The girl scout cookies auto by FastBuds was a joy to grow. It took a few days in the jar for the baked cookies smell to come through, but boy does it ever! This is a wonderful smoke that tastes amazing and is suitable for any time of the day. I picked up a new G-Pen to really enjoy the flavors. This is a close contender to be my favorite strain to smoke.
This strain was great. It was more uniform than I was expecting. I topped all 8 plants once early on and pruned many lower branches. One of the plants had wispy buds at first with narrow leaves. That plant got over it and eventually made great buds as well although they trimmed up a bit weird. The rest were great. The results were very impressive in my opinion. I only ran my lights at 75% for a total of 990w, so the real grams per watt is somewhere around 1.33 g/w.
I trimmed a few colas by hand and the rest in a bowl trimmer. Nobody can tell a difference. I bowl trimmed some of it after it hanged to dry, but the trimmer was a little rough and left me with some small buds and long stems where it tore them from. The wet trim turned out really nicely.
When I lost power for 3 days, I had a hard time with the humidity in the room. The purple lemonade ended up with a little bud rot, but the GSC had none at all. Not sure if it was the location in the room or just a more resilient strain.
@Xanthur, yea i dont tolerate fluff or even include it in my weights. Wow hermie? I have STSed lower parts so i dont care when i leavem put it does lettem make more fem pollen.
Usually I never let it go more than 2 weeks appart.
I also started using make shift side lighting with cheap leds for the sides and lowers.
@GYOweed, I have an aloe Vera plant that's supposed to be good for that. I've tried staged harvests with no good results. One strain hermed immediately. The ones that it worked for still never bulked up or really developed much further. Seems to me it needs a few weeks to make a difference, and it isn't worth it to me to delay the next round. Now I just toss the light fluffy stuff into the trim bin.

@Fast_Buds, Thanks! Looking forward to it. I'm actually running four different auto strains from your lineup. I came across an article about autos on your website that said to withhold bloom nutrients until around week 5 (i think?) I made up a batch to test it out, and I have too much N with some wicked purple stems from the resulting phosphorus deficiency. Is that still the overall better approach from your experience? I diluted the solution and added back in some bloom, and the stems cleared right up. This is all happening at only 350ppm.
