Calling this week one for these two Pineapple Skunk clones. I cut them a little over 4 weeks ago and rooted them in jiffy pots under a clear dome. When the roots started poking out the sides of the jiffy pots I transplanted them into ~2 gal pots (one is fabric one is plastic) filled with Coco, a little compost, and about 250 grams of the Gaia green 4-4-4 general purpose dry amendment per pot. I mix up the “soil” and water it about a week prior to planting so it has time to come to life a bit before planting. These two have been in pots for 5 days now.
The mother was flipped to 12/12 around April 1st so I guess that makes it around about week 4 of flower. She’s bushy so going to keep that in mind when grooming the clones during veg.
Happy growing.
Edit #1: added colour corrected photos of the mother in flower.
The stems on both plants have stiffened up. I can see two roots have reached the bottom of the plastic pot, no way to tell in the fabric pot. Overall the clones are much perkier looking and have replenished the majority of their green colour. The one in the fabric pot seemed to suffer more after the transplant than the other; showing signs of overwatering. But it is definitely recovering.
I’m hoping top them soon. This week if they seem ready in a few days.
I've missed a couple of weeks, but yesterday I got these two clones transplanted into some 7 gal fabric pots. Homemade mix of coco, worm castings from my vermicomposter, gaia green dry ammendments (all purpose and bloom) and a little pearlite to lighten things up. I'll be growing them naturally like christmas trees instead of topping them - I've actually never done this before so I want to try it out for fun. As tall as I can. One of them is definitely getting some christmas lights for July 25 :)
Also as you can probably tell from the photos, they've been moved outside for the remainder of their grow.
Outside in 7 gal fabric pots, they’re stretching out and over 3 feet tall now. Tons of bud sites, probably another couple of weeks before the preflowers start to show sex.
Gone out of town for a few days, so I rigged up a hose timer to flood the kiddie pool once a day and just let the plants soak it up from the bottom.
Put them up on tables to get more sunlight lower down for more of the day.
Also top dressed with 1/2 cup Gaia green 2-8-4 power bloom and 2 cups of worm castings. Lots and lots of water these days - it’s HOT!!!
