Honestly didn’t plan on posting this grow after my prior disappointment but I need help and couldn’t figure a better place to come. I’m running Northern Lights Auto from Seedsman, I honestly couldn’t tell you how long it’s been going for it just feels like forever so I put about twelve weeks but I know for sure I’ve been flushing for about 2 weeks going on feels like and still no amber trichomes, almost all the pistils have turned and curled in but the trichomes remain clear and a lil cloudy. Does anybody have any experience with this, I’ve heard about northern lights trichomes never turning amber but I wanted to double check with you guys and see if this is normal? And should I keep it going until I see amber? Or just all cloudy?

Running Northern Lights Auto, almost 13 weeks running, nice flush fade, almost all pistils have ambered and curled in, but the trichomes remain pretty clear, maybe a lil less than half are cloudy. Is this normal does any one else have any experience with this particular strain?

Hello! For me your plant look great and mature! It’s normal until the end of life always some new flowers (pistils and also trichomes), it’s a defense for light UV! Try to look for the old flowers near the stem! The first ones! For me the drying, and cure it’s so important for a potent smoke, as the right time to harvest!! Just try to help!

Those buds look ready to me. I’m dealing with the same issue with my current grow- I had more cloudy trichomes 1 week ago than I have now at the end of week 10, beginning of week 11. I am preparing to harvest this weekend because I’m looking at the overall picture. Most of my plant’s pistols have turned orange and are receding back into the calyxes/buds, the bulk of my foliage has yellowed/browned off with flushing and the smell has changed. When they are ready, they smell ripe- like fruit that you can still eat but if you wait much longer, it will spoil. Kind of a thick and almost fermented sweetness in smell tells me along with everything else that it’s harvest time! Good luck and enjoy the fruits of your labour!
