COVID Boredom Garden DWC

Really just started this out of boredom so we will see what happens. I changed the set up a little since the last failed grow. The roots were clogging up the 1.25" drains so i upgraded to 2" and added a sump this time around. I'm already having roots find their way into the sump, so I'll have to deal with that eventually but otherwise I'm much happier with the flow of this set up. As expected the power plants are growing much quicker than the rest so I've been topping them and I'll probably start tying them down this coming weekend.

I changed the water and raised the nutrients this week, I'm going to start 12/12 today. Not much to report but they're growing fast, power plants are already out pacing the rest like last time.

The only Sunset Sherbert started showing some male flowers this week so I'm just down to three genetics. The other 6 are all girls (the other one I culled) and they are looking pretty good. I put the HPS in and turned on the Air Conditioner. It's exciting to be starting flower again.

Bud sites are starting to form, I've been removing vegetation from the bottom but otherwise just kinda letting them do their thing. System is running flawlessly, I should have never tried with those 1" drains, that just wasn't enough. The roots occasionally creep into the sump tank but it's pretty easy to keep in check. The ph is dropping on me everyday it seems, same for the tds. When i checked it this morning tds had dropped to 175 from 450. Needless to say I'll be changing the water tonight, still wish I had more consistency there. Mild nute burn on one of the power plants but otherwise the ladies look pretty happy.

So kind of a bad week, the fan that runs my hood went out and the tent overheated pretty bad. No clue when it happened it had been a few days since I last checked on them. The smallest super skunk closest to the LED was the worst, I cut the whole plant down. The power plant close to the HID had a few bananas showing on the top colas so I ended up cutting off about 6 tops. Pretty disheartening especially with this being the second time I've had to do this. I swear I'll never grow such a mixed bag of genetics again. The white widow, the large skunk, and the two smaller power plants seem to be unaffected by the mishap so there is some good news this week. Those plants are looking pretty good for 3 weeks of flower (the ones i hacked up not so much)

Wow these plants go through a lot of water, I am topping off the res everyday now and keeping a closer eye on the TDS. Got a little nutrient burn on the super skunk so I backed off a little with this weeks water change. Fingers crossed I didn't do too much damage.

It's been a crazy couple weeks for me i skipped a week but wow how the ladies have grown. It looks like some of the power plants in the back are definitely producing seeds, the largest power plant, the widow, and skunk seem to be okay though (Fingers crossed). I'm now only using the Micro and Bloom nutrients (125ml Bloom & 80ml Micro) but I just ran out of Bloom. Trying to decide if I should switch nutrients or just buy a small bottle of the bloom. I figure I'll only need another 125ml to finish this grow out. Some of the power plants are starting to get purple on the leaves, I'm hoping the water change helps with that. Starting to back off the nutrients a little for this weeks water change, will start flushing next. The plans are all really starting to pack on size at this point. The power plant looks and smells so much better than the last grow thankfully. The whole house smells like a garden despite venting that room directly outside. June 9th will be the end of week 9 since switching the lights over to 12/12 so were getting close. I gotta find my microscope!

Well this is it, will update with the final weights and the smoke review. I plan to make hash with the two plants that were fertilized, the rest came out really good!
