Northern Lights Auto - Seedsman

Good day folks ! Popped two seeds (Northern Lights Auto and Girl Scout Cookies) , due to an accident (FML) the GSC was destroyed two weeks in its life, so it was replaced in a rush by Gelato which still finished a lot early btw... off the bat, northern lights popped 3 leaves which was very surprising and immediately did what any intelligent being would do, turn to internet 😄... read all sorts of shit as you can imagine. Lets see ... - 7 gal fabric pot - 130 Watt LED (for time being) - Canna Nutrients. 2 ml cal mag / Ltr water used to make the substrate wet for 24 hours before dropping the seed in. * 14 Nov 2019 - seedling hatched Giving plain tap water (0.2 EC), PH to 5.8 for the first week.

First dosage of nutrients started this week.

I was beginning to question my decision whether to leave her be or pop a new seed. New leaves are crispy and I'm afraid to even touch em. Nothing about it is normal, its tiny, I decided to just look after her and see what happens, as it will be an experience none the less.

so a tiny touch improvement after I added a bit more cannazym, it still looks shady af... when I saw signs of improvement, I attempted on LST ... came few hours later and it were layin on the ground like a drugger, I had to put supports all round, everywhere to keep her up. I was not expecting her to live tbh.

a very promising week for northern lights, she had made major improvements. It bounced back and once again I attempted on LST and this time with success, since it was a genetically disordered (I don't know what else to call it) plant, it topped itself into three main branches. Its a bushy one !

exploding in growth now but looks weird. Its just everywhere... even though it looks ridiculous, I carried on with LST. Struggling a little with the temperatures and humidity but thats what you get for being a brit 😇

She is looking okay now. LST still going strong. she responds well to cannazym, I have noticed since I started using it, the crispiness went away gradually. Now the new leaves are somewhat crispy, but they quickly come to normal. She is very bushy and has very short inter nodal distance.

She looks perfect. Not much to report, she is doing her thing now without any problems. Humidity is going to be a problem already working on that.

This was steady week, nothing much happened. They are just getting fed every 2 - 3 days put Scrog in. NL is looking very healthy compared to its fucked up beginnings 😄.

Steady week, she is shooting out loads of growth. still no sign of flower lowered Rhyzotonic from feeding. This week a new Cob light was put in (120W actual). For an autoflower its taking pretty long but it does its own thing

steady week, still a bit of struggle with humidity and temps. Space will be an issue, NL could do with some space... Never really had flushed them until last week, so that supposedly did some good.

busy week, she is changing to flower. I gave her her first haircut and by the time I was finished I was afraid I might have pushed it too far... but she bounced back as always in a day or two and started to stretch. Hoping for Gelato to finish so she can use the space.

urrrrrm... the defoliation was double in 3 days !! so I gave her another haircut, and she was doubled up in 2 days again... she is something. Height is increasing, and loads of new growth. I have seen some grows, esp northern lights, which spent awful lot of time in veg and then died half way through flowering, I hope its not the case here... although at this point, I could care less about outcome. I'll be happy with the Gelato only 😎

She is focusing on stretching and flower production is rather slow, but consistent throughout. She requires a lot of defoliation. Every 2 days, and I don't flaff about with defoliation either, I take loads off but its full again in 2 days and plant has now completely over grown the Gelato and is taking over the entire space. Looking back at it, I think it took so long in veg was because it was developing huge root mass underneath ?? (time will tell) She looks vibrant and thriving, more so in person. steady week over all.

I think the stretch is nearing its end or has. started more cannaboost. Being auto flower. I didn't want it to complete its life cycle mid way flowering, so figured I would start giving it PK13/14 at 0.5 ml/l to maybe nudge the flowering a bit? I dont know what I was doing lol 😄 Slightly lowered the lights too.

She liked the idea of PK 13/14, soon as I started it, flowers are juicing up now. I am also going to up the PK 13/14 by 0.5 mil/l. Its not very reachable in the back and I noticed that back branches are mushing up, Northern Lights is supposed to do good against mold or is it me talkin out of my arse again 😄 I don't really know... Im hoping for the Gelato to be finished so she can have the entire space,. I will leave her be for now until then. Feeding every 24 hours, she drinks a lot now. I am not supposed to keep defoliating but, its just not possible, and gets too bushy. She don't seem to mind it at all.

Gelato was chopped and placed to dry (45 grams), and @Northern Lights has the space to herself... Scrog net had to go, Immediately did some ninja adjustments and opened her up for better air flow. In a day, she is growing massive. There are some fucked up branches that didn't get a fair go at life until now, hopefully she will shake it off she always has. I have stopped defoliation, as she has lots of room now and light can penetrate right to the bottom.

a week or so and you could never tell there were two plants in the tent ! she has taken over the entire space now. Increased all the good stuff up a notch because she has never got any burnt tips or anything, she just drinks and drinks. Every 24 hours, 4 litres of nute water (with about 400ml runoff). I mean I never thought a plant would drink that much ??? I am questioning the feeding method, this is very binding... an irrigation system perhaps? Meanwhile off she goes, no fucks given

I thought this space would be decent but I was wrong. I really don't want to lose all of it to mold or some shit. a new light is on the way, and bigger space is almost ready. I'll move her there soon probably next week. sweet smell.

Okay moved her to new grow room, its not very neat at the moment, but I didn't want to keep her in tent anymore. Whilst moving her, one branch snapped off with its own weight, oh well.... I couldn't be happier at the timing, I noticed some buds starting to turn brown or were just giving that off smell on that one branch that used to be mushed up in the tent, I just cut the branch altogether. Removed bunch of other dead foliage and a very light hair cut. tied the branches with supports I'm confident they won't go anywhere now. Humidity is much under control compared to the beginning. staying 50%, I could lower it a bit more, but air flow is spot on, IT has like 4 fans on and around it. x2 oscillating.

She is loving the new Quantum board lights (MarsHydro). Feeding her twice in 24 hours now, about 7 - 7.5 liters a day. Relatively weaker branches are stiffing now and buds are getting big.

This is nuts lol 😆 I may have fast forwarded through the pictures, apologies, they are loads and more difficult to work through. Consider a week and a half missing from flowering so far. She is not close to finishing yet as far as I can tell. As new white hair are growing, very obviously. the orange hair is quiet a few but they were kind of there all along. Smell is sweet fruity but not as powerful yet. Buds are sticky and solid, Every cola is sticky, solid and huge and still growing.

she is packing weight and looks as if she is wanting to finish soon. I have taken down A + B by 1 ml, and stopped PK 13/14 altogether. I took a small flower off to test it, at the moment its drying and smells of grass... will update as we go. I'm thinking another 2 weeks before shes done?

She is doing okay, looks like majority of swell is complete , except for few buds which are still swelling... Checked the substrate ph and it was around 6.7 - 6.9 range, I dropped ph for solution to 5.6 to equalize everything. Noticed a bit of light stress, so moved it up a bit, don't know how I fucked that one up, instructions couldn't be clearer... Had to tie a few more branches for support and other nitty gritty Triches report:- Could not take a proper picture so words will have to do 😌 Unlike the Gelato, she is getting frosty at end and the frost is very subtle (hoping to see clearer pics in coming days), very few amber, 70% cloudy, about 20 -25% are clear ... It is confusing still because some branches look ready as shit, and trichome color looks by the book but the some other colas are still forming clearly. I can notice a drastic increase of orange pistils everywhere all of sudden, I thought it had orange hair from beginning, but its far more convincing now. I would appreciate any advice or tips, for now I will feed her very low nutes and then a flush in next week...

she is mostly ready, mostly all the trichomes are 90% milky but some nugs still have slightly lower percentage. 3 - 4 days, only cannazym and Boost then the plain water flush was started and is on going. Color is fading slowly. I have cut few branches off which seemed ready, they're hung to dry. Earthy gassy and sweet sort of smell it has. I will be chopping her down this week end, some would say probably it could have done with a week or two more but seriously, I have been waiting for this bitch for over a half year, FUCK IT. Besides, I have ran out of the Gelato so ... Cyall on harvest results with dry weight and what not.

It took abnormally long for her to wrap it up. Idea was to gain experience regardless of outcome. I am happy with both... Overall bud structure is different to most I have seen, they are not very dense, they are elongated-ish. * 260 grams Dried weight. (the wet Weight I have just wrote it down because OCD, I never took readings after the chop but waited for drying so, that bit is a bit misleading, rest of the numbers, I have tried to be as precise as I could) * Around 80 grams of larfy bud which I can do nothing but to throw it away...😶 * After 7 - 8 days drying, 2 days curing Smoke Report:- Hits quick and hard. Very smooth and Earthy fruity sort of smoke. Personally NL didn't tickle my fancy but any weed is better than no weed 😎 Other cycle already in x2 White Widow x2 Green Gelato x2 Renaissance 👌 will post soon
