New week :)
Waiting on cal mag to arrive, interested to see how it changes growth.
Trying something out as I have the wrong nutrients for Coco, I think the plants will still get what they need if I keep the dosage really low and keep a close eye for deficiancies. Coco loves to suck up all the calcium so I'm adding alg-a-mic (algae is high in magnesium and calcium, can't guarantee anything but worth a shot), the acti Vera and give a good spread of other beneficial nutrients according to my research.
The Coco mix I accidentally made is more accurately 30% coco pith 30% Coco bark 25% Coco peat 5% perlite
When I prepared the big pots I soaked them with the seedling strength nute solution until there was runoff before transplanting.
Bottom of the pots have stayed moist but top half of the pots are quite dry, not worried yet but haven't fed them much at all just in case, no wilting so far.
Thought this was an autoflower! Ah fun quarantine times.
Calmag still hasn't arrived. I gave up and got some epsom salts. Added to feed on day 13 and some actual growth happened so sticking with it. Fingers crossed for her!
@@occultgreen420,
Never tried ORMUS, just googled it and it sounds interesting. If I can get my hands on a small bottle it'd be interesting to see. Wanted to try mycorrizhal fungi aswell!
@Xaicandy, thanks for the reply!
have you ever tried ORMUS? through other things that makes the plant behave interestingly, has magnesium sulfate in it as well, but purified. Epsom salts makes lots of sense!
Wonderful grow!
@@occultgreen420, Coco coir does a great job of absorbing calcium and magnesium from the substrate. At first I thought epsom would be enough but my plants really thrived with the extra calmag. Surprised this girl didn't turn out stunted, she was so malnourished, didn't get a second set of leaves till week 3
