So another week down, and it was quite an exciting one!
Happy 420 Everyone!
So I started some LST this week, I was tying the branches to clips and clipping them to the sides of the pot. This was very tedious, after looking through this website I found an easier way with a piece of metal wire, just stake it down. My first time doing LST and it seems to be going very well so far!
Canapoies are all coming in pretty even! I will continue to do LST and do some trimming this week. Baby girls are starting to fill in!
Also in other exciting news!
Starting back up growing has gotten me all into it. I bought another tent, and was able to find some seeds from Humboldt Seed Company at a local dispensary on 4/20 started germinating them. Keep an eye out for another grow!!
Stay growing my friends!
I have limited space working with these plants, I know that blue dream likes to stretch. Working with a 2x4’ tent with a headspace of about 4’. Any advice on growing techniques to keep these in control while getting max potential volume?
Tie downs are the best option in small spaces keeps the plant stems nice a low and in your control as you can tie more and bend them away as time goes on giving you more light access too! Plus a good Defoliate will help you! Aim at the lower small stems and all fan leaves! Don’t worry as I used to as in 2 days it’s a heavy little bush your be impressed just got to risk it! 😉 check out fast but furious diary FFT8 You can see how I’m tying down it’s quite beautiful tbh
Right now I have a Mars Hydro Reflector 144 with an actual power draw of 260 watts and a King Plus 1000 with actual draw of 180 watts. I have a extras of both lights, will doubling the amount of light be too much in veg or flower? This is for a 2x4 tent.
Thanks!
I will try to explain this. You can run multiple Led no problem but Par and ppfd come into play. We managed to cram over 750 watts of led lights into our Cave but the light "foot print was a huge factor". We also paid close attention to Umols/par, lights heights and a few other factors. You can not run 2 high powered led together if the par exceeds 1000 it will burn your plants without Co2. You can use other leds if the ppfd doesn't exceed a certain value. The higher par values require supplemental Co2 to really benefit from the Extra light. It's a bit complicated but a good baseline is somewhere around a par of 950 to provide maximum yield outputs without requiring CO2 to benefit from the added light and prevent plant damage. Here's a Video to help explain Cannabis and how much light it can actually use. It's long but informative.

Hi @Bills138sbl For the vegetative it is enough to use the led hydro mars, in the vegetative growth the plants do not need a great intensity of light. During flowering you can turn on the 2 lights but pay attention to the temperatures, you must have a good air extraction. good luck mate 👍
Hi dude ! if i remember well your mars hydro led is build with reflector with hybrid angle...i mean a part of the light goes to 120° and the other 90°....so be careful to you plant colors diodes (410 nm; 450 nm; 660 nm 730 nm) can easily burn and ruins a part of your final crop...
considering that ur mars hydro normally is dedicated for a 2.5 x 4.5 tent you have to be careful with that....
it would be better to raise your lamps and if you absolutely want to keep the two.... play with ur veg mod switch to reduce the power a bit. and after that same for flow
keep in mind buddy that "...Burning from LED grow lights is much more likely to occur in the second half of the flowering stage – younger plants are much more resistant and may not show any symptoms..."

hope this help ! happy growing 👊
So I have a T5 light, and I’ve used it to veg quite a bit, and it does really well. My question is, should I use the T5 in just the seedling phase, then use LED for veg and flower? Or will the T5 give me good results throughout the veg cycle?
The T5 is the old school veg lights so you can go with it as long as your spectrum is a veg one.
Today leds are far better than T5 , however If you have a dedicated veg space for cloning and veg you can use the T5 for that purpose and have great results
Alright so my roommate dropped a bomb on me that he’s moving out when our lease is up next month, so I’ll be moving into a new place in the next few weeks. The question is, should I leave the scrog in until I move? Or take it out and try to LST them?
Thanks!
It could be would be virtually impossible to move plants after they have been scrogged without the coordination of a team of lifters.. One reason I am not running a scrog right now is just the lack of flexibility is kind of pain.. You commit to the plan of scrogg.. you can't really move them until harvest..
Hi there - I see you are putting 15ML per gallon of Flora Bloom .... when the max on that product is 8ML per gallon (Twice as much) .... I am using it and can't seem to get much out of it, but I'm not doubling the MFG recommendations.
Are you finding that?
I grew BD from Dark Hart as well by the way.
