I made a huge grid to measure my overall PPFD that is 5 inches by 4.5 inches throughout the entire grow tent. These measurements were taken 18 inches from the light which is where I've suspected for some time is the ideal positioning for these lights from the plants. It was the best way I could see to get a good overall reading of the tents PPFD. My conclusion from this data gathered that the entire tent is on average receiving 503.4 ฮผmol m-2 s-1 with a DLI of 43.49 for their 24 hour light cycle based off of 45 separate data point. Since the plants aren't even remotely close to being in the outer corners and edges of the tent; if we look at the 21 interior data points where the plants actually sit we come up with 651.61 ฮผmol m-2 s-1 with a DLI of 56.29 for the 24 hour light cycle. Since there is some overlap between both those areas we'll take an average from the two to say whats most likely and accurately going on in the space. Between the two of these the average is 577.5 ฮผmol m-2 s-1 with a DLI of 49.89 for the 24 hour light cycle which means that the plants are in either as close to possible ideal conditions as they can get or right in the perfect DLI/ฮผmol range for this stage of growth depending on how you choose to interpret the data.
These girls are chugging along quite nicely. They've gotten a little of nutrient burn on some of the lower leaves but not from feeding. I used a brand new bag of soil to plant and start these girls so I think that the soil might be a bit hot meaning it is already chocked full of nutrients. Since I've been watering them with a foliar sprayer some if the leaves have gotten wet and stuck directly to the topsoil so thats what I'm sure is causing their nutrient burns. Hopefully this doesn't stunt these girls too much. They are looking like lovely tiny little bushes so far. Should be nice to see how they progress in the coming days. Wish me luck :D
@PigBearMan, I only foliar spray water. I've had bad experiences in the past with feeding through foliar spraying in the past so I avoid it. Thats not to say it doesn't work, it's just not my cup of tea.
@PigBearMan, So in this tent there are two 300 watt equivalent Viparspectra LED's. They consume and actual 136 watts a piece. Since these girls are only being grown under one of them these plants are being vegged using 136 watts. The tents readings are for the two lights encompassing the whole tent. I hope thats not too confusing. Theres a whole other diary on the other side of this tent now.
These lights aren't honestly that good. They'll get the job done for sure. For them to be optimal you really have to put that plant almost directly underneath them at 18 inches to achieve great results. They significantly fall short for flowering though. They lack the output of PPFD to achieve an appropriate DLI for flowering. They work very decent for vegetation though.
@Bluesbreeder, Thanks buddy :D. Should be an interesting result regardless of what happens. Non-fem regular genetics are my specialty and preferred method of growing. Always an interesting journey :D
@DabCrab,well i'm curious for the result and the high it will bring you. gonna try a exotic strain in my next grow C.Banana but first i need my not so Auto Ultimate to harvest. lost a few weeks waiting for it to flower till i turned her on 12/12 regime so she wasn't an Auto after all.
Cheers man and i ๐will follow your diary
@Bluesbreeder, Lol. I had a good laugh when I read the name but then I say the breeding combination and my mouth salivated as it does around a beautiful woman such as this. Banana dream is just pure fire.... as the kids say it's 'gas'. Hellfire OG is a face melting high that leaves you stuck on your couch. The two of them together most certainly make the holiest of holes I'm sure.
@dabcrab,how things bro?,is ur light a ufo150???
i think there ok im using one now in 30x30x120 @14/18,depeneding if she likes it still trying to find that sweet spot,on my first grow, never thought a weed plant would be so hard!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
good luck with this one.๐
@SKYWALKER1980, They were a bunch of T5 bars. I've moved them under my LED's for the next week. They are cheap Viparspectra 136 watt panels. They are alright, they get the job done. These girls are struggling ATM from me moving things around.
@littleboyl, to be honest I don't think the same. It was obvious before we all joined some fishy undertakings were afoot. Even in most of our first few months without being in contests there were some members making fake accounts. Even worse was people were having friends and ect make accounts to vote for them in the contests. People were lying and falsifying information left and right. There are still people doing it even now and refusing to acknowledge we all know it.
As for your claims of my conditions not being proper... my average par reading at 18 inches is 503.4 PPFD meaning my DLI for the space is 43.49. This is based of of 45 separate readings in a grid that's chopped into 4 inch by 4 inches. Since I don't have plants on the exact edge of my tent that means if we only factor in the data points from the interior areas of my tent where the plants are actually located they are receiving an average of 651.61 PPFD meaning a DLI of 56.29 meaning they are in exactly optimal conditions for their vegetative growth based off the 21 interior data points where the plants are actually situated. My plants are in perfect lighting and using science and mathematics I have unquestionably proven it.
@DabCrab,it was fine before you lot turned up , and if you remember the pm s you sent me about all the top growers on here being liars , and the amount of reporting you did, I think you have some cheek . Secondly lux is relevant as it s an everyday measurement , like meters or centimetres , PAR is like hectares no one actually understands it , and can quite easily be explained in meters.
Before you nullify other people have proof , I can prove my led lux readings give optimum growth , and just by looking at yours I can see they are too far away , so when you changed them down a little , cos you got a meter , I can say I told you so.
@BigDaddyK, The issue isn't that it's not in some way applicable. It's the wrong tool for the job and more importantly not going to help anyone hit over 1 gram per watt. I'm here to help people hit the numbers they should to make the best and healthiest plants.
I'm not trying to condescend or be ignorant with you right now (Despite you making me want to tell you where you can shove it). I'm trying to teach the science and facts I've had the privilege of not only figuring but being taught as well by people who are significantly better at this than all of us. I've invest serious time and effort into going to school for horticulture so that I can one day be lucky enough to grow medicine for everyone and pay fat taxes to the government. To live the true peaceful stoner dream. I'm just trying to help people and honestly man if maybe you'd like to burry the hatchet we can here and now. Start actually being constructive instead of ripping each other.
I'm not a cheater and I'm not a liar. The wolfpack (Not EVERYONE) got people kicked of the site for being just plain awful and cheating the contests and making dozens of fake accounts. Those people came after me specifically for catching them and calling them out. I am trying to make this a fair and safe place and with the help of @WhiteWidow and the wolfpack I think we've made the site more fair and more importantly gotten people to communicate and really talk collectively. I'd like for you to be a part of that if you are really about changing things here. It's all about being honest and truthful. Putting facts on the table and not withholding information that can help people grow their own medicine. The best and most medicine in the most cost effective way for themselves. That means we put our ๐ช away and start helping this place become what it should.
Just Curious if you've considered transplanting? It seems like it might be an oxygen problem with wet soil in these small cups that might smooth out a bit if you move to a larger container... Just a thought. Keep up that good work DabCrab ๐
@BigDaddyK, Welp asshole. You've been violating them for weeks harassing me and making comments after I've asked you to leave me alone. @Mudbug called @FarmerBrett and I 'French Fry Faggot" and is still kicking and making diaries so obviously the sites rules don't matter. There is no order here and there are no rules. So you good sir can suck my cock you old faggot. I hope you get raped by a rusty knife.
@BadCrap, I don't think I have insulted you once , you are the one doing all the crying , all I said was if you ask nicely I'll tell you what the problem is , and now you have gone off and thrown your toys out the pram , making all sorts of homophobic and mental health remarks , which I'm pretty sure is against the terms and conditions , instead of being a grown up .
@BigDaddyK, I chalk it up to personal error. The soil I started them in is from a new bag I just bought so I'm guessing it was a little too hot for two of the seeds. It happens.
Only the name of this strain is one reason to follow this grow, the second is that we will see a awesome grow and final results.
Good luck and happy growing.
@CBD_Sweden, Lol, Thanks buddy. I'm hoping so. As far as I can tell no one has grown this strain except for the breeder so for all intensive purposes I'll be the first person to document this strain for others to enjoy. I hope I do it justice; I really do. Thanks for the well wishes buddy :D
