks on Sunday.

This week I began to use Fox farm nutrients instead of the previous nutrients I have been using. The plant is starting to show some growth now that I managed to lower the temperatures slightly and I just got a new exhaust so pretty excited to give the plant the best final weeks of its life. Not much to say other then fingers crossed these next few weeks.
