Zamnesia Spring Cup - PP

Just germinated - waiting to go into pots! 22/04/20 - Germinated 2 Purple Punch seeds - soaked in water with a drop of seaweed. All germinated fine. 24/04/20 - Added to rooters 28/04/20 - Putting them in their starter pots today to see which out of the two is the strongest. Starter medium will be soil - Biobiz light & pro with a tiny amount of worm castings and perlite. i really don't have a clue if this is going to be too hot for them but we'll see. After two weeks we'll see which has rooted out proper and put the winner in it's final home! 😃 Track ID - The Jimi Hendrix Experience - Purple Haze.

Time lapse is from 7th to 12th May. 13th Moved them all to the main tent. Noticed they enjoyed it more in there as they seemed happier the next day. Wished i started in there...oh well! 15th Potted all up but then realised I didn't have enough soil for the organic pot. Waiting for soil to arrive this week so I can pot up to final 11L fabric pot. Once she is potted up i'll expect to see rapid growth as she'll have all she needs. Fingers crossed.

Evening all! Start of this week I transplanted her to the 11L Zamnesia fabric pot. I prepared the soil which consisted of the following - 9 litres of BioBizz All mix. 1 cup of worm castings. 1 litre of perlite. Half of the bag of MonsterBud Mix (75g approx). Pulled her gently out of her 750ml pot. Her root mass could have developed more and I was worried the root ball would crumble apart as you try to manoeuvre it into place. Carefully, I put her into her final home and gently watered with PH'd water to 6.4. Left her 24hrs and checked on her to find she's loving her new home! Happy days! Watered some more to soak the medium. The next day I found the medium drying out which is normal but as I'm new to the organic side I don't want it to fully dry out. I have now ordered some clay Seramis to act as a moisture cover for the organic medium. So far I'm happy with her progress....she looks to be cruising!! I will top her at the end of next week and then start some LST. Peace out!

Hey all, This week she has been cruising. No issues at all. Top end of last week and she didn't miss a beat. I will start LST this week to encourage new growth. I will veg until the end of this month and then flip. Progress is good this week. I expect growth to pick up and her bush out a little. Peace & stay safe!

Nothing much happened this week. Decent amount of growth. Applied some bends for LST to the two heads created by topping. Once recovered I'll top again. aiming to put her into flower within the next two weeks. I will fill up the remainder of the fabric pot to the top with some more soil and more Bux mix just before flipping. Peace x

First thing is first.....i am very impressed with these nutes 😀 The growth has been awesome. There are so many tops....so I've topped again 😆 The smell of her is fruity berry like. I cannot wait to get her into flower. Giving her 1.5 litres every 4 days. I am a little worried as I've been vegging her with these nuts for 4 weeks and I don't want her to run out...my plan was to add another layer of soil and nutes but I'm going to scrap this and just go with it after all it's my first time using these Zam organics and I'd like to see how far they can go and what the limits are. No photo's from this week but pretty similar to the week before. I little more growth. Not sure how long these nutes can go for but she looks healthy as can be, Simply watered and transferred her to a separate tent ready to flip her. No issues whatsoever. I cannot say anything bad about this combo and it's been flawless so far.

Oi Oi is flowering time!! She was flipped into flower 22nd June - 9 days in and she's looking amazing!!! Not much stretch in her which is nice. She's short stocky strain and the terps on her already....so blissfully fruity!! I really cannot wait to harvest and grow her again....but bigger!!! Muhahaha!! 😜 I love Indicas but never really found a fruity tasty one I liked....I think i have now and I've not even smoked her. Even IF I she doesn't turn out the way I hoped.....guess what??? I got 3 other seeds to pop with some wicked fruity pheno's!!! Anyways I digress....the past week or so she really has been cruising. I'm kind of feeling I could have vegged longer due to the additional worm castings mixed in with the soil, also LST'd a bit more in order to get more tops and utilise all the nutes in the soil. End of stretch coming Monday and i will defoliate and lollipop her. Once more thing....did I mention the smell???? :) I've totally forgotten to add un-sulphured Molasses, so will add this next feed in a few days. I am just feeding with bottled water at present...simply because she's the Queen of my garden atm! 👍 Much love! Stay safe! 👍👊

Right....had a major screw up :( Added her to my small tent which had others in flower. Totally forgot to reset the tent when I added the other two plants. This resulted in the plants turning hermie due to the pollen left in the tent from the bananas on the previous grow. My ignorance and inexperience has led me to this. After nearly two weeks in flower she looked lovely but had clearly been compromised from the remaining pollen in there. You live and learn! Before I cut her down I took two clones. I will wait for one to root but just in case they not take, I have popped another seed.

Previously on Growdiaries.... *Tent hermied due to ignorance of newb grower!* Oi oi...so..we have restarted....One of the clones has now rooted and the other didn't at all. The other seed has popped and I decided to run Monsterbud on her too! I transferred her to a 1.5L square pot with all mix and a light water with roots excelurator. I will have to wait 2-3 weeks for her to revert back to the vegetative stage and I will then transfer her to the main Zamnesia 11L pot. I read today that a technique called monster cropping is similar but you take clones a little later into flower -21 days. Once they have rooted and reverted back to veg, you're supposed to see explosive growth and branching. Hopefully she'll be a bigger beast! Things are looking better now! 😀 Peace!

Just cruising along in veg. The clone has now gone back into veg. The seed popped is coming along nicely. I will pot up in two weeks to wait for the nice roots to pop through. Apologies for no photos

The clone has finally come out of flower and has some crazy weird growth going on which looks kinda nice. The seed has come along very nicely and is ready to be potted up to it's final home. This will be done over the next weekend. Back on track now! Happy growing!

No photo's from this week. Potted the clone up into her 11L Zamnesia fabric pot with some budmix and dynomyco. Potted up the seedling which is currently in a 8L fabric pot. The growth on both has been very nice! Peace!

Clone potted up into her 11L fabric pot and looking nice. Added some bendz for LST and to open her up slightly. 2nd seed was potted up to a 8L fabric pot with monsterbud mix. As you can see the clone is short and stocky, whereas the 2nd seed popped is a little different. Obviously different pheno's which will be interesting to see what traits both have. I'll be flipping to flower at the end of the month.

Over the past 10 days I've seen some decent growth. Started feeding teas 8L RO water Organic Kelp Extract Un-sulphured Molasses 1 cup of earth worm castings Biobizz 1 cup of compost BB All mix BioBizz Fish Mix 10ml of Eco-thrive Charge Mixed and placed the worm castings, charge and all mix into two old socks. Used a air stone and left it to bubble for 24hrs. Came back and it was 800ppm and frothy. Added to my early flowering plants and they loved it. I watered it down to 500ppm for the girls in veg as I did see some twisting previously meaning too many nutes. The next day they were happily praying. They need another feed tomorrow. I will be flipping them to 12/12 tonight (21/08/2020) The clone has bushed out nicely. The seed I popped looks to be stretchier pheno so I'll keep an eye on her during flower. Peace!

Flipped into flower on 21st August. Gotta say they're looking awesome!!! :) The clone as predicted is bushier and the other is a stretchier pheno! Very happy with these at present. Just cruising! I'll defoliate and lollipop this coming weekend and will try to a scrog net set out. Let go!!!

Previously on Grow Diaries.... Novice grower Popped one seed and flowered her until two weeks where I felt she was compromised by nannas from my my last grow. Took a clone, binned the original plant and started again. Popped one seed just in case the clone didn't root. Right another update...2nd time around 2nd week into flower and all is looking well so far! Both the girls are praying and loving life! The clone is more bushier as predicted. The spare seed I popped is a stretchier phenotype and looks quite awesome I gotta say! 😋 Both are being fed water and Advanced Nutrients Bud Igniter for this last week and then onto normal beneficial tea's as required. Photo's are from day 16 flower. Peace!

Not much happening this week apart from developing more buds and started pack on a little weight. Just feeding PH'd RO water at present. I will move on to some PK booster on week 5 or 6. Looks awesome and looking forward to it finishing to smoke! Just chugging along nicely.

Week 4....the half way point....had I of not screwed up I would have tasted this strain already lol...live and learn. This week the buds are just packing on weight and trichomes are developing. Looking lovely and again cannot wait to smoke this! Happy as Larry...apart from one small thing...some of the leaves have started to yellow only two or three but I think it's normal. I might feed a organic tea this week and next week start adding a little PK. No pics of the seed this week as it's at the back and I can't be bothered :) Happy growing all! Peace!

Previously on grow diaries.... Original seed popped 20 weeks ago. Flipped on week 9. Thought the grow had been compromised due to rogue pollen. Took a clone and popped a new seed in case. Vegged both for 6 weeks and flipped to flower. ------------------------------------------------------ Week 21 ---------- Nothing much happening this week apart from a little fattening up of the buds. The smell has gotten a little more fragrant. Looking lovely as I've said before. The LEDs are only at around 50% intensity. I will increase this in the next few days. I have also fed a tiny amount of PK Bud Explosion. It will be coming to 6 weeks next Friday so I will do a major defoliation in the next few days to expose more sites to fatten up. I have added tome bamboo stakes to aid the branches. The clone is plodding along looking bushy and filling out quite nicely. The new seed popped looks amazing simply because it has more height and more area for buds. Stunning. Both aromas are similar but the clone seems a little more fruity. Can't wait for next week to see more progress! I will also just feed plain RO water and molasses next Friday as it will be start of flush Peace!

Had another screw up....fed her some PK-9-18...didn't check it before hand and it seems to have gone bad. Checked the next day when I noticed leaves yellowing. It had 100% gone off. It was milky as hell and smelled of eggs. Had it over a year but didn't expect it to go off so soon - reckon the heatwave did it. Anyways the plants look awful. Yellowing on week 6. I am assuming they have enough food and it's the off PK that has caused the yellowing. Oh yeah not to mention overwatering. Been watering every two - three days. Checked in the garden and saw they were drooping and maybe watered a little too much. Live and learn. I cannot see any nannas pointing out so I don't think they've been pollenated. Apart from the leaves the buds don't look bad at all. I will start flushing as of this coming Weds. I will just feed a small amount of molasses and RO water. Peace.

Oi oi....currently flushing and looking spot on at present. Fade is coming on nicely. Smell is fruity with a little bit of gas. Looking forward to smoking this after a good cure! Just feeding plain RO water. I will add some ice to this to bring the temps down this coming Weds. This will hopefully shock the plant and encourage more trichomes. The fact I've used Overdrive already kind of defeats the purpose imo but I'll do it anyway. Apologies for the quality of the pics! Everything looking great atm...branches are slightly bending due to bud weight which is nice. 1 more week and i'll chop as i need the space and need to dry and get bud pics otherwise I'll be lucky to hit the comp deadline. I could have taken it a little longer but due to timing and space I chopped. There are some amber trichomes but using overdrive you can barely see them due tot he new pistols and fresh trichomes. The buds are rock solid. As you can see from the pics I should have loll popped and defoliated more. The smell is dark berry fruitiness with a hint of gas. I am looking forward to giving it a good cure after drying and having a decent toke from it. Unfortunately I'm not sure if I will be able to cure long enough to give smoke review but we'll see if I have time as I cannot edit the entry after submitting! So far wet weights are with the whole plant hanging. I used a luggage scale right after chopping. I removed the major fan leaves also. The clone had a more densly packed structure and the back up seed had a much more superior uniform branch structure. Clone taken - 620g wet. Seed popped - 580g wet. I will add the final harvest week to finish the diary after I have dried and trimmed to get the final weights and pics. Peace!

Sup peeps! Left her to dry for 9 days at 18 degrees C with a RH of 60%. Left to cure in a glass Kilner jar for 4 weeks. I make a few mistakes when growing this and will 100% learn from them. First mistake I flowered her in a recently pollenated tent. Took a clone and grew that out. I decided to grow the clone and freshly popped seed for comparison. My 2nd major mistake was not realising another plant in the tent had thrown out 1 banana thus pollenating the crop. I've only seen 2 seeds when harvesting so I'm not sure how badly it's compromised. I cannot say it has affected the quality but the leaves were yellowing early on in flower - week 5. I put it down to dodgy PK but now think it was down to the creation of seeds taking most of the nutrients. Anyways live and learn. I would grow this again 100%. The smell is insanley intense. Smelling of berry punch with a hint of citrus fruits I cannot wait to smoke this. I cannot judge effects or taste bud will assume them for the full diary closure. Weights below Clone - (31.4+33.8+8.6) = 73.8g (2.6oz) Although bushier due to being a clone I would have thought there would be many buds. I'd say 35% is B grade slightly airy buds but 100% smokable. The rest are solid buds. I put this down to not Lolli popping enough and pollination. The smell has a more gassy undertone along with the weaker berry fruits. Seed popped - - (35.3+29.2+28.7) = 93.2g (3.3oz) This pheno had a better structure and was more open hence more bud exposure to the lights. This has a very intense berry punch smell and it smells lovely. I cannot wait to smoke this! Yes I know the trim job could be better!! I used the trim bowl machine as I'm lazy :) This is for the comp entry and although there are two plants grown here one was for comparison with supercropping clone and seed.
