Chocolope - Feminized - Crop King Seeds

Kundalai Alright, alright, alright… Week One! Let’s go! The seed came from Crop King Seeds in a package of five. Only one seed went into the paper towel method in a dark room, not a drawer, no plastic, and it also dried out twice but was quickly re-moistened (and subsequently followed much more closely after the second dry out). The seed germinated in roughly three days, despite percolating anxiety about potential damage from drying while folded in the paper towel. The remaining four seeds are safely stored and waiting their opportunity to shine in the future. The sprout was planted into a store bought pre-filled tray with individual cells when it reached about ½” in length. The tray was placed into a Vivosun 36” x 36” x 72” tent underneath Bestva LED lights. The light schedule is approximately 12/12. The four leaves that are visible in the photographs unfurled yesterday afternoon. The ventilation system involves a 4” Cloudline T-Series in-line fan with an attached Vivosun 14” charcoal filter. The temperature and humidity probe from the Cloudline fan is located at the same height as top of the sprout. The in-line fan is currently supported by a small iPolar F801 clip on, two speed fan. To date, the sprout has received approximately 100ml of water mixed, as directed, with Remo Supercharge Kit nutrients. The soil remains moist and is 76F. Thanks for stopping by! Kundalai Whoa! Week two – Lets Go!!!! Basic Update: The plant itself appears very healthy. It presents as most nurtured plants in a semi-influenced environment, in that the leaves, stem, and overall appearance support adequate water and nutrition. There are no signs of disease, pests, or nutrient deficiency at this time. Report: Height – 3 ¼” Wingspan of 2 most mature leaves – 4 ¼” Disease – no evidence Pest – no evidence On day ten, the seedling was transplanted, with great care, into a 4” pot. It was watered gently and then supported with a strictly conservative feed mixture in small batch the following day. The water has been (generally) tap water that has rested to allow chlorine evaporation. The past week has proven consistent in terms of temperature and humidity inside the tent. Daytime and nighttime temperatures ranged from 87F to 66F throughout the week. The low nighttime temperatures were likely correlated to unseasonably cooler and unpredictable regional weather systems. Presently the ventilation system is robust. It is anticipated that all fans will be severely tested in July and August. Research and procurement to enhance cooling and ventilation are underway. Kundalai Week Threeeeee!! Can't believe 34 people have checked in this baby chocolope!! WHOA!!! Lets go! Basic Report: - The plant looks healthy. Only concern (albeit from a fresh rookie), is the small stem diameter. - Topping was contemplated but no compelling information to support topping a sativa like this plant at three weeks was found. - No sign of disease, pest, or nutrient deficiency. Report: Height: 4" Wingspan: 6" The plant appears healthy. It is green, it is growing. There is likely some great potential. Reservation regarding high humidity combined with potentially poorly oxygenated roots may become relevant. Solution identified as a final transplant to larger pot. Variables for high humidity involved historic low temperatures, and carnival environmental weather vernacular like "polar vortex". In short - heat was identified as the most important factor to encourage plant growth, as a result, the environment was subject to high humidity (70-80%). Instances of high humidity were countered with the ventilation system with great effect. However, it is clear that a more efficient pot would be preferred in order to facilitate root maturation. Future grow attempts will not include plastic pots. The plant was fed once, mid-week, at 100ml. Foliar spray (VeloKelp + MagNifiCal) mixture contemplated ad nauseam, and will be administered early in week four. Topping was also a high confidence event believed to occur. However, no compelling argument was digested to support topping an indoor Chocolope at three weeks.
