Week 1. Vegetation
5y ago
CarlVan I used the propagator 2 but made a mistake: I put the nutriment liquid that comes with the smart starts pots in the propagator after having mingled them, that made probably the environment too humid. Then I decided to test the little pot humidity and open the deck of the propagator. 4 of my 5 weeds emerged yesterday, after 2-3 days; I was afraid I would loose the mast one in the middle, a white widow baby, but here it comes this morning! Now I will wait another 1-2 days and install them in their grow pots in my living room (apartment) in a sunny place. I wanted to buy tent and all the hydroponic material but no online store even answered my email (but one), they all seem to have stopped because of the wordwide situation. Too bad, because I know there won't be enough light to make them flourish, I am afraid, if I just let them grow in pots...will see

CarlVan I don't have the budget yet for indoor equipment, so it is just growing as such, near a window, and actually doing quite well, except for one of the 5 plants, a white widow (but the 2 other widows and its colleagues are growing well). Don't know what to do :-(

CarlVan All my 5 babies, despite the indoor growing just behind a window and without any equipment, are doing well. I have to say I was lucky: in 2 months only 2 cloudy days, which is very rare in my country! Of course, no huge growing but, for example, the one that has a difficult start, a White Widow, I did take special care of it and put it really the closest possible to the sun, plus helped with a little stick to maintain it vertically. Well, now, it is the stongest one and starts already flourishing a bit. And, moke me or not, I talked to all 5 on a regular basis - I think they heared me ! Anyway, I love this experience, and sharing it with unknown friends here around. Thanks for the support also - much appreciated.

I don't know where you are. But amazon and eBay are definitely still delivering. You can get a cheap hid light or cfl + oscilating fan probably for under £100? I strongly recommend trying or you will be disappointed unless you have a sunny, private garden you can move them into. The window sil will only disappoint...

@Fruitgrower, Thank you for your friendly advice, it's just I don't want to spend the budget right now. But I am lucky: it has been extremely sunny here, so even behind the window, it seems to work now!

They need more light bro.Air aswell. Put them outside to your balcony if its not too cold. I would fill up the tall one with some soil, before the wind break it. Good luck

@AutoGOAT, Thank you friend, finally, thanks to a full-sun season here (no one day cloudy for 2 months) they grow well. but you're right next time I will make things differently!

Good luck with your first grow. Too bad about the online shops. But u can put them behind the window or maybe on the balcony. Most outdoor growers start around this time so it will be no problem. And who knows by early July u can put them in the tent for the flowering period if they are available again. Keep growing strong 👍
