Starting some real seeds from Seedsman, finally! Day 1 Took the seed husk off of one seedling, the other seems to be struggling to I buried it a little more and have been watching closely. Day 2 Seed husk off both plants. I transplanted them into a cup, which went well. I realised however that I transplanted one a little too high in the cup for the humidity dome, and when trying to reput it a little deeper I tore about a third of the fucking tap root off 😡Planted another seed because Im expecting this one to just die. Day 3 No signs of problems from the torn plant yet.. trying not to get my hopes up but especially disappointing because it seems to be quite a vigorous plant compared to the other seedling. Third seed I started has yet to pop, but hasnt even been 24h Day 4 Still no signs of issues. In fact the damaged seedling outgrew the humidity dome and I had to improvise using a flipped over dog food container that does not let much light pass through. far from ideal. Third seedling that was planted later is just now emerging, I expect it to be fully sprouted when I wake up. Day 5 Third seed is above ground cracking open its shell (I think I seriously need to start planting them a little deeper). Other two are doing well. Plan to transplant out of the cups soon.

Day 8 seedlings are doing well but I transplanted then info terracotta pots because I was growing concerned that the cups were not adequetly drying out. Third seed has dropped its shell Day 9 All three seeds are in the terracotta pots now and watered with the root booster. Doing well. Day 10 Watered again, was unable to determine if I was supposed to continue giving the root grow so I gave one plant a full dose, one plant half, one plant none. The youngest seedling was also accidently fed some veg nutes I had stored in a container but it had seperated significantly and I poured extra water into her to make sure if any nutes went in they were hopefully flushed right out. Day 11 Watered again, the soil seems to be drying very quickly under the lights. Watered all three with root nutrient, if they are dry again tomorrow hopefully I will remember to use clean water. Day 12 Watered clean water, looking good. Day 13 Watered clean water because one of the plants is looking weird, but I wouldnt be surprised if it was the one that was damaged. Day 14 Watered with nutrient.

Day 15 watered with nutrient Day 16 watered clean water, realised today that the root and grow says for seeding, not seedlings. Awkward. Plants are doing very well though. Day 17 Upotted and watered with the transplant liquid. Shoulda done it to the older seedlings sooner although their root systems are super strong, seemed a good time for the youngest seedling although no where near as impressive roots. Day 18 Growth is ramping up in these new pots, that was the issue. Day 19 Nothing to report, growth is good. Day 20 Leaves started to droop a little today, I'm thinking it's because the humidity would spike during lights off since my main exhaust fan also shut off with the lights, now I have it set to always stay on. Day 21 Upotted the two older seedlings to 3 gallon pots. Maybe it was too early but they had a good root ball either way. I didn't put enough dirt in the pots I think though. Droopy leaf problem seems to have alleviated.

Ph is about 6.8. EC of the solution I was watering with root boost is about 2.3, my tap water is about .25 but I havent been able to fully calibrate my EC meter yet. I water every day because they are under some intense light and humidity has been low up until a couple of days ago when my new humidifier came. The only 'nutrients' Ive used on these so far are a root booster for transplanting. They of course are not going to live in these tiny pots forever, I am upotting multiple times. Final size is 5 gal pot. Ive upotted them now into 1 gallon pots, it was definitely late for the older two and right on time for the younger one. The root systems are something to be admired though, if I wasnt so scared of damaging them I would have taken some pictures.

Day 22 Still looking good, waiting for the youngest seedling to dry out to repot into the 3 gallon. Day 23 Started LST on the older seedlings and labeled them because they have a very different growth rate. #2 is an entire node ahead of #1. I started bending them both though, just using my fingers to gently and slowly work the stems to a 90° position. #1 as it isnt as developed needed a brace going the opposite direction to hold the stem up, but #2 doesnt need it yet. Day 24 Upotted #3 and started LST. All my plants runoff EC is around 9 which is.. interesting. Going to water with nothing but clean water for every plant to see what the hell is going on, because they look fine and I know what Im putting in is no where close to 9 ms/cm Day 25 Went back to the tie method for lst, bending them down every few hours didnt seem to do much besides making the plant stand itself back up. With more dirt it would be easier to tie something to binder clips but I made due and they've all got a nice bend to them. #1 and #3 still look almost identical, #2 still going strong, cant tell if its just got a head start on the third plant or if its the best of the bunch yet. Day 26 Repotted #1 and upotted #2. Should have upotted both but made the decision too late, #1 just needed more dirt either way. It also is by far the slowest growing plant and has much darker leaves than the other two, I wonder if its a delicate pheno or something. Day 27 Added some more ties with varying effectiveness, took pictures of each plants stem to show the differences. Also pretty clearly had some nitrogen toxicity going on probably from feeding so much root and grow, I think #1 is just way more effected by it. Day 28 All the girls are in their final pots now, waters #3 after transplant because the soil was pretty dry. I thought it would be the same for #1 but her soil was much wetter and root structure much smaller (only went down the pot about halfway) so I didnt want to overwater. If I had known the soil was so wet I would have waited another day but its the weakest plant anyway.

Three gelato.og's are about a month younger than the larger plant but I'm growing concerned about vertical space in my tent. I have 6' to work with and lights that I've been keeping about 20'' away and she is about 12" right now. The gelato.og's are 6" and are now in final pot.

Thank you for the answer but the big plant is actually GG#4 (sorry shoulda made that clear), although when I looked it up it said it has the same exact indica/sativa ratio and from my personal experience so far she is on the bushier side

Day 29 Didnt do much today, want to let them recover and dry out but they are all doing relatively well. #1 is what it is, it will be smaller than the others. Jacks will be in the next feeding. Day 30 Continued to tie down the main stems of all plants. #2 seems to be sucking the nutrients out if the first true leaves not just the cotyledons, I expect the Jack's feedings to fix that issue. Day 31 Looks like #3 is showing signs of nitrogen toxicity as well. Maybe that explains the slow growth on the plants to begin with. Either way they are still growing well, #3 is the largest of the bunch now. Day 32 #1's nitrogen issues have worsened and I decided to try flushing her with some rain water i had collected. It measured at about .04 EC, and the initial runoff of the flush read about 11.5. Really not sure what is causing so much salt buildup in my plants. They do have dolomitic lime mixed into the soil and my tap water has a lot of calcium I believe, I dont know if that is an issue but my tap water EC usually reads about .25 which is pretty low. #2's issues have gotten slightly worse as well, not majorly but some tips have the tell tale straight drop of nitrogen toxicity. When she dries out I will water to runoff. I expect the EC to also be above 10 and then I will flush, but hopefully it doesnt come to that. Hours later I decided to water #3 and check runoff, which was also around 10 or 11. Flushed it down to around 2, and flushed #1 with the remaining clean water I had and brought it's EC down to about 3.3 Day 33 All plants have now shown the classic clawing of N toxicity. Interestingly at different rates, but I have a feeling that can be traced back to week 2 - "Day 10 Watered again, was unable to determine if I was supposed to continue giving the root grow so I gave one plant a full dose, one plant half, one plant none. The youngest seedling was also accidentally fed some veg nutes I had stored in a container but it had separated significantly and I poured extra water into her to make sure if any nutes went in they were hopefully flushed right out." So Id guess I'm still dealing with that mistake. Used landscape staples to control growing shoots on all plants and retied the main stems to be more straight and bend at a sharper angle. Day 34 Watered #2 and initial runoff read 15.5, flushed to 1.7. Problems seem to be alleviating across all plants now that they arent being choked to death by salt. Rearranged tent to prevent heat damage to large plant. #1 has shown vigorous growth after having it's EC fixed, I am hopeful all three plants can match it's surprising recovery. Day 35 All plants doing well, not quite recovered from n tox but we're getting there I think. Probably going to be forced to flip as soon as these problems are under control.

Hi there! Yeah to me it looks like N tox. You have slighty too dark green leaves to my eye and the leaf tips are "clawing". It does not look too bad yet but still something to take care about 👌

Day 36 Nothing needed to be done today, lots of good looking growth especially on #1 now that the nitrogen problems are fixed. Day 37 #3 seems to be worsening. New growth is clawing, but it is the only plant that wasnt flushed further after being brought to around 2 EC. Will have to see what ex runoff is, but switched to 16-8 today because plants are getting big. Day 38 Watered #3 to runoff and unsurprisingly EC was about 4, so it was flushed down to 1.6. in the future I will have to make sure to have enough dechlorinated water at once to flush all my plants, or just not fuck up to begin with :) couldn't remember the last water or runoff reading of #1 so watered with clean water, runoff measured about 3.5-4 as well surprisingly, it seems to have gone up a little since it was flushed and was watered until runoff read 1.6 Side note #1 was flushed with rain water which took about half as much water to flush to desired EC from approximately the same starting value. Day 39 Watered #2 with Jack's at half strength thinking it would be ok. Runoff ended up being 3.3 so I flushed her down to about 1.04 with rain water. Saw a few pistils on one plant today! Day 40 Plants continuing to look good. No confirmation of sex yet. Day 41 Watered #2 with clean water, run off read 1.43 EC. Watered #1 with clean water as well but runoff read 2.16 EC. Flushed with rain water down to 1.14. Day 42 Nothing

Day 61 - Took a long break from this site but not from my plants. Everyone is doing well, been able to keep good track of EC as the days have past and all plants have synch'd up their watering schedules to be every other day on the same day. Day 67 - Cutting water back to every three days instead of every other on all 4 plants (gg included). Very humid here as of late, not sure if thats effecting the drying rate but will see if that helps with the dark leaves.

Had some EC fluctuations but nothing too serious, got all plants EC under control and they are still developing nicely. Switched to every third day for water from every other. 7-17 split up the plants into two tents so now the three gelatos have their own tent and 1 light each. You can barely even tell I took a plant out if the tent!

7/21 Battling a strange deficiency that has spread to one of the buds, almost positive its a calcium issue so I gave #3 a 1l of water with cal-mag. Things looking great otherwise. 7/22 cut the bud that was having strange issues and there was no mold inside. Dried it for a day, smoked the most messed up part just to see and it was fine so unless it was a heat issue I have no clue what happened. Otherwise everything is still looking great 7/23 Cut a couple of the main colas because quite a few of the trichomes were turning amber. It may have been a bit too early, bit I will monitor the rest of the plants to see how the develop.

How early did I cut these? I know they are at least on the early side of harvest ready if not a little bit before ready, but the top of the colas definitely have a good bit of amber trichomes and I was dealing with a heat issue effecting the top buds so I cut a few to test.

Judging by the red hairs, I'd say around 2 weeks. Ideally, you want 80-90% of the hairs to have turned red before harvest, unless you can read the trichs.

First grow and it turned out great honestly. Had two of the plants hermie but that could easily have been user error (mostly), and its still smokable and delicious. The one plant that didnt hermie is absolutely delicious, I would have preferred to run it a little longer but I grew impatient, next time I will definitely go a couple more weeks to add some density to them. Nothing but dirt, Jacks 20-10-20, and water and the plants turned out great. Most of my problems were from using too many nutrients before I switched to the all in one (although I have silica for late flower and a TON of ca in my water naturally) and general "I'm brand new to this" types of problems but I cannot suggest getting an EC meter enough. Saved my plants and helped me get in tune with them before I started to learn how to tell how they are doing just by looking at them.
