It starts with a new adventure. This is the second genetics I try to grow and the first time I use this seed house and seeing the rest of Fast Bud's diaries looks very promising. I will give everything myself to get the best results.
I will also use the Biocanna strain for these plants but in a different way than I used it in Chemdogging and without following what the producer recommends on his chart because I have noticed that using those values the nutrient concentrations are really exaggerated. I'm also trying a new type of pre-fertilized soil and I don't want to burn the plants. Only during the first weeks I use Advanced Nutrients products as a root supplement because they are really amazing and the results are visible with every application.
The start for now is very promising. In the first 18 hours of soaking the seeds have almost opened and in the next 18 hours the roots have ticked off. In 3 days it was already looking for light.💪
Everything is running smoothly and the plant seems to be growing very fast.
Also this week I continue with Biocanna in a dosage below the guidelines and seems to have a better effect. I have done two waterings, keeping an average of one every three days and dividing the nutrients from the roots. I will soon be topping up the pots to stabilise the plants better and to remove some of the initial seed detachment. I used a support for this plant, but this is the first time I have done this and I don't know what results I could get. The support measures about 60cm and I hope to reach this height and exceed it.
Everything is going well, the humidity and temperature values are stable and correct. Everything looks good.
Really amazing Californian snow. The plant is growing in a crazy way, the leaves are already giant and the color is perfect. You can see it growing every hour!!!
The nutritional plan I have prepared is like the Blackberry, increasing the ec of the solution every week and wetting it every three days but it seems to be working better on this plant. I topped up the soil and cut the first stage of branches. It's the first time I've done this but it seems to increase the yield in the upper buds, so I wanted to try it on this plant which is much more vigorous.
I'm very confident with this little girl of mine and I hope she doesn't disappoint me.
Another week of vegetative growth that went like gangbusters. The plant continues to grow scary hour after hour. The leaves are already bigger than my hand and we are still at the beginning.
The first smells are starting to come in and they are really intense and pleasant. You can smell notes of citrus fruits similar to grapefruit mixed with an intense smell similar to gasoline.
Throughout the week I have been irrigating every three days with the nutritional plan that I am developing myself and it is working really well.
By now I think the vegetative phase is coming to an end as you start to see even the small pistils sprouting on the plant's internodes.
I continue to be very confident in this little girl of mine and I think she can really become a great lady.
First week of flowering and I'm getting scared. This plant is growing like crazy and you can see a branch lengthening from hour to hour, measuring it I noticed that it has taken almost up to 15 cm per day.
I am really amazed at how this Cali is doing and I am worried about the space I have available as it is not the only plant I am growing in my closet.
The nutritional response I have got from this variety is really satisfying, it seems to have no deficiencies and the growth of the leaves and branches is impressive as you can see from the photos. From now on I am watering once every two days because the plant evaporates quickly and the pot is small. I already imagine that weaving roots will be in it. I am still raising the EC values from week to week and it seems to be an effective method that I will continue to use until just before washing the roots.
I can't wait to see how this queen of California will evolve. Everything is going great. The first signs of the flowers start to show, the plant doesn't stop growing and the smell it gives off is a very good thing. I really think it's going to be one of the best plants I've ever grown. I'm really very pleased.
Another scary week for this Cali. It's growing out of all proportion and I don't really know how to contain it anymore. In two weeks this plant has more than doubled in height and volume. By now we are at the meter and it will surely grow again.
The nutritional plan works perfectly apparently apart from small problems with the initial leaves but I think it is because the plant is too big. I water twice a week and I have raised the EC values again and added some flowering stimulator. The smell is starting to get really intense and interesting. The buds start to form and also the pollen starts to sprout on the leaves.
It's really great this plant, it is now the queen of California and I can't wait to see how it will express itself in bloom.
The snow has come!!!!
Still a really busy week. This fall never stops growing. By now it's at five foot fifteen and you can see pollen everywhere. The flowers are also developing at a good pace. The summits are compacting and swelling very well. The smell is wonderful. A mixture of lemon and a fragrance similar to gasoline.
Nutritionally everything is going quite well. You can notice some deficiencies on the lower leaves but I am continuously raising the EC values of the solution and hope it doesn't get any worse. Soon if everything is still going well I will make some cuts on the thicker leaves as I was advised in the comments.
By now the end is near and I think in a couple of weeks I will start the root washing as well.
I am really very proud of this plant and how it is developing. I can't wait to try it.
I'm starting by apologizing for the pictures from the past few weeks that maybe didn't look so good.
Eighth week that's not quite over. The floral development is not bad but on a nutritional level I had some problems with the EC calculator pens that got a little high. I have solved the problem and hope everything returns to normal.
Apart from these problems of essential nutrient deficiencies the buds are growing really well, the pollen development really looks like snow falling and the smell is getting more and more intense.
I think I had these problems because with the sensor not working well I gave less nutrients than this Cali needs and with the fact that I was constantly raising the nutrients this problem was immediately noticed with the loss of some leaves in the lower part of the plant. But as soon as I solved the problem and noticed the error I noticed a clear improvement and as I said before I hope that everything will work out better.
Now it will not be long and I think that with 11 to 12 weeks maximum I will harvest everything.
The Queen is recovering quite well this week and I'm making up for the shortcomings I had last week. The peaks are growing at an accelerated rate and are full of pollen. The smell is really inviting and makes your mouth water.
Nutritionally it is recovering well and the problem I think was the sensor of the pen, in fact now increasing again the EC values even the leaves that were about to die are regaining color and vigor, the buds also seem to have started to swell again very well.
All the signals that this Cali expresses make you think really positive. I can't wait to see how it will end.
Ten weeks and the end is near.
I was able to keep the nutritional values stable, as the leaf was not getting any worse, but on the contrary it started to develop the buds much better and to swell even more.
I also started with the root washing and I think the next week will be the last week for this snow queen.
It's really impressive to see this plant and to be close to it, it's the biggest I've ever grown so far and I think it's not a poor yield at all. The smell is really intense and very citrusy. There's a lot of pollen and it looks like it's snowing on the tops.
I'm really very excited and I can't wait to smoke this beauty.
Eleven weeks and we're at the end. In the next week I think I will collect and the last things I will do will be giving frozen water the last few days to try to see if the pollen yield will increase further.
The buds are really big and many beautiful to see, all covered with pollen and also the adjacent leaves are full of it. The smell is intense and more reminiscent of citrus fruits and lately also the sweetness of candy. In these days it has intensified even more than the last few weeks and it is very penetrating, just getting closer makes it stay on your clothes.
Everything makes me forebode to some really deadly high that will literally transport me on another planet. I'm very excited and really stunned by the production and quality that FastBub auto-flowering can achieve.
I start immediately apologizing for not respecting the week in updating the diary, but with work and looking after the plants I had no time.
Now it is the end and I have collected everything. The experiments with ice water went really well and the pollen yield has increased again. The plant is spectacular and I am very proud of my work and what I have achieved. The buds are very compact and smell really exaggerated.
This Cali I cleaned it all out of the excess leaves apart from the sugary little ones and left it in whole branches and hung it on a clothesline that I am leaving in a dark room with the values checked at least for the next week so that I can start a new cycle. But the smell is just too much!!!!
Great FastBud and sure I'll be making more varieties soon.
The monkey has now burrowed on my shoulder and the desire to try this delight is more and more.
Two endless weeks waiting for everything to be ready but it was worth it.
Everything hung with controlled values around 55% humidity and a temperature of about 26/27 degrees.
