Just watered it once this past week. About a small water bottle's worth on Tuesday. Watered it earlier today (Saturday, May, 2). This is the beginning of the second week. The weather will be hot so I am going to be watering a bit more frequently, but smaller amounts. I typically start watering every other day around this time of year because the temperature will start to pick up to high 70s, early 80s. This week the temperature went up to 97 degrees fahrenheight or 36° celsius. The background plants I've been developing in the video have been growing since December 9th, no lie...I thought they were going to die because of the cold, buy there they are.
Has someone out there used chillis to make a treatment for bugs (i.e. caterpillars off by habanero...😁) ? I don't know? I want to use something organic preferably.
That's it. Thanks.
I have been trying 2tbsp cayenne pepper powder + 2tbsp garlic powder + 1 tsp dish soap + 1 quart of water
Not all that sure it's helping, as I am slaying caterpillars on my Sour Diesel plant daily.
Really cool to watch an outdoor Sour Diesel grow with no topping/LST... as I am chopping the crap out of mine.
Out of curiosity, what growing zone are you in?
@@Sonoma_Sungrown, I'm considering covering the plants during peak summer with a pop up canopy to minimize heat stress. They can take they, but they require constant watering and may still droop on you.
@@Sonoma_Sungrown, having issues with caterpillars rotting my buds. Ugh. On the upside, the leaves are super sticky with resin. It looks like it will begin entering it's window of viability in about three weeks or so...I don't want to harvest prematurely...
Gotta love me some Humboldt Seed Company Seeds.. Growing their Notorious T.H.C. for my very first growing experience! Come check it out! Happy Growing!
@Nor_Cal_Kannabliss, Same here. I tend to just grow from the seeds I have, but my friend gifted me this one as a seedling. Your plants look spectacular. Outdoors; I am dealing with caterpillars and some lurking condensation that burned the leaf edges when the sun hit it. Didn't notice until after it happened. Shaking them early every morning. The caterpillars are just part of nature. I don't screen them because I want plants that can handle the environment; this way I can more easily select varieties/genetics for my outdoor grows.
@RADE245, It sounds like she's getting close!
In looking at your plant, she still has quite a few white stigma.
Have you checked her trichomes under a loop or microscope yet?
