Second grow here
This is week one
150-170 watts of light
sharing the room with 2 others it won't get all the light ofcourse
the feeding brand is Hy-pro
never had nutrient problem so far with it 😀 (started with one, then 2, 3)
The seed was a little small, the seller told me it was kinda small and if i wanted i could choose another by myself, but my choice was to keep the sellers first grabbed seed.
I'm thinking about adding salicyc acid to it through an aspirine like drug.
I made 250 ml water solution with 250mg of salicyc acid medicine (rootstimulator) at first I will put 10ml around the stem, and next feeding round I'ma put some 2ml in a liter
Hope it grows fast and dense, I did some LST last time, maybe this time I wont, or just a bit, we'll see what comes
4 days after last pics
didn't happen much so back to 12/12 (space is an issue so no large flowers, planning some LST)
also, i think that last week there was no visible improvement
i think i spotted some moulded area on the soil, already sprayed it with cleaning soap for washing dishes. most of the times it helps, should be evil for the gnats too.
I must admit, i really like to lower the ph level with the aid of lemon juice, it's really cheap and the makes the water smell awesome.
i hope the gnats didn'f fuck my miniature plant, it's so small, the seed was small too, i hope it grows into something nice and tasty.
Hi everyone, last week growth has improved a lot.
I've added an inch of sand to stop the gnats. I havent seen any the last couple of days :)
hope it was just normal, this tempo of growing, and that was because of the sativa genetics that made the slow start, also hoping that the gnats didn't stress this baby too much.
overall she looks nice for her age, and she started to start her branches too.
I don't expect big yield, it's an auto, and i probably will do 12/12 untill end.
Also for this one i will probably do some LST with the main stem, first waiting to see how she stretches, i want the plant a bit low/small
(a bit slower than in the book)
All looks good after the slow start
i had lst planned, but since the nodes are short i'll keep it this way.
first signs of flowering is visible too now, very eager to see how she progresses
all looks good now :)
after some worries and a slow start she's doing good for now
I want to lower feeding, but she's in week 3 of flowering going to add some extra booster and less mneral nutrients.
i noticed a difference in ec and ppm today, for fun i measured with both.
ec meter measures only the mineral nutrents, the ppm counts both
I feed my bagseed with same ec level of 1.6 and has nice light green color leaves
after adding molasses and chicken fertilizer, the ppm count goes upto 900-100, but ec stays at 1.6 straight. I can see the plant could easily take more, so different from clones, if i'd give 1000ppm to an 3week flowering cloned plant it would give all kind of burn problems, which i don't have with most seedlings.
She's ok
i made my water with a bit more than a liter, but i measured to keep at good ec,
so t could be this weeks calculation is a bitt off.
the main cola is builging up nicely
trichomes all over the place
i don't expect much, this autoflower girl had so much bad luck,
i'm glad to see a glimpse of her bud on her
I'm removing 100 watt light, she won't get larger anymore
Also not too sure about starting to flush from next week.
Leaves are a bit dark in my opinon, So, next week i will be flushing only with water with ph anywhere around 7.
Welcome to the 5th week of my mutilated magic mango
When i dropped one of my diy led's on the center of the plant, it looked like i was going to top it, it was nearly topped and the recovery from it took very much time.
The amount of flowers is very low, but trichomes all over the place
besides that i can feel the breath of the cops in my neck
So i decided to cut a bud in advance, when i get caught i already have tasted what i have grown
Only watering this week, leaves look very healthy, but a little bit dark to me, plant is happy though, leaves are upwards all the time.
I forgot to mention, this autoflower gets 12 hours of light with white light, with a couple of other photoperiod plants, after those 12 hours i put it under smaller blurple light, it's a 12V 50W COB, driven at 25 watt for extra lighting, the last 2 weeks i have been doing this, untill i see it's nearly time to finish, then back to 12/12.
The smell at week 3 of bloom was very fruity, it had the same smell as a good green mango, no difference.
But since she matured, the smell changed to the "trichome"smell, same smell like any other "white weed"
It has a kind of dark but light skunky smell too, which easily can be grown without filter if you don't grow many.
Welcome to week 6 of bloom period,
this girl has been through a lot, falling lamp on her head
gnats when she was little
and now i see white spots on the leaves
i've decided to remove the ... how should i phrase this.....
main .... miniature can of cola....
this was ready to harvest, luckily...
i see some creatures, but i don't think it's mites
more something like earthflee
i sprayd the soil surface with kaliumnitrate
let's try to ripen the remaining parts
....
my manic mango
still nice and green, but slowly i've started with the harvest of more of her bud
taste is very tropical
and fresh too
you can nearly taste the trchomes on the bud
very deep and intense taste
i tried to keep it low and it was too succesfull this time
4th day of the week i took her down
letting her dry a bit, suddenly i smell this spicy aroma, very nice.
Dealt with gnats, a lamp on the center stem at early age, at the end some earthflees.
But, the smoke is awesome. I don't regret using molasses, The taste is very fruity, although, i can't recognze the mango smell and taste anymore since week 4 of bloom, back then the smell was like green mango that isn't ripened yet. The smoke is a good hitter, which makes me feel good and cleares headache and stuff like that. After weighing the main cola at wet weight last week i didn't want to weigh anymore, but for what she did go through, she did well for me. I think when you don't mutulate her, she will grow into a big and strong plant, this one was short and bushy
She was easy to grow, whether i made mistakes or not, i made a lamp foll on top of her, she did her best to grow into a beautifull plant.
And she succeeded, the yield was very very low, but that was my bad..
She has good resistance i think, gnats didn't bother her too much, unlike the candy kush which had less resistance.
The smoke is super-tropical, the feeling is one hit sativa and changes to indica feeling after half an hour.
I like the freshness of this strain, so i don't think if i would like the taste of this weed when it's cured.
It's not enough for me to make it through curing, i smoked the most of the plant in meantime. I think around 10-15 grams are left.
Your plants recovered nicely! I knew you were concerned because of the light. There doesn't seem to be much stretch so far. That's nice. That aspect of this grow hasn't changed. Your plants were short and stocky from the very beginning. This strain might be good for a space bucket grow.
@Quexos, today i looked from close at the plant, the main cola starts at about 1 inch from the ground, that's still reasonable, also i discovered a whole bunch of small buds there which i didn't look at before.
@Quexos, It's from dizzy duck seeds, they have a coffeeshop/weedshop in our city,
i bought the seed at the Hague seed center, price was around 7 dollar.
We can smoke their weed in their coffeeshop, and grow a personalised version with less couchlock after smoking :)
@Zannabis7, LoL, last week i dropped one of my diy lights on top of it, it nearly got topped, but recovered very well. now she acts like a normal topped plant, happyness around again.
I knew your little girl would give it a go in the end! She looks pretty good considering the hell she's gone through in her short little life. You think full harvest in 2 weeks? BTW your pictures were a bit blurry this week. Hard to see the beautiful details.
@Quexos,
sorry about the low quality pictures
I will add some pictures later on, i used another phone to make the picures
Indeed i was hoping to plan the full harvest in 1.5/2 weeks, keeping an eye on the trichomes well, if the white spots don't spread out too much, maybe i could still harvest her in a normal manner 👌
Very frosty! She looks almost done. We both approached our grows in a similar fashion. I wonder if the yield would be better if we let them veg a bit after all the massive training. I'm thinking that it was a little too much LST and stress on the plant, and it affected the bud production. My grow seems to be going in the same direction.
@Smokwiri, I just bought an autoflower strain from Seedman. It should be arriving shortly. I'll be growing it after my current grow is finished and my wife and I return from vacation.
Yeah, I read in lots of places that you never top an auto. Some growers won't even apply LST. I guess we will come up with our own methods!
