Photos are of Day 57 for both.
Plants were under 18 hours of light for the first 6 weeks.
I'm really starting to drool over the Anubis. 😋😍 Getting real frosty and starting to dense up. No swollen calyxes or orange hairs yet.
Smells are very fruity and very pleasant. My brain instantly says "dank nugs". 👍 31 Inches
The LSD is gonna take a week or so more, so not much to show as of yet. I'm excited! 33 Inches.
Hard to describe the smell other than a bit fresher/smoother than the Anubis.
I apologize in advance: I turned the LED light to Veg to take the pictures. If anyone has tips for taking pictures w/o grow lights on, I would love to hear.
I will try to do some research myself before the next photos are taken.
Oh God the wait is killing me! I had to go out and "procure" just so I wouldn't touch the Anubis...
Anubis has 30-35% orange hairs now and is moving right along. 😎 Calyxes are poppin' and oozing with resin. Hoping this one will finish out within the next 7 days;
I can give it to the 15th or 16th, but that's about as far as I can push it.
LSD is ripening up nicely. I'm starting to see the typical bud structure for this strain. I may have burned this lady a little by under feeding. I was a bit cautious of overfeeding and will now know for the future. 👌
I'll also point out here: Very little trimming or defoliation occured to these plants. On the LSD the the branches furthest down were removed as well as a few fan leaves no longer getting proper light.
The Anubis had only the lowest branch removed as well as a few fan leaves.
At this point the Anubis is letting off a sweet funky fruit smell. The LSD no smell.
Haven't smoked much yet, but it's pleasant. I crushed one of the first dried buds and the smell was bubblegum (very specifically Dubble Bubble) and skunk.
I woulda named it Bubblegum Skunk for sure! Buuuuut, that's just me.
The buzz is mellow and always seems to put a smile on my face. Definitely falls on the indica side, but not incapacitating.
Nugs were particularly sticky. Not super glue sticky, but all the buds became one chunk kinda sticky.
I've had Bubblegum and Ak-47 before; never had The Chronic. Definitely catching the Bubblegum from this plant, and not so much AK. If it's there, its faint.
I like the buzz, but it's not entirely my cup of tea. I was worried the buzz didn't have much character, but after trying more a few days later I was pleased to confirm Anubis has a vibe of her own.
I'll start off by mentioning I should have trained or trimmed the plant a bit to make a better canopy. Having said that, I'm very pleased with the end results from this plant. Pyramid seeds are true to their word and genetics!
This plant was very easy to grow. Seed soaking in a paper towel to trimming in 70-72 days. I could have gone another week, but I would have most likely started to see degrading trichomes, and well, I needed medicine.
I'm hoping for 2 ounces dried. I'll have weight results and a smoke report after cure. I apologize for no wet weight. I only have a small double decimal scale and it's currently at a friend's house.
Any questions or comments? Don't hesitate! 👍
@Jef79,
Really appreciated, dude, thank you! 😭😊
I've got about three years of experience under my belt, but this is the first time I've grown for MYSELF!
I'll keep everything updated as necessary. Be on the lookout for Advanced Seeds Somango, Seedsman Northern Lights, and Dr. Krippling's Super Skunk (all germinated and going now!).
Nice! Those look amazing! I did a photo Anubis my last one and it did great! I've got some autos of this and a few others to start after this run. Haven't done autos yet so I'm excited.
