Transitioned to TopoGrow Hydroponic 48''X48''X80'' High Reflective Mylar Grow Tent with 200W LED Grow Light Full Spectrum, and 6'' Inline Fan Filter. Seedling is lime green in color and is drooping slightly. This may be either due to mild shock from change in environment or overwatering as I have been frequently topwatering/cycling water through pebbles in attempt to stabilize pH. Now that pH is stable, top watering will be minimized to allow for health root growth. 5/2- she has responded well. Leaves are looking darker and roots have begun shooting out of the WaterFarm chamber. 5/4 the week overall went well. Plant transitioned to true veg on 5/1. Will continue to increase feeding as appropriate

Is it suggested that I grow with more than just the GH Flora Series (e.g. add Floralicious, Diamond Nectar, Cal-Mag) etc.) with my setup. I am using WaterFarm Hydro Single with ~150 ppm well water. Would like to produce some scrumptious buds!

hey there , keeping it simple is the best solution for sure , but diamond nectar is a great thing and you always need cal mag, floralicious is good too but it changes the taste slightly , not in a bad way but it's a thing ... The main idea is to properly understand the timing and the function of the additional nutrients so that you dont harm the plant : it's much more important to reduce stress in flower than to feed a lot of nutrients. Hope this helps ! 🚀

Currently 3rd week from seed: What’s everyone’s opinion on my current ~65 F temp and 47% humidity? LED is not raising 48x48x80 temp. “Okay“ temp range OR would you suggest to supplement with space heater/aquarium heater, etc.

Assuming that your leaf temp is about 63F, that gives you a VPD of 0.97. A little above the desired range for seedlings. That range is 0.4-0.8. If you can push the humidity up into the 50s it will your plant won't have to work so hard to grow. I strongly suggest you get VPD spreadsheet. You can find one here: https://pulsegrow.com/blogs/learn/vpd You will need a cheap IR thermometer to measure the temperature of your plant's leaves, but it well worth it.

~1 month from seed and she’s growing great! Feeding has been slightly increased and I have begun some light LST to promote further growth at 3rd node with all this free time I have during COVID. Plant has yet to show any significant deficiencies/burn symptoms. The pH had been kept in range of 5.4 and 6.2, generally stable. Temp 64-68 F with 45-48% humidity. I have attempted to add water buckets to increase humidity, with little effect. Have been spraying plants with H2O. Had a casualty on 5/9: had to cut a fan leaf of the 4th node💀 5/11: plant topped for first time. Star of Main-lining/Manifolding Process. I will be following Nugbukets version of Main-lining.

Made a purchase for some clip on fans.. but they’ve arrived and are non-oscillatory. 😑😑😑 What do we think return them for oscillating fans or keep and just move them around/set them on a schedule.. 😫

Looking for advice from all the experienced growers out there! I will be topping to create a “mainline“ in the upcoming week. Suggestions to take in Nebula vs Nugbuckets approach? 1 Northern Lights strain in 48”x48”x80” grow tent (~37” vertical grow space), Hydro, 1200 LEDX

Hi there nugbuckets is far better at spreading energy evenly throughout the plant, its mt preferred way, where nebulas is also great little less time spent on training, so if time aint a issue for you id prefer nugs method.

5/13 NL was topped at end of week 4. Fan leaves and growth tips removed below 3rd node. LST to 3rd node growth tips and fan leaves. She is looking to be handling everything very well. 😁Reservoir water is stable. Fan leaves wrinkling due to LST and fast growth.

Nugbuckets mainline for largest plant: to get a larger mainline plant I would wait for my plant to grow out 4 nodes then top to 3rd (for my second topping).. correct? Also when should I remove my fan leaves from my 3rd node? They’re large than my hand atm.

The main reason for initially waiting with the first topping is to allow the plant to have an established root system and reduce any stress. For the second topping, you would do it as soon as possible (i.e. the 4th node has grown away from the 3rd for a safe topping) - otherwise you're just wasting time the plant has grown. As for the fan leaves, they power the growth so I only cut them once they are getting in the way - removing the growth tips is the important thing. Good luck whichever way you go.. it's all about building up experience.

The future lies with more LST once tips grow out and after the 3rd topping to complete mainline. What’s the prognosis? Should I continue with light LST once grow tips grow out, wait, or no bother. 4 days since injury 1 of 4 fan leaves “stunted”

Thank you! If you don’t mind explaining a little more:🙏 -Can you provide an estimate of long should I wait or what I should expect to see before continuing with LST on that branch? -Should I use tape/other to support the branch prior to LST in future?

This is my 3rd year growing. I’d consider myself a novice but I’m continuing the research and decided to up my game this year! I purchased a grow tent kit and wanted to hop on on grow journal to get everyone’s input. I will be trialing Main Lining/Manifolding this grow with a photoperiod female Northern Lights seed from i49. Goal is to fill my 48”x48”x80” grow tent with this one plant.. we will see how it goes! Hoping to have some people hop on and follow this journey. Tips and comments are welcome!

@CapeShark, haven't tried it myself, but there are some videos available on this product that may let you fill your space: https://tip-pot.com/ It's called "Tip Pot."

@CapeShark, flushing causes water shock , you're probably better off with just a touch of runoff instead, like 20% max, just the once. if you're doing everything well you probably dont need to flush ever, let alone weekly , hope this helps ! 🚀

@CRiSPrGrow, great! Welcome to the journey! She has responded well to the reduction in frequency of top watering and slow introduction of nutes. Leaves are looking little darker in comparison and white roots have begun shooting out the bottom of the WaterFarm growing chamber. Right now, I am considering whether or not it is appropriate to continue with the planned weekly-48 hr flush (tomorrow-Monday) as everything is looking great. Ppm is currently 280, pH 5.89 and generally stable. Goal is to increase ppm to 300-400 this upcoming week to begin "true" veg as first set of 5-bladed leaves have presented themselves. Planning to top her in ~10 days depending on how fast she is growing to begin the Main Lining process. Also, have some Orca mychorrizae and KoolBloom en route. Will introduce as appropriate.

@BladeCutter, coming in hot with the new research and great ideas! Love it! I am going to consider both of those options in the future. VDP sounds like the next level of monitoring but I am going to keep rocking it "Old School" for now. Those "Tip Pots" look incredible and would probably be ideal for my set up in the future. I'm liking @MadeInGermany and @CRiSPrGrow 's approaches for now and will continue with spraying the plats ~6 times a day. 👌 Growth may be a little slower but we will see how she responds.
