Seed planted in coco coir with soil tab 2" down and root extender mixed in. Coco was pretreated with recommended dose of cal/mag and ph balanced 5.8 3 days before planting and allowed to settle. Top of soil being kept moist not wet until it sprouts.
After 4 days of waiting finally pop's, now the fun begins.
1st week went ok. Not sure what I expected but it is a little smaller than I expected. Still looking healthy though. Temperature has dipped to 18°C a few times but is generally up about 21 - 25 humidity is about 45% - 50%. Looking forward to another week of growth.
Slight yellowing of the tips on the first set of leaves, not sure if its due to using soiltabs so may be nute burn coming on. The tab should only last another week or so, so will see how it goes. Update - the yellowing tip didn't get any worse thankfully and still continuing to grow.
Into 3rd week and still can't help feeling it's a little small. Feeding about a litter of water at each feed with 0.5ml of cal-mag. The soil tab is still doing it's job. The yellow tips never got any worse so there was no need to panic. Looking forward to this week. Had to remove and flush the soil tab, day 17 brought along droopy clawed leaves, tip burn got worse. After a flush with 3x ph water then last 1lt with 1/4 dose biobizz growth formula she perked up the next day. Started lst on day 19, she seems to be responding well to it.
Made it to the 4th week. Had a few problems in week 3 but think I've solved it now. Quite drastic growth over the last week started lst and keeping it low due to the space bucket being low. Leaves are popping up everywhere. Think this will be last week of veg. Starting this week feeding 1/2 dose of biobizz growth and cal mag. Pre flowers are appearing so from day 24 started to add a bit of biobizz top max to help it along the way. Will keep it at this for the next week then will start to switch to biobizz bloom. Accidentally broke two of the fan leaves whilst fiddling with her, hopefully she will be fine.
The 5th week has arrived and I'm gonna say it is in flower. It has pretty much tripled in size in the last week and now the calyxs and pistils have started growing. I trimmed a couple of fan leaves just to let more light reach the lower leaves. I'm slowly changing from grow nutes to bloom nutes over the next week. I'm excited to see how she's gonna change over the next week. Yellow spots appeared on older leaves, maybe magnesium deficiency. Regardless of what it is I'd imagine it maybe a build up of salts so flushed her with ph water followed by a feed. Bought a small tent for her as she has outgrown the bucket and unfortunately my design didn't leave me an option to extend the height. The tent is only 40x40x100cm so not huge but still much more room than the bucket. After putting it in the tent the humidity has shot up, I think it's because there is a lack of air flow coming out and it's also beginning to stink. Carbon filter and fan on order hopefully it will fix both issues. She is now sat in her tent carbon filter in cos she really starting to stink now. So much for a low smell strain.
Week 6 2nd week of flowering, what a learning experience this has been. I've have had a crash course in plant biology, learnt a space bucket has serious limitations and is there really such a thing as a low odour strain? In the last week it has left the bucket and started to stink so bad it's all I could smell as soon as I walk in the front door. Now the carbon filter is in the smell is under control although the humidity is now around 60%. Looking forward to my buds growing bigger over the coming weeks. Buds are beginning to get bigger and pistils have exploded. Grown so tall is now over .5m tall.

Beginning of the 7th week. Everything is ticking along lovely at the moment. She seems happy and has grown tremendously over the last week. So much so that I've had to bend the top over as it was touching the light. It's sitting at 2 feet high at the moment so hopefully it'll stop now and just fatten up. Can't remove it from the tent so easily now due to my light set up so unfortunately most photos will have the blurple tint to them. Had to do some lst on her to try and keep the height down. I'm thinking it may be the light isn't strong enough so she stretching a bit.
Beginning of the 8th week and things are going great. Buds are growing bigger every day and she has grown massively in the last week. All looking good no signs of deficiency at the moment, hope it stays that way. Was getting a bit crowded so did a bit of lst and ended up snapping one of the main colas. Did a quick patch up, should be fine just hope it doesn't affect the bud growth. The smell is stronger but it's nice not overly skunky but very pleasant. The trichomes are beginning to cover all the buds but I'm a little worried that they are a little small, have I affected the growth somehow? Last day of week 8 and I think one last feed tomorrow and I'll start the flush, hopefully timed it right.
Beginning of week 9 - Last feed is today then starting the final flush. Hopefully I've got the timing right and should harvest sometime next week. The Trichomes are looking sparkly and the smell is subtle but absolutely amazing.
On the advice of some helpful chaps here I've decided to delay my flush til next week give it some more time to grow.
Day 61 decided to start the flush as I've noticed the pistils have begun to start turning amber so I'm hoping in two weeks time she'll be ready to chop.
Some rust spots appearing on some of the leaves not sure if it was from overfeeding (might of got a little eager to grow fat buds)
As there is some tip burn evident. Either way I have started to flush her now so not much I can do now. She looks so frosty now photos just can't do it justice.
Week 10 - flush has been going for a few days now. Buds are looking snowy, the smell is gorgeous. Some of the leaves are showing a deep purple colour which is common in this strain. She's gonna look great when she's finished. Most of the leaves are showing nutes burn from me being over exuberant in the last Week with the nutes (should've stuck to the plan).
After a bit of a chat with a fellow grower who has convinced me that my plant is not ready yet I've decided to keep feeding her for another week or so just hope I haven't ruined her by not feeding for a week.
Day 69 and pulled her out of the tent for a bit of a tidy up and she looks amazing. She looks far better in her full glory than his in a tent. I'm very pleased with my first grow, made a few mistakes along the way, but she's looking better than I would of imagined.
Beginning of week 11. Getting anxious about making the choice to chop as it comes closer. Really don't want to ruin the grow by harvesting to early or late. Done a lot of research into flushing, opinions are really divided on whether to flush or not to flush. Ive decided not flush, I agree you shouldn't starve them when they need it the most.
My mistake at trying to attempt an early flush has damage her some what. The top fan leaves have taken the brunt of it but the bottom leaves seem fine. Hopefully all will stay fine now really can't be too long left now.
75 days and still not ready, never was very patient. Trichomes look as if they are beginning to change so not long now.
Day 76 and updating daily seems a little pointless as not much is changing but really wanted to have a daily log for beginners like me to follow so they can have a rough idea of what their grow could look like each day.
The Trichomes are still mostly clear but slowly turning cloudy.
Well week 12 has arrived, one week over the latest time nirvana seeds quoted on their site, and still waiting for the Trichomes. I want to wait for the right time though, don't want to ruin two months of work for the sake of an extra week or so.
Day 79 and after a good inspection with the loupe I'd say the Trichomes are about 80% cloudy but not a single amber one in sight. I reckon another week to go.
Day 81 and watered for last time as chopping her on Friday. Can't wait to get it dried to see how much weight I have.
Day 82 - Final day before the chop, the last 3 months have been a huge learning experience and I've made many mistakes but I've got to harvest day. I've managed to stick to my plan and document every day even though the last few weeks hasn't seen much change. I wanted to give any other new growers like myself something to compare their grow too.
This plant was very easy to grow and very forgiving. I started it in a space bucket and finished it in a small tent as it grew big quickly. Very tolerant of mistakes which I made a few as a first time grower. The smell was non existent until early stages of flower then when preflower started it was a subtle piney sort of smell. As soon as the buds started to grow it stank and I had to invest in a carbon filter. The end smell was a citrus piney smell with definite hints of a diesel aroma. She produced some pretty hefty buds too although I did mess up with my light distance and caused a bit of foxtailing and the buds weren't as tight as they could of been.
Well finally made it to harvest! Growing the blue mystic auto for a first grow seemed relatively easy. I made quite a few mistakes, used a soil tab causing nute burn early on. Tried to flush to early causing all sorts of leaf issues in the last part of the grow but all in all she did well.
I stuck to my plan and kept my journal updated everyday. I wanted to have a record so any other newbie could compare their grow to what it could look like each day. It all got a little tedious towards the end as very little changed but the stretch was exciting.
I pulled 11.6 oz wet from her so now it's all hung up drying and will soon update with a dry weight. Have sampled a little and although it was cured properly so not at it's full potential, it wasn't bad very citrus flavour with hints of a piney diesel flavour. The high was quite euphoric which I was hoping for, I didn't allow any amber Trichomes appear they were mostly cloudy with some clear left. Just finished drying maybe done a little quick but struggled a little to keep the conditions just right. It's weighing in at 2.35 oz after removing all the stems.
I've read a lot on it and decided not flush but I will take the drying and curing slowly. But to be honest I won't smoke it I will vape it and probably make edibles. I'm done with destroying my lungs.
Beautiful buds. I agree with Jon though. They don't appear to be done. This is the hardest part about the grow in my opinion. Light, soil, water, and nutrients are fairly straightforward, but determining the optimum time to flush then harvest is difficult. I would hold off on flushing for at least this week.
When I think my plant is ready to harvest too early, you can remind me to wait!
@Quexos, Thanks my man it is really hard to judge without the experience under your belt. I think I will wait a week I really want them buds to fatten up.
I'm learning that Space Buckets have their limitations. I'm not at flowering stage, but I'm amazed you have that size plant in your tiny little space bucket. Are you going to finish it outside the space bucket? With all that said, you have one beautiful looking plant.
Great yield on the auto! Any updates on dried weight? I have a couple BMs that are around 65 days old and thought I would be able to harvest by the end of this week but not so sure after comparing their progress to yours. This should be a breat reference guide!
@ChopChopJam, thanks man, got a few more days of drying yet but will update as soon as they are ready. I was aiming for this to be a good reference guide, hence all the photos everyday even when it became tedious work.
Nice Grow! In all I would say that your first grow was a success! You had a few issues, but even experienced growers have some of the same issues in their grows. I would be proud.

@Quexos, Thanks man. Yeah I'm very proud of her, just hope it was due to extensive research and not beginners luck and hope my next grow is as successful. I'm pretty sure yours will turn out good.
Just about everyone wants to harvest early; in fact, several harvests deep I myself always think they're done before they really are.
Generally speaking, harvest by trichomes gives you the most potent bud and (often) longest grow time to have more bulking and resin waves. This is why a high powered magnifier is suggested.
However, even going by the pistils, you want them to really start dying and turning orange... like 75%-100% of them
I reckon you've got a few weeks yet; but that's actually good; it will only get bigger and frostier as time goes on!
@Jaindoh, cheers man, it's so hard to judge I want to give her enough of a flush but obviously don't want to starve her if I don't need to. Do you think I should cut the nutes yet or give a bit longer? Thanks for your help.
I can see the difference from last week! The pictures show fuller buds. You are going to do zero flushing? That means nutes until you chop? Not even fresh water? I bought Flawless Finish from Advanced Nutrients for my flush. Supposedly it flushes the plant without starving it. That's kinda scary in my opinion. I had a buddy who was doing hydro. He was a newb, like us. He didn't flush plants before chop and his bud lit up like fireworks!
Absolutely brilliant diary to follow buddy, just about to start my first grow of 3 or 4 of these in coco with a 600w LED in a 1x1x2m tent. Doing it in my garage so had to play about to get the temps right which I believe I now have so gonna get started in the coming days.
If I can get even close to what you got I'll be a happy grower!
@BillyBoy86, I grew a second one of these using canna coco a+b and canna PK 13/14 in a 8ltr fabric pot and got 3.66oz from it. So she can yield pretty good. Also the second plant had literally no smell whilst growing and gives a nice high.
I have read this diary start to finish like 3x now. I am a first time grower using these genetics also in a space bucket. I'm on day 33 and 22". Thank you for your detailed record. It is really helpful to have something for comparison.
