I will come back to do a full report, tomorrow is full chop day. I just wanted to show you all the outcome.
Update June 13th - Did one plant wet trimmed some was done spun with the spin trimmer. Doing the rest as a dry trim. Going to compare results.
Update June 18th — The dry trim looks way better then the wet trim. I even took a few wet trimmed and touched up the cuts. Granted I need to clean my spin cleaner. I just don’t have the amount of alcohol and $ to continually clean this giant bowl so the buds are just smearing all the trichomes all over everything. Once the surfaces are all coated and sticky it makes it worse too.. again my fault for having a dirty spin cutter right now but still. I want to do this bud justice so it’s still hanging. Nice slow dry it’s still damp keeping an eye on it. The air flow is good so I’m really really hoping we can avoid any issues. Already jarred the wet trim it was ready for cure already.
Side note I can say I’ve noticed that this bud is so much darker then the stem that you can’t help but notice every stem when it’s jarred. I’ll post examples. It’s not a big deal just thought it was interesting.
SMOKE REPORT IS GOING TO BE WEEKLY STARTING WITH END OF WEEK 1 IN CURE.
1st-Wet spin trim-June 25th 8:20pm first taste of red Mandarine... heavy eyes sedated feeling, calm, relaxed. Berries/fruit flavour. For have very little visual trichomes this bud sure is packing a punch. It is stronger then anything I’ve ever grown before. But that being said I’m still a newbie so ever crop seems to be an improvement.
July 24 — Dry trim comparison is a noticeable difference in taste, smoothness and effect. The taste is a clean sour pucker. I don’t smoke so it’s hard to compare smoothness but this is where I noticed the most difference. The vapour can get very thick and peppery (It makes me sneeze) but smooth. The high is strong but functional. It helps knock down my anxiety and releases what can only be explained as mental pressure.
All in all you could compare Red Mandarine (both cutting methods) to the stuff they put on the top shelf and charge 3x the price of a gram for. I’ve grown 8-9 strains now this is for sure the number 1 in all categories and I would recommend everyone grow this at least once.
As far as weight...Yeah I don’t keep a scale around. I probably should but i just don’t.
@Seedtoweed, hey thanks for looking. I'm enjoying growing this pheno. I wanted to share it for others to enjoy too. No smell, trichomes are slowly developing.
I was shopping for my next auto run, putting it together for a side by side by side, hlg 550,650, and scynce led raging kush and wanted to get sum killer genetics for a killer 3way side by side review. And I ended up getting some if these, not sure why they put fast versions in with autos on the site I was on it's my fault for rushing and order but still damn aggravating. Was looking for a few traits to add into a couple projects I have going that were lacking a bit imo. How was the terp production of your girls? I think I read where u said the smell was still non existent?
Was looking to boost the terps on my project and add a little more color ifni was able to cross this in. You harvest LOOKS. Killer when I see the end color of your girls it's got some traits to admire, but really looking for a twrp monster just wanted to ask how pungent these girl were. Thnx man
@ThEm4DSc13_TiSt, The smells are nice. Full on citrus scent. The taste is subtle but leaves a very sour taste in your mouth. I will be keeping this pheno for awhile.
