Alright, so this week was a pretty hectic week having to control the mite infestation of my cucumber. I have been watching the plants closely however I believe the plant does have a pest, and I'm not sure what it is but since I had the red mite infestation, I have been watching them like a hawk the past couple days. I have been treating them with a combination of neem oil an a homemade solution consisting of water, soap, and oil to suffocate the mites if they are to present themselves, otherwise, the grow has been going great and I am starting to handle the gnats with a small cup of apple cider vinegar and a sprinkle of cinnamon on the topsoil to see if that will have any effect. I positioned the fans so there is a slight breeze in the tent but I think i am going to have to tweak it to ensure that not only the soil gets dryer a little faster but also to disturb the mating of the pests. Maybe soon if they are still prevalent ill buy those sticky strips that are yellow to trap the adults flying around from time to time but ever since I put the cinnamon I haven't seen them go crazy. Since its nearing the height I want to flower, I fed the plant half the solution of both the grow and bloom formulas for the transition although this situation makes me nervous to flower as I feel I should wait to have them under control. I also noticed the TDS of my watering dropping dramatically to 185 so not sure what's up with that. I'll continue fighting this battle and ensuring the end goal is met. Any recommendations are very appreciated. Also gonna put the photos of the mites on my cucumber as a reference for other growers out there to keep an eye out for these devastating little guys if left alone to decimate your grow. Don't worry about the cucumber though she seems to be hanging in there. On a final note, I did some more LST this week and the plant is flattening out nicely. New height with training: 6.5 inches | Height for flower: 8 inches

Grow Questions

What do you guys recommend as far as lighting for this tent? I have a 300w led light but at the height it's currently at it is producing a large amount of heat with my exhaust and two oscillating fans? I also have other plants in with my seedling so could the humidity cause it?

I ended up finding a way to lift my grow light higher and my temp dropped a degree around 77F, now I'm more worried when the plant grows larger and humidity gets more involved. Would it be wise into thinking about purchasing a dehumidifier possibly?

Noticed this on one of my leaves, I already had to deal with the mite situation with my cucumber. Are they the cause of this? or another pest possibly? What methods other then neem oil and my homemade spray can help me fend them off even more?

Pink hymalian Salt dissolved in water with some neem oil and organic soap is a good one to spray. Or you can just wipe the soap onto the leaves also. I think there's a product called cannacure or something that might be good to check out. Also predator insects like the ladybug family. 👍🌱Hope you get it sorted.
