Started in veg as seedlings are pretty boring right haha! Anyway this is the 3rd week since seed, my 2nd grow and my first photoperiod. Using high frequency fertigation with canna full line of nutrients and supplements on the light feeding schedule. Will be transplanting to a 5 gallon when she is ready. Plan to top, mainline and lst throughout.
Had a good week up until transplant, I dropped the pot and the rootball broke up and damaged some roots... she has started growing back and past 6 nodes since yesterday, so I have now topped at the 3rd node and trimmed back growth tips from each node below. Awaiting recovery now so will update in a weeks time. 🙂
New shoots have taken off after the topping and just starting to grow the 4th node. Will be topping as soon as I can see enough to chop. Will continue the mainlining and lst throughout so defoliating shoots and leaving leaves that arent in the way.
So this week has seen the mainline taking shape, just topped the final 4 tops and now to see how she grows. Had a little strange thing happen where one of the final tops had only 1 side to the node. But the growth tips seem intact. Should be ok but will see how it is in a few days.
Had an issue whilst training this week, I forgot to leave a stump on the 2nd topping and when I tried to train it I broke 2 of the tops off. Tried to repair but failed and just cut them off. All recovered, did a bit of super cropping and chiropracting to strengthen the stems a bit more... and today just topped the 4 main tops left to complete the mainline training. From now I'll just be using lst and when necessary some more supercropping, to ensure an even, spread out canopy come flower. All good tho just need to back off on the nutrients as I'm consistently getting 900 to 1000ppm runoff when I'm watering with 20% runoff if more everytime I feed. Also some leaves are a bit too dark so I will drop to around 6ml rather than 9ml per gallon of the a and b.
I think I might need to learn how to be more gentle... or patient, I can't decide lol. Anyhoo I snapped off yet another top so yet again more waiting and uneven plant. Not topping again so it can stay with 7 main stems instead of 8. Would like to flower in the next 2 weeks so I dont want to waste any more time. Dropping the base notes and supplementing calmag seems to have helped with the nitrogen overload she was getting and new growth seems a much better colour now, bo shinyness to it which is pleasing. Learning every day 🤣
Slow progress this week as I've been struggling with really high temps in the day, up to 34c at the minute which I cant control until my air cooler gets here. Plant is looking great now though, super healthy and the leaves look that lush green again, and the snapped top is healed and growing. Just installed a homemade scrog net to help with training in the weeks to come. So a good week but very slow growing
Great week this week, temps have been controlled with a little sacrifice of space. Growth is really fast again and just flipped into 12/12 saturday. Stretch inbound
Been a week in flower now and stretch is going well, homemade scrog net is doing its job pretty well and a fairly even thick canopy, first signs of flowers developing, so all is well. Looking healthy still, no signs of deficiencies so onto the next week.
Week 2 of flower done, still stretching but starting to develop the flowers a bit more now. Looking healthy, not much to report this week, seems to be in cruise control.
Week 3 of flower going great, no issues other than high temps. Plant seems to be very resilient to higher temps as I've had around 35c at some points in the day... obviously not ideal but ive maintained humidity at around 60 to 65 when it's like this to help. Other than that a smooth week, just stopped stretching yesterday and buds are developing in size, should see some bulking over the next weeks.
Another quiet week, other than pk boost. Not sure if I'm gonna get huge colas as the flowers do have spaces in between as I'm at the end of week 5 and they aren't really stacking like I'd hoped... might be jumping the gun but time will tell lol!
Pretty chilled week again, not much to report. Been supporting some of the thinner stalks as they were leaning a bit... so the buds are putting weight on. Will be lowering the nutes over the next couple weeks and just using boost and zym for the last week, maybe just boost but we will see
just waiting to finish now, week 6 done and its looking like the trichomes are already nearly there. Gonna let it go 60 to 65 days but checking trichs every couple days as I don't want too much amber with this strain. Its so damn frosty, really impressed with resin production on this pheno.
Good last week, ripened up to the point I'm happy with, I pulled her at day 55 as there was a lot more amber trichs than the last time I checked. Around about 10% which I'm happy with for this potent strain. Been drying 1 day will update the harvest when all in jars and weighed up.
Ok so the dry took 10 days and only had 3 or 4 days cure but the smoke is pretty heavy, taste sorta fuely and sweet. Smells like Berry gas which is pretty stinky. Very impressed with this strains resilience to everything, and low feed requirements, I couldn't go over 750ppm all the way through. Got just over 4 1/4 ozs adding the 7g I took earlier due to no smoke. Great strain, will grow again next year most likely.
Hello friend. How are you? 😉
I recovered from my illness and started writing my diary again. if you are interested - subscribe. 👍
MJ's medicine helps a lot, you know what I mean?😎
You are going to love this strain. Its a easy grower, low, big fat leaves. Takes to training quite well. You may even get a bit of variation of color on your leaves like I do. Cloned real easy too.
Grow on Bro cha cho!
