Growing 4 strains for my first ever grow. This specific Diary will be for Barney's Farm Purple Punch Auto
Day -4:
Soaked the seeds for 24h
Day -3:
Seeds soaked for 24h and all sank to the bottom saturating the seeds.
Mixed Canna Coco Plus+ substrate with 5% Perlite. Then proceeded to wash even though the Canna Coco Plus+ comes prewashed I wanted to make sure and also get it nice and moist.
Once the water was soaked through I took my fist (with gloves on) and compacted the soil to squeeze extra water out.
With a sanitary glove on (no powder) after draining then i proceeded to loosen back up the substrate so it was nice and fluffy. Also to remix and distribute the Perlite evenly as seen in the next photo
Placed pots in grow tent and soaked up any excess water draining from the side.
Placed non popped but pre-soaked seeds into the pots about 1 inch down and gently covered with coco. Placed humidifier in tent and set to 60%. The reason why I did this instead of the paper towel method is because I did not want to risk transporting them once the taproots were already out and placing them in damp loose soil and slightly covered achieves the exact same effect without any downside risk of transporting them. The drawback is I wont know if any seeds are duds for about a week but that is not a very large risk. Plant health is paramount.
Day -2:
Nothing to report. Humidity level and temperatures holding steady. Lightly sprayed the top of each pot's substrate. Substrate is still moist, don't want to over water and kill the seedlings
Day -1: Very gently misted the top soil and a few drops of water
Day 1: She's finding her legs and about to take a peak of her surroundings (reordered days so day 1 was the 1st day of the sprout being above the soil substrate)
Day 2: PP's looking great, nice and healthy. Fed her 1ml of water from a plastic syringe of just my standard ph8 water.
Day 3: PP's looking great, nice and healthy. Fed her 1ml of water from a plastic syringe of just my standard ph8 water. (same as yesterday). I believe she is the healthiest looking of her 3 other sisters.
Day 4: Soil was drying out a little on the periphery. Today is my first day of feeding, also my first attempt doing so ever. I'm attempting to mix a very light solution while bringing down the PH to within range. I mixed in Canna A+B + Rhizo and a tiny bit of Magnesium and Calcium with a EC of 0.7 and a PH of 6.2. I'll be monitoring the seedlings closely. I worry that my EC is slightly high by 0.1 or 0.2 EC.
After about 10 hours since there was no runoff from the substrate I elected to water again. This time i only did Rhizotonic 2mL/L (4L total, 1 Liter per plant) with a much lighter EC of 0.4 (my water is 0.3) and gentle PH 5.8.
Day 5: All the girls are looking great. They seem to really be enjoying life and their Rhizotonic (2mL/L 5.8ph 0.4EC) which they got again today
Day 6: Nothing to report today. Looking healthy. The soil is nice and saturated so no watering today. I'll update tomorrow with a new picture to end the week.
Day 7: She's been getting bigger. Her medium is still nice and saturated so i elected not to feed any Rhizo today. Tomorrow being the 1st day of the 2nd week I'll be feeding a bit more than just Rhizotonic. I also lowered the light down 10cm to 80cm total height. (from 90)
Purple Punch Diary
Week 2: (all measurements per liter) - I'm using Nitric Acid for my PH down (Will switch to Phosphoric Acid during Flower)
Day 8 - Fed the girls a very light mixture 4 liter bucket of water (1 liter each) consisting of 1mL canna-coco A / 1mL canna-coco B / 2mL Rhizotonic / 2mL Cannazyme / and 0.5mL of PH Down to bring my levels to PH 6.0 / EC 1.0
Day 9: Fed the girls this time only 500ml of water each (2liters total for the day) - 1.25mL canna A / 1.25mL canna B / 2.5mL Rhizo / 2mL Cannazyme / PH 6.2 / EC 1.0
Day 10: Rotated them all 45 degrees - Same feed as yesterday - 500ml of water each (2liters total for the day) - 1.25mL canna A / 1.25mL canna B / 2.5mL Rhizo / 2mL Cannazyme / PH 5.9 / EC 1.4
Day 11: Stepped up to 4L of water (1L each) - Ratio's per liter - 1.5mL canna A / 1.5mL canna B / 2mL Rhizo / 2mL Cannazyme / PH 5.9 / EC 1.4 --- Also made a foliage spray of 1L water (0.2 EC) and 1mL Rhizo, brought PH to 6.1. Sprayed the underside of all the leaves, then the top sides. I let sit for a few minutes then gently blotted only the tops of the leaves as to not magnify the light intensity on them. I also brought down the LED light from 80cm to 70cm - All are looking healthy with nice growth.
Day 12: 4L of water (1L each) - same amount and ratio as yesterday - 1.5mL canna A / 1.5mL canna B / 2mL Rhizo / 2mL Cannazyme / PH 5.9 / EC 1.4 --- Used the left over foliage spray i made yesterday, the PH has crept up to 6.3 which i think is still fine. Will probably make new next time. After i spray the UNDER side of the leaves i make sure to take a dry soft paper towel and gently get any droplets on the TOP of the leaves so they do not magnify the light and burn them. I also lowered the light from 70cm to 65cm today (eventually 60cm will be where its headed in a day or two). Just want to get them aclimated slowly and methodically. They all have a faint wonderful smell now, each unique in its own right.
Day 13: Two feedings today, I wasnt getting much run off the past two days so i wanted to make sure to get plenty this time to flush out any salts and make sure the large 5gallon(20liter) pots are nice and saturated. First feeding in the morning a few hours after the LED popped back on from its timer. --- 4L water with a EC of 0.2, added Calcium and Magnesium seperately in a 4 to 1 ratio to bring the EC up to 0.5 / 2mL A / 2mL B / 2mL Rhizo /2mL Cannazyme for a total PH 5.9 / EC 1.6
------------ hardly any runoff ------- 2nd daily feeding no CalMag this time / 4L water / 2mL A / 2mL B / 2mL Rhizo / 2mL Cannazyme for a PH 5.9 / EC 1.4 --- Plenty of runnoff, will return to 1L per plant a day tomorrow and monitor the runoff amount to make sure its getting all the way through so no salts buildup. Will post a new picture tomorrow.
Day 14: 4L water 0.2 EC added Calcium & Magnesium in a 4 to 1 ratio bringing EC to 0.4 --- 2mL A / 2mL B / 2mL Rhizo / 2mL Cannazyme for a PH 6.1 / EC 1.6 -- Perfect amount of runnoff. I'm back to 1L per plant a day and 1 feeding per day if this amount of runoff continues
What a week, they've grown so fast. Each are doing great and any worries seem to be in the past and gone. I think I'm getting the feel for the nutrient mixtures and the plants seem to be responding well. Next week I'll be doing some LST for the very first time so here's hoping for that. I did use some garden wire to just hold the Purple Punch in position (no LST yet) as he was listing to the side like the leaning tower of Pisa 😂
Week 3: Purple Punch Auto
All measurements per liter of water
Day 15:
Normal feeding to start the week. All the girls are looking healthy and showing growth each day.
1L water with an EC of 0.2 (1L per plant 4L total) - 2mL A / 2mL B / 2mL Rhizo / 2mL Cannazym / PH 6.0 EC 1.4 with a healthy amount of runoff. I wont be added Calcium and Magnesium everyday as its the one thing the Coco Coir does absorb, but perhaps every 2 to 3 days.
Day 16: LST day! I think i was more stressed than the plants. However i think it was successful. No broken or crimped branches or leaves. I tried to tuck a few of the larger leaves under the newer growth as well. I also did the LST before the feeding. After LST i only fed them 0.5L of nutrient mix, i'll feed the other 0.5L that they normally get a little later. I didnt want everything to be too much for them all at once. The mixture of nutrients was the same as yesterday water of EC 0.2 to start with -- 2mL A / 2mL B / 2mL Rhizo / 2mL Cannazyme / PH 6.0 and EC 1.4. Tomorrow I plan on giving them some Cal Mag again. -- Purple Punch is just a champ, I love the genetics although I think it might of been easier to wait a few days, maybe day 18 through 20.
Day 17: Feed /w Calcium & Magnesium today - 1L water with an EC of 0.2 Ca to Mg at a 8 to 1 ratio to EC 0.5 / 2mL A / 2mL B / 2mL Rhizo / 2mL Cannazyme to PH 6.1 and EC 1.7. Will update tomorrow with photos
Day 18: No feed today as i want to see how the coco coir stays moist for a day. In 4 days from now I'll be going way for 2 days so wont have any updates then and i wont be able to water the girls. They are in 5 gallon pots though (20 liter) so I think they'll be just fine. I'll be sure to really saturate them before i leave. One interesting note that i did in my research, i lined the top soil with aluminum foil which accomplishes two things: (1) Keeps any algae from growing (no light = no algae) and (2) it reflects some light into the more shaded covered parts of the ladies. --- Purple Punch is by far the biggest, she's just amazing in her growth.
Day 19: Normal Feed, No CaMg / 1L water with starting EC of 0.2 / 2mL A / 2mL B / 2mL Rhizo / 2mL Cannazyme to PH 5.9 and EC 1.4 (I've been trying to deviate a little from exactly 6.0 PH, from 5.8 to 6.2 range to give the plants a little more opportunity to uptake different nutrients at slightly different PH levels. -- Will update with more pics tomorrow -- PP is still the largest, i'm quite excited to see how she turns out. -- Another little note, I've really been 'tucking' the larger leaves underneath the smaller newer growth as is feasible.
Day 20: 1L water Normal Feed /w CaMg today / EC 0.2 to 0.5 after the CaMg / 2mL A / 2mL B / 2mL Rhizo / 2mL Cannazyme / PH 6.2 for maximum CaMg uptake EC 1.6. -- Wondering if the tips of the new growth are exibiting any signs of a micronutrient deficiency, Calcium is the most likely suspect however maybe i'm just over reading the plant. Thoughts?
Day 21: 1L water Normal Feed /w CaMg today / EC 0.2 to 0.5 after the CaMg / 2mL A / 2mL B / 2mL Rhizo / 2mL Cannazyme / PH 5.9 for maximum CaMg uptake EC 1.7 (trying to give the girls a nice little range of different PH). I also raised the LED light back up to 60-65cm above the canopy as they were growing a bit too fast. Thanks to @smoke24 for that insight!
Week 4 - Purple Punch Auto
All measurements per 1 liter of water
Day 22: Wow start of the 4th week. I feel like week 3 just started! So I'm going to be leaving tomorrow morning but will have time to feed the girls but not update the diary. They'll miss a feeding on wednesday the 27th but I'll be back thursday so they'll only really miss one feeding. I think they'll be just fine considering they're in large 20L (5gallon) pots. -- I'm also going to start adding CaMg to every feeding. Since they are separate and not a all in one CalMag concoction its important to note the dosage as the calcium is 15% pure and the Magnesium is only 7% pure so a 1 to 1 ratio will give 2 to 1. Now i like to keep that a bit more than that, at least 4 to 1 ratio so as to make sure all the calcium bonds to the magnesium and the girls dont get magnesium poisoning. So you'll note that the mix of 0.25mL calcium @ 15% to a 0.1mL Magnesium @ 7% brings me to just about a 5 to 1 ratio. My tap water starts at EC 0.2 and contains no chlorine or chloride to begin with. I always mix this first and let this sit a few hours and a few stirs to give time for the Ca to bind to the Mg. This brings my water normally to 0.4 to 0.5 EC. From there i mix my nutrients. The order i do them is and has always been this even though i've listed them in different orders before. Rhizotonic 2mL / Canna A 2mL / Canna B 2mL / Cannazyme 2mL and then check PH which is normally bout 7.0 at this point and begin adding my PH down which during the vegetation phase is Nitric acid (as it breaks down to nitrogen which they need more of in veg phase). When i get to flower phase i'll be switching to Phosphoric acid (which breaks down to ...you guessed it phosphorus). So after everything is all mixed i'm left with an EC of 1.6 and a PH of 5.9 (sometimes the EC fluctuates between 1.5 and 1.6 with the CaMg solution and the PH i try to let vary each feeding between 5.8 and 6.2). Another thing i've been doing has been tucking the larger fan leafs underneath the new growth that will eventually be growing their own cola's. This is a form of LST i suppose but even lower stress than that. You can see in the latest picture the plant looks a bit 'mangled' this is just from the tucking process. I've also taken a few tiny leafs and tiny branches on the very bottom of the plant that weren't getting any light and liked to lay in the dirt/aluminum foil. This has helped the airflow beneath the skirt of the plant.
Day 23: Quick update before i leave on my minitrip. I'll just be gone effectively tomorrow and back on thursday. Fed the girls CaMg to EC 0.5 then normal feed of Rhizo 2mL / Canna A 2mL / Canna B 2mL / Cannazyme 2mL to PH 5.9 EC 1.7. Hope the girls dont throw any wild parties while i'm away 😂
Day 24: Was away on a trip. No feed.
Day 25: They must of thrown a party while i was gone....they pretty much doubled in growth. From 15cm for the White widow, Critical Jack Herer, Gelato #33 to 30cm and from 20cm to 40cm for the Purple Punch! Being back I noticed that their roots were starting to come up below the aluminum foil so i've removed that permanently as its done its job of keeping any green algae at bay. They were probably thirsty with all the new growth so looking everywhere. I fed them the standard amount of CaMg and 2mL Rhizo / 2mL A / 2mL B / 2mL Cannazyme and PH to 5.8 and EC to 1.6. I also defoliated just a little bit under their skirt to take away any tiny growth near the soil and any small growth that wasnt going to get much light. Not too much as i really dont want to stress them. For the White Widow it was a leaf or two, as i'm really trying to take it easy on her. For tomorrow I plan on upping my A and B nutrients and backing off the rhizo a bit as they look hungry and ready!
Day 26: I raised up the light even more. 80cm from the top of the tallest girl (Purple Punch) as I'm seeing more of the new growth tips getting a little light stress. I assume its because they grew so fast while I was gone and grew closer than the 60cm buffer zone that I was trying to maintain. I'll see how they respond to that. I've also upped their dose of nutrients and fed them twice today to get some good runoff. The solution is as follows: Starting water 0.2 EC to 0.5 EC with CaMg in a 5 to 1 ratio / 1.5mL Rhizo / 2.5mL A / 2.5mL B / 2.0mL Cannazyme to a PH of 6.0 and EC 1.9. Instead of their normal 1L per plant today they'll be getting 2L each. Tomorrow They'll go back to 1L each and one feeding as long as their runoff looks adequate (10-20%). I've also taken out the humidifier as it was hardly ever triggered anymore to turn on. Since all the new vegetative growth the RH seems to be in the 42-50% range by itself. I'll monitor the RH value closely going forward but seeing as they'll be in flower very soon it was my intention to keep this above 30% but below 50% to keep any bud rot away. Since i've taken it out it allows the ladies more room in the middle where the light is most intense so it should even out a little bit with the light being raised so high. Second feeding was the same measurements but a PH of 6.1 and EC 1.8. Will update with pictures tomorrow
Day 27: Just started noticing they're beginning to flower! I'm really excited. To start week 5 I'll be adding Canna Boost to the mix. Today they've been fed twice (2L each plant) to make sure they are nice and happy. It's with the increased dose of A and B. The measurements were as followed: water CaMg from 0.2EC to 0.6EC / Rhizo 1.5mL / A 2.5mL / B 2.5mL / Cannazyme 2.0 mL to a final EC 1.9 / PH 6.0 and the second feed with the same measurements but final EC 1.8 / PH 6.1
Day 28: Last day of week 4. Today's feed is a bit different as I've added boost, lowered Rhizotonic and switched from Nitric Acid for my PH down to Phosphoric Acid as in flower they'll need less Nitrogen and more Phosphorus which is what each break down to respectively. It was interesting to note that it took way less phosphoric acid than it did nitric acid to bring the PH down from the regular 7 to the 6 range, this is due to the nitric acid being about 38% pure and the phosphoric acid being 80% or more on average. I fed them twice and an increase amount of boost (2.5mL per liter which i'll be dropping down to 2mL per liter tomorrow, i just wanted to get it soaked in the coco coir and hence i did two separate feedings so each plant got 2L of solution today. The values were as follows: Water starting at 0.2 EC raised to 0.5 with 1mL Ca and 0.4mL Mg / 1mL Rhizotonic / 2.5mL A / 2.5mL B / 2mL Cannazyme / 2.5mL Boost, those same proportions in both feeds. The first feed came out to EC 1.8 and PH 6.2 and the second feed EC 1.8 / PH 6.1. I dont plan on any more defoliation as after reading countless diaries on here i've come to the conclusion that it most likely hurts yields and probably should just be avoided altogether with auto's. I have been trying to tuck the larger fan leafs underneath the future cola sites however to try to get them as much light as possible. The humidity since i removed the humidifier is between 35-45%. I would prefer it to stay in the 40's but i think that 35% is sufficient and i wont be very fearful of budrot as they start blooming. Will update Week 5 with pictures to start the week tomorrow.
Week 5 - Purple Punch Auto
All measurements per 1 liter of water
Day 29 (Flower Day 1) - Everyone looking healthy, I'm quite excited to start this flowering phase. As stated yesterday (day 28) in week 4 I've lowered the Rhizotonic, changed from Nitric acid to Phosphoric acid, and added Boost. I fed them twice yesterday 2L each of solution and in that solution i have them 2.5mL of Boost per liter to get the substrate nice and saturated with it. Going forward at least for now I'll be maintaining 2mL of boost per liter of water. Today they'll just be getting 1L of solution each consisting of the following and in this order: water with EC of 0.2 added 0.25mL Ca and 0.1mL Mg to an EC of 0.5. I always let this sit for awhile and stir occasionally to give time for the water to get to room temperature and for the Ca and Mg to bind together. Then I add 1.25mL Rhizotonic / 2.5mL A / 2.5mL B / 2mL Cannazyme / 2mL Boost and about 0.25mL of Phosphoric acid to bring my PH from 7 to its final reading of EC 1.8 / PH 6.3
Day 30 (Flower Day 2) - I think they grew another 5-10cm overnight, maybe from the boost, maybe just part of their flower grow rate, either way great growth. Will post pics with measurements tomorrow. Normal feed today consisting of CaMg water to EC 0.5 / 1.25mL Rhizo / A 2.5mL / B 2.5mL / Cannazyme 2mL / Boost 2mL for a final reading of PH 6.1 / EC 1.7
... I'm updating the watering rate from 1L per 24h to 1.5L per 24 hours to better reflect the reality. Every other day i'm feeding 1L of water then the next 2L of water so it equals out to 1.5L a day.
Day 31 (Flower Day 3) - 2L of nutrients for everyone today. They sure are getting big, i took another measurement so you can see the difference in two days. Feed was as follows: Water EC 0.2 added CaMg to EC 0.5 / 1.25mL Rhizo / 2.5mL A / 2.5mL B / 2mL Cannazyme / 2.5mL Boost (up from 2.0mL, not sure which i'll stick with but just seeing how they like it for now). To a total of PH 6.1 / EC 1.8
Day 32 (Flower Day 4) - Another 2L of nutrients today. The ladies are very thirsty lately being in flower mode so i'm updating the watering volume per plant per 24h to 2L. I'll probably keep the 2L feeding schedule a day. I dont water all 2L at once, I normally feed them 1L when they wake up and a few hours later another 1L which gives good runoff and gives them time to absorb the nutrients without wasting too much nutrient. First solution was: water CaMg to EC 0.5 then 1.25mL Rhizo / 2.5mL A / 2.5mL B / 2mL Cannazyme / 2mL Boost for a final reading of PH 6.3 EC 1.8 and the second feeding was the same but the water was EC 0.4 after the CaMg treatment and the measurements but came out to PH 6.1 and EC 1.7 will update tomorrow with pictures.
Day 33 (Flower Day 5) - Everyone looking great. The Critical Jack Herer has really grown up fast, she's not the shortest anymore. The Gelato #33 is now the shortest (not by much) but has the most developed flowers. Purple Punch is still the big lady and White Widow is really doing well, she doesnt seem phased at all from her accidental topping. Everyone starting to develop their flowers (see photos). Feeding same as yesterday, 2L per plant. I did defoliate just a little bit to maximize the light to the cola sites and tucked fan leaves when possible. First 1L was the same measurements as yesterday with a final PH 6.3 / EC 1.8 and the second feeding a few hours later was PH 6.1 / EC 1.7
Day 34 (Flower Day 6) - A bit more defoliating today as the humidity's been creeping up as its been raining outside. Humidity levels peaked at 65%, since defoliating a bit and airing out the tent its down to 50% which is where i want it. Standard feed of 2L per plant today with a final reading of PH 6.3 / EC 1.8 - Pictures to follow tomorrow.
Day 35 (Flower Day 7) - Last day of the week. I added in my trellis net to somewhat help me keep the plants a bit more organized and also to get a little experience with it as next grow i intend to use it to greater effect (and earlier). It's certainly not a scrog or even a sog at this point as i started so late but it does help me keep the flowers a bit separated from each other and its easier for me to try to keep their light penetration up. The other added benefit is the fan in the back middle it allows me to keep the plants away from it somewhat. Its been raining a ton where i live and will continue all week so the humidity has really crept up, reach as high as 65% however it seems to normally be a bit below 60% which is fine for now. I defoliated although i didnt want to, to try to keep the humidity down and to maximize light penetration as much as possible. I've also bought a much larger bucket that makes feeding much easier, instead of two different 1L feeds they get 2L at once, although i do try to water them as slowly as possible. The interesting thing here is that the Purple punch i get maybe 10% runoff from this but the other three ladies i'm getting 30%+ runoff. I guess the Purple Punch is just a thirsty girl. The feeding today was the same as I'm trying to keep things normal for them since i've been defoliating a bit everyday this week. Next week i'll be lowering the Rhizotonic (the roots are at the very bottom and sides of the 20L softpot) and seeing how they like upping their A and B slightly. Their feed was as follows: EC 0.2 water CaMg to EC 0.5 / 1.25mL Rhizo / 2.5mL A / 2.5mL B / 2mL Cannazyme / 2mL Boost for a final PH 6.3 / EC 1.6
Week 6 - Purple Punch Auto
All measurements are per 1L of water
Start of week 6!
-Day 36 (Flower Day 8) - They've grown so big, I really need them to stop soon as they are getting close to the light again. I've turned down my light to 80% power (pulling 240w instead of 300) hopefully that'll help them with the light burn on the tips. I ordered a cheap LUX meter that i'll use to convert to PAR to get an approximate idea of how much light they are getting. PAR meters are way too expensive for now. I've lowered their Rhizotonic to 0.5mL per liter of water and am slowly raising their A and B nutrients, currently at 2.75mL /L but will gradually up it to 3mL per liter. Their feed today was 2L of nutrients each consisting of (remember these are per 1L measurements, so double) water EC 0.2 to 0.5 CaMg / 0.5mL Rhizotonic / 2.75mL A / 2.75mL B / 2mL Cannazyme / 2mL Boost for a final PH 6.2 / EC 1.9
- Day 37 (Flower Day 9) - So the last few days i've had the light at 80% and i think they've liked that, yesterday i was a little worried as they were a bit droopy but I believe that had to do with them still getting too much light and from the defoliation they've gotten last week. Last night I turned the light intensity down to 60% (170w pull) and when i checked today they all looked pristine, no drooping or any signs of not liking their environment. It's still raining so the humidity is between 50-60% currently, however next week I think that'll lower as the rain stops. Today for feeding it was the same 2L per plant however tomorrow I think i'll just give them 1L as out of 8L total i've had 3L of runoff (37.5%), too high and no need to waste expensive nutrients if the ladies arent using it. I did test the runoff for those curious (i dont normally) and the readings came out to PH 6.8 / EC 1.0. I've started to lower the Cannazyme just a little bit to 1mL per liter and i backed off from the A and B just a little bit based on advice from @gmslave however I dont believe they have any signs of nutrient burn as the NPK burning them would show in the old growth as well as the new growth as it is a mobile (macro) nutrient. The tips of the new growth could either indicate light burn or CaMg deficiency however i believe this is light burn as they've been getting a decent amount of CaMg everyday and their tips havent improved which points to light burn. It's a pretty intense LED and i have no LUX or PAR meter to test (lux meter on the way for approximation of PAR) but until then they've responded well from just turning down to 80% and now to 60% intensity. They are fairly close to the light now so It will most likely stay at 60% intensity or even lower if they stretch more (the light is almost at the top of the tent currently). So now that you've read that novel here's the feed solution for the day: water 0.2 CaMg to 0.5 / 0.5mL Rhizo / 2.5mL A / 2.5mL B / 1mL Cannazyme / 2mL Boost for a reading of PH 5.9 / EC 1.9
Day 38 (Flower Day 10) - 1L Feed for each lady today. They're all looking very nice and healthy same as yesterday. Feed was as follows: water EC 0.2 treated with CaMg to 0.5/ 0.5mL Rhizo / 2.75mL A / 2.75mL B / 1mL Cannazyme / 2mL Boost for a reading of PH 6.2 / EC 1.9 Will update tomorrow with more pics
Day 39 (Flower Day 11) - The ladies looking great today. They just keep getting bigger. They seem to really be thriving lately. 2L feed today as follows: water EC 0.2 treated with CaMg to 0.5/ 0.5mL Rhizo / 2.75mL A / 2.75mL B / 1mL Cannazyme / 2.5mL Boost for a reading of PH 6.1 / EC 1.8 - I defoliate ever so slightly just to maximize light penetration to the bud sights lower and also to cut down on the humidity. I aired out the tent for a good hour today which brought back down the humidity to under 60 which is what i want. It's hard at the moment because its very rainy weather but I'm hoping that passes as we move deeper into summer.
Day 40 (Flower Day 12) - Ladies looking good, not much to report today. 1.5L Feed for them though instead of the standard two as there's been quite a bit of runoff lately. Feed was as follows EC 0.2 CaMg to 0.4 / 0.5mL Rhizo / 2.6mL A / 2.6mL B / 1mL Cannazyme / 2mL Boost for a PH 6.0 and EC 1.8. Will update with pictures and measurements tomorrow.
Day 41 (Flower Day 13) - These ladies are just getting ridiculous in size! Most are indica's/kush heavy genetics so I was pretty sure my tent size would be ok at 6ft/182cm tall. So far the Purple Punch the tallest lady is 110cm tall, on Barney's website they list typically between 70-80cm for this auto. Either i'm doing something right or doing something wrong 😂. I raised the light as high as i could, basically had to mickey mouse it with zip ties and if those fail emergency twine so it doesnt fall in the event that the zip ties snap. The light is still 30cm from the Purple Punch tallest Cola and its running at 80% now (was 60% as the ladies didnt seem to like 80% and the light was too intense for being so close and their leaves would fold downward, but when i turned it to 60% they perked right back up. So we'll see how they like 80% at its new distance. Humidity is a tad high in the pics but regulates down to 60% and below with the tent closed. The rain is starting to cease in my area so humidity should be going down as well. Temperatures have been near perfect however, 18-25c (64-77f). Today they were fed 2L each with the following per liter measurements: water 0.2 EC to 0.5 with CaMg treatment / 0.5mL Rhizotonic / 2.75mL A / 2.75mL B / 1mL Cannazyme / 2.5mL Boost for a total reading of PH 6.1 and EC 1.9
Day 42 (Flower Day 14) - End of week 6 already! The ladies looking great, they seem to like the light being higher up and i've since turned it back up to 100% to try to maximize the light penetration and PAR to the lower regions, especially the Gelato #33 as she's the shortest. Today I gave them a really light feeding and 2L each as follows: water 0.2 EC to 0.5 with CaMg treatment / 0.5mL Rhizotonic / 2.0mL A / 2.0mL B / 1mL Cannazyme / 2.5mL Boost for a total reading of PH 6.2 and EC 1.6 - I'm curious how they will respond but I think well since the coco is pretty well saturated with nutrients at a bit higher readings, this will hopefully give them a chance to soak up some remaining nutrients in the medium and help rinse out any excess salts as well. I'll be raising the dose back up next week but maybe occasionally feed at lower amounts. Always check the day to day to see exact feeding measurements.
Week 7 - Purple Punch Auto
All measurements are per 1L of water
Start of week 7!
Day 43 (Flower Day 15) - Wow halfway through 12 weeks already. I'm excited and the ladies are all doing great. I've got the light at 80% power (drawing 240w out of the possible 300w) and they seem to like that best currently. When i tried it at full power their leaves would start to fold downward towards the end of the day. Still waiting on my cheap LUX meter so i can halfway figure out the PAR rating as the light seems more powerful than what the manufacturer lists on their website for their readings interestingly enough. I mixed up 9 Liters total today, 3 for the purple punch and 2 for the rest. The purple punch seems the thirstiest and always has the least amount of runoff so i wanted to make sure she got a decent amount of runoff. I did also test the runoff and it came out to EC 1.2 and PH 6.8 which i think is fine for what i've been feeding them. The total mixture this week was as follows (per 1L measurements as always) also note the A and B are slightly strange as i just did 20mL of A and B for the 9 Liters of water which came out to the following: - water 0.2 EC added CaMg to 0.5 EC / 0.5 Rhizotonic / 2.22mL A / 2.22mL B / 1mL Cannazyme / 2.22mL Boost for a final reading of EC 1.4 and PH 6.2 - Going forward I think I may keep the dose of A and B under 2.5mL per Liter as the plants seem just fine with it and their stretching and growth phase seem complete, now they just seem to be filling out the bud sights and growing new leaves here and there.
Day 44 (Flower Day 16) - Slow day today, just a regular feed of 2L each and a few leaves defoliated here and there, not much. Feed was as follows: water 0.2 EC added CaMg to 0.5 EC / 0.5 Rhizotonic / 2.0mL A / 2.0mL B / 1mL Cannazyme / 2.5mL Boost for a final reading of EC 1.4 and PH 6.2 - Will post new pics with some measurements tomorrow but i think they've stopped stretching (thankfully).
Day 45 (Flower Day 17) - Rained again all day so humidity back up near 60%. There was quite a bit of runoff from yesterday so they are pretty saturated and with the already high humidity i didnt want to chance bumping it up anymore. I'm skipping feeding them today as the medium is still very dark and saturated. They'll be getting a full feed tomorrow. I took measurements today. Gelato #33 seems to be the same height and the rest grew a little bit.
Day 46 (Flower Day 18) - Humidity still hovering around 60% but i have hope for the weather getting better. If it persists i'll be getting a dehumidifier. Fed the ladies 9L total today, 2L each and 3L for the Purple Punch as she's always the thirstiest. All had about 10% runoff. The feed was as follows: water 0.2 EC added CaMg to 0.5 EC / 0.5 Rhizotonic / 2.25mL A / 2.25mL B / 1mL Cannazyme / 2.25mL Boost for a final reading of EC 1.6 and PH 6.1 - Will update tomorrow with pictures.
Day 47 (Flower Day 19) - Finally stopped raining and the next week the weather is starting to warm up in time for summer (finally). I didnt feed the ladies today as their medium was still very moist at the top and sides. I feel that as they've stopped stretching that they've gotten a little less thirsty now. Tomorrow I'll try 1.5L feed each and see how they like that. Everyone's starting to flower with the Purple Punch being the largest but the slowest to flower. The Critical Jack Herer is looking beautiful and Gelato#33 is really catching up in flowering with White Widow not far behind them.
Day 48 (Flower Day 20) - Fed the ladies 2L each of the following nutrients: water 0.2 EC added CaMg to 0.5 EC / 0.5 Rhizotonic / 2.0mL A / 2.0mL B / 1mL Cannazyme / 2.0mL Boost for a final reading of EC 1.5 and PH 6.1 - Will update tomorrow with pictures.
Day 49 (Flower Day 21) - Happy Fathers day to all the male growers tending to their ladies out there! - End of week 7! Ladies have been hungry so I fed them 3L each today of the following nutrients: water 0.2 EC added CaMg to 0.5 EC / 0.5 Rhizotonic / 2.25mL A / 2.25mL B / 1mL Cannazyme / 2.25mL Boost for a final reading of EC 1.6 and PH 5.8 - They all look healthy and thriving. I noticed that the trunk of the purple punch is much larger than the others, which is probably why she's the tallest. I think Barney might be wrong on their genetics as she looks way more sativa than the indica that they note. Oddly enough its the Critical Jack Herer that's suppose to have the lone (most) sativa genetics of the group and she looks the most indica from her leave profile. Check out the pics, more to come for week 8 and i'll take measurements tomorrow to start it off!
Week 8 - Purple Punch Auto
All measurements are per 1L of water
Start of week 8!
Day 50 (Flower Day 22) - Fed the ladies 2L each today. I raised up the LED another 5cm or so (seriously cant raise it up anymore). For my next grow i might be getting a taller tent, my only complaint about my current one. The purple punch is just too big! She's 140cm tall and on barney's website they list Purple Punch auto as an indica dominate at 70-80cm.....well this thing sure doesnt have leaves like an indica, its much more sativa like. I'm pretty disappointing in Barney's lately to be honest. I dont think i'll be growing her genetics again. A friend just harvested about 5 different barney's seeds, all photoperiods and really took care of them well and not one yielded above 2 ounces, far from it in fact. The genetics from the diaries just seem to be all over the place. On the other hand I cant say how impressed I am by Delicious's Critical Jack Herer, very suprising that this is the only diary to run this strain as its a real winner. I'll absolutely be growing more CJH in the future. The White Widow from Seedstockers has been a real trooper from the accidental topping and she seems to be shaping up well. Her and the Gelato#33 really get the least amount of attention being at the back of the tent but they are both doing great. In the future I'll be growing 3 plants maximum so as to be able to access the ladies better for more TLC and more room for them to branch out. The feed today was as follows: Water 0.2 EC added CaMg to 0.5 EC / 0.5mL Rhizo / 2.25mL A / 2.25mL B / 1mL Cannazyme / 2.25mL Boost for a final reading of PH 6.1 and EC 1.6. I think i'm slowly going to start introducing PK13/14 but not at the regular dosage (a huge spike). I'll keep you all posted. Really excited to have the finish line insight, i can already tell that the CJH will be finishing first, which is a good thing as she's one of the ones in front. I also added a small video, forgive the crappy phone quality, i tried to get all the ladies in it.
Day 51 (Flower Day 23) - Ladies fed 2.5L each today, they seem thirsty developing their flowers. Humidity down to 50c but now that it stopped raining its a bit warmer but not by much. Feed was as follows standard water of 0.2 EC added CaMg to 0.5 EC / 0.5mL Rhizo / 2.5mL A / 2.5mL B / 1mL Cannazyme / 2.5mL Boost for a final reading of PH 5.9 and EC 1.8 - I'll add more photo's tomorrow
Day 52 (Flower Day 24) - Ladies got another 2.5L each today. I added a small amount of PK13/14. I wont be adding this every day this week but every few days. Next week it'll be increasing until week 10. The feed was as follows: water of 0.2 EC added CaMg to 0.5 EC / 0.5mL Rhizo / 2.25mL A / 2.25mL B / 0.5 PK / 1mL Cannazyme / 2.5mL Boost for a final reading of PH 6.2 and EC 1.7 --- The Gelato #33 is smelling amazing, the best smell in the tent, Critical Jack Herer is starting to frost up on her sugar leaves and just keeps filling in. White widow is jugging along. I try my best to take away any fan leaves that get in the way of bud sights but its hard with the two shortest ladies being in the back of the tent. The Purple Punch just wont quit, luckily I think her main Cola has stopped stretching but i've noticed other Cola's of her's stretching, she's the least developed flower wise. Humidity is well under control now, unde 45-52% range, however since its summer its 26/27c outside but i've got the tent pretty wel ventilated with fresh air so its pretty much the same temperature at 27c.
Day 53 (Flower Day 25) - The week is moving right along. Ladies all seem having and doing well. Seems like growth has slowed down and now its all about those flower production! Today's feed was 2.5L each of the following: water of 0.2 EC added CaMg to 0.5 EC / 0.5mL Rhizo / 2.25mL A / 2.25mL B / 1mL Cannazyme / 2.25mL Boost for a final reading of PH 5.9 and EC 1.7 - Pictures to come tomorrow and some long overdue measurements. My LUX meter finally came in i'm happy to say. Readings from the tallest cola's seemed to be in the 28000-30000 range which for a white/blue/red LED @ 3500k should put it 'roughly' around 720-770 PAR which sounds good during flower. This is a bit lower than what the PPFD map that Lumatek lists but not by much and i'm willing to be its probably closer to the truth. We'll see though, regardless now that i have a good idea of things i can learn from these readings over successful grows and get use to it and the light.
Day 54 (Flower Day 26) - Did a lot of wrangling (LST) of the purple punch, not letting her go over 140cm as there isnt anymore room to move up the light. Luckily the light intensity seems good for her at the moment. I made a video of each plant, the Gelato #33 and White Widow videos are a bit shorter as its much harder to take them since the two tall ladies are in front. Feed today was 2.5L each and a little PK was added, feed as follows: Water 0.2 EC to 0.6 EC /w CaMg / 0.5mL Rhizo / 2.0mL A / 2.0mL B / 0.7mL PK1314 / 1mL Cannazyme / 2.0mL Boost for a final reading of EC 1.7 / PH 6.3 - Height Measurements were as follows: PP = 140cm with LST / WW = 110cm / G33 = 90cm / CJH = 120cm
Day 55 (Flower Day 27) - Not much to report today. Ladies looking good, everyone filling in. Standard feed today without PK, and i was in a rush so i didnt add CaMg as i normally do with every feed (i normally let the CaMg sit for an hour and stir a few times to let the Ca bond to the Mg since mine comes in separate bottles. Feed was as follows: Water 0.2 EC / 0.5mL Rhizo / 2.0mL A / 2.0mL B / 1mL Cannazyme / 2mL Boost for a total reading of PH 6.3 / EC 1.3 - Will add pics to close out the week tomorrow.
Day 56 (Flower Day 28) - Last day of week 8, cant believe we're moving into week 9. Time really does fly by, but atleast this way i'll have a lot of weed 😂. The Purple Punch is starting to flower and catch up. The Critical Jack Herer is realy filling in nicely, i think she'll be the biggest yielder. The Gelato #33 is also filling in nicely although its harder to see her, but holy molly does she smell the absolute best! Her smell is electric, very pungent aroma, i think she'll live up to her name. The White Widow is also flowering nicely but she's behind the big girl so its hardest to tell with her. We'll see how things go. The feed today was 2.5L each of the following: water 0.2 EC to 0.6 EC / 0.5 Rhizo / 2.25mL A / 2.25mL B / 1mL Cannazyme / 2.25 Boost for a total reading of EC 1.7 and PH 6.3. Starting next week i'll be adding and upping the PK dose while slowly lowering the A & B, Rhizo, and Cannazyme, and increasing the Boost.
Week 9 - Purple Punch Auto
All measurements are per 1L of water
Day 57 (Flower Day 29) - Wow week 9, getting into the home stretch (hopefully not the case with the Purple Punch!). - Different feed today than normal. Starting to ramp up the PK13/14 and lowering the A & B nutrients. Overall its less EC. Also lowered the cannazyme and raised the boost. The Purple Punch is by far the thirstiest (as she should be being a bush hedge). PP is getting 4liters and the other girls are getting 2-2.5, they all have the same amount of runoff with these amounts. The feed was as follows: Water 0.2 EC added CaMg to 0.6 EC / 0.5mL Rhizo / 1.7mL A / 1.7mL B / 0.8mL PK1314 / 0.5mL Cannazyme / 2.5mL Boost for a final reading of PH 6.3 and EC 1.4 - The plan is to add PK three times this week in slightly increasing dosages until 1.0mL then stopping until next week. I'll reassess then as i dont want to get ahead of myself. I'm still amazed just how good the Gelato #33 smells.....like a grape jolly Rancher. I cant even detect a smell off the others she's so overpowering. Anytime i try to defoliate a leaf here or there from G33 my hands feel like they are glued together. Really excited to see them all filling out and gaining flower mass.
Day 58 (Flower Day 30) - Tied town the Purple Punch again for some more LST to keep her away from the maxed out lights. Also trying to get some of her side cola's that werent getting light some exposure. Beyond that nothing to report. Ladies looking great. I snuck in a little PK today, tomorrow there will be none. Feed was as follows: Water 0.2 EC to 0.6 EC with CaMg / 0.5mL Rhizo / 2.0mL A / 2.0mL B / 0.2mL PK1314 / 0.5mL Cannazyme / 2.5mL Boost for a final reading of EC 1.4 and PH 6.5 (I'll make sure this is lower tomorrow as its at the max i'd like it to be). CJH, G33, WW, all got 2L of water today and PP 4L all with the same runoff.
Day 59 (Flower Day 31) - Update for this day is a day late. Had a busy day so wasnt able to make the update. I wrote down the feed though as that was pretty much it. Feed was as follows: Water 0.2 EC to 0.6 EC with CaMg / 0.5mL Rhizo / 2.0mL A / 2.0mL B / 0.5mL Cannazyme / 2mL Boost for a final reading of EC 1.4 and PH 6.3
Day 60 (Flower Day 32) - Dont have any pictures today as its been hectic. I'll be sure to update with quite a few pictures tomorrow. The ladies are looking good, I'm seeing a few pistils turning orange here and there on the Purple punch and Critical Jack Herer. The smell from the Gelato is just amazing and starting to ramp up for the CJH and PP as well. Today was a PK today in their feed so was as follows: Water 0.2 EC to 0.6 EC with CaMg / 0.5mL Rhizo / 1.7mL A / 1.7mL B / 0.9mL PK1314 / 0.5mL Cannazyme / 1.5mL Boost for a final reading of EC 1.6 and PH 6.4
Day 61 (Flower Day 33) - Really happy to see all the flower development from the ladies. All of them are developing their own distinct smell. It started raining again (some summer this has turned out to be!) but i put in a dehumidifier (small one) that brought the humidity to around 52% currently in the tent which i'm happy with (trying to keep it under 60%). I defoliated all of them a little bit today, taking fan leaves that were blocking cola's and any leaves that were directly on top of other leaves so as to cut down on the humidity further as i'm pretty wary of the dreaded bud rot. Maybe its just observational biased but it really seems like all of them develop quite a bit flower wise after a PK treatment. That said the next few feedings will be quite light, and ramping up the PK ever so slightly from where it has been for week 10, where I'll be stopping the PK and depending on how the ladies are doing lowering the normal feed even further. The feed today was as follows: Water 0.2 EC to 0.6 EC with CaMg / 0.5mL Rhizo / 2.0mL A / 2.0mL B/ 0.5mL Cannazyme / 2mL Boost for a final reading of EC 1.4 and PH 6.3 - Be sure to check out the beautiful frost developing on each of the ladies, i tried to get a decent picture of them all.
Day 62 (Flower Day 34) - Did a pretty big defoliation today mostly of the Purple Punch. Increasing airflow in the tent, lowering temps and also keeping the humidity right around 50%. All the ladies are looking great. Today was a very light feed, almost to help flush them out, although starting next week we'll be hitting the PK once again. The feed today was as follows: Water 0.2 EC to 0.6 EC with CaMg / 0.5mL Rhizo / 1.8mL A / 1.8mL B/ 0.5mL Cannazyme / 2mL Boost for a final reading of EC 1.3 and PH 6.3 - The ladies got 11L in total of feed, 7.5 going to CJH/G33/WW and the remaining 3.5 going to PP as she's the thirstiest and i wanted to make sure all had proper runoff as it was a sort of lower nutrient flush from what they've been getting normally.
Day 63 (Flower Day 35) - Last day of Week 9. Not much to report, ladies and environment are doing great. Feed was low, tomorrow's feed with PK will be higher. The ladies got 11L of water total, 2.5L each and 3.5L for Purple Punch. The feed was as follows: Water 0.2 EC to 0.6 EC with CaMg / 0.5mL Rhizo / 2mL A / 2mL B/ 0.5mL Cannazyme / 2mL Boost for a final reading of EC 1.4 and PH 6.1
Week 10 - Purple Punch Auto
All measurements are per 1L of water
Day 64 (Flower Day 36) - Week 10, its all gone by so quickly. Really happy with my new hobby. The girls are looking great, the smell is certainly ratcheting it up lately as well. I get faint whiffs of it walking by the tent even with the carbon filter. Today was a lower A&B / Boost and a higher PK day. I'll be doing PK three times this week then most likely stopping. I'm already worried how the harvest is going to go as the Critical Jack Herer looks 2-3 weeks ahead of the Purple Punch and I'll be needing to use the tent to dry. We'll see how this plays out but i dont see the Purple Punch finishing in 12 weeks. The feed was as follows: Water 0.2 EC added CaMg to 0.6 EC / 0.5mL Rhizo / 1.5mL A / 1.5mL B / 1.0mL PK1314 / 0.5mL Cannazyme / 1.5mL Boost for a final reading of EC 1.6 and PH 6.3
Day 65 (Flower Day 37) - Nothing to really report today. Humidity levels are ranging between 44-54% and temperatures 23-29c. Will update with more pictures tomorrow. Feed was as follows: Water 0.2 EC added CaMg to 0.6 EC / 0.5mL Rhizo / 2.0mL A / 2.0mL B / 0.5mL Cannazyme / 1.5mL Boost for a final reading of EC 1.4 and PH 6.4 - Will be adding another 1mL per liter of PK13/14 with tomorrows feed.
Day 66 (Flower Day 38) - Added some stakes for support to the Critical Jack Herer as some of her cola's getting a little too big for her to hold up on her own. The trellis net would of aleviated that but its too far down and i cant raise it without interfering with the shorter Gelato #33. All the ladies are doing great. Added the PK to today's feed, which came out to be: Water 0.2 EC added CaMg to 0.6 EC / 0.5mL Rhizo / 1.5mL A / 1.5mL B / 1.0mL PK1314 / 0.5mL Cannazyme / 1.5mL Boost for a final reading of EC 1.6 and PH 6.3
Day 67 (Flower Day 39) - Been a bit hotter here lately, battling to keep temps down, luckily the humidity has been low as well. Bumped up the A and B and Boost this feed, tomorrow another PK day and lower A/B. The feed for today was as follows: Water 0.2 EC added CaMg to 0.6 EC / 0.5mL Rhizo / 2.25mL A / 2.25mL B / 0.5mL Cannazyme / 2mL Boost for a final reading of EC 1.6 and PH 6.1 - More pictures to come tomorrow.
Day 68 (Flower Day 40) - Bit under the weather today. I'll post pics tomorrow to makeup for today. Nothing to report other than trying to keep humidity and temps down is a constant battle. The feed was as follows: Water 0.2 EC added CaMg to 0.6 EC / 0.5mL Rhizo / 1.5mL A / 1.5mL B / 1.0mL PK1314 / 0.5mL Cannazyme / 1.0mL Boost for a final reading of EC 1.4 and PH 6.4
Day 69 (Flower Day 41) - No more big amounts of PK however i will continue in small doses for about another week. Added some photo's including some closeups of the main cola's. The feed today was as follows: Water 0.2 EC added CaMg to 0.6 EC / 0.5mL Rhizo / 2.0mL A / 2.0mL B / 0.3mL PK1314 / 1.0mL Cannazyme / 2.4mL Boost for a final reading of EC 1.6 and PH 6.2 - Note that i upped the Cannazyme to help with the uptake of nutrients a bit more.
Day 70 (Flower Day 42) - End of week 10! I've decided (with the help of others) to delay any harvest of the CJH to coincide with the harvest of the others. It'll be a good education on the different stages of harvest. CJH will of course ripen first, and G33 and WW seem like they are in the same flowering position. PP is catching up fast by filling up nicely but she's still behind G33 and WW. So by waiting atleast until G33 and WW are done I'll have a good idea of the different stages. The trichomes on the CJH are about 80% cloudy on the main cola but much less on the lower Cola's so she still has a bit to go anyways. The feed today was as follows: Water 0.2 EC added CaMg to 0.5 EC / 0.5mL Rhizo / 2.0mL A / 2.0mL B / 0.4mL PK1314 / 1.0mL Cannazyme / 1.7mL Boost for a final reading of EC 1.6 and PH 6.1
Week 11 - Purple Punch Auto
All measurements are per 1L of water
Day 71 (Flower Day 43) - Week 11!!! Time really does fly and it's so nice to have the ladies with me as it does. A few changes are being made of note. First I'll be changing to a 24h light cycle. This is mainly to do with the spike in humidity when the lights go off and the temps go down rapidly. When the light is on the temps stay around 28c and humidity 50%, when its off it's about 24c and 61% humidity. So i rather error on the side of 50% humidity. Now these are auto's so arguably I could of had the lights on a 24h cycle all this time. Although i do see the merit in having a small night cycle for them and most of all for the LED light. However since its already week 11 and this grow will most likely only be going another two to three weeks I think it should be fine, maybe even beneficial to flower development. The feeds from now on will be with lower A and B and a little amount of PK until i taper off completely by the end of this week. I feel that the lower nitrogen and higher potassium and phosphorus should be more advantageous. Therefore the feed today was as follows: Water 0.2 EC added CaMg to 0.6 EC / 0.5mL Rhizo / 1.7mL A / 1.7mL B / 0.5mL PK1314 / 1.0mL Cannazyme / 1.5mL Boost for a final reading of EC 1.6 and PH 6.4
Day 72 (Flower Day 44) - The humidity and temperatures have been constant with the lights on a 24h cycle now. The humidity range is between 46-51% and the temperature's have been down as well and are around 26c currently as its been cooler lately. I'm happy that there are no more spikes happening. During the heat of the day i do turn down the lights a bit to keep the temps in control and keep the DLI down a bit for the plants for the day, they seem to be doing just fine from it. The feed today was as follows: Water 0.2 EC added CaMg to 0.6 EC / 0.5mL Rhizo / 1.7mL A / 1.7mL B / 1.0mL Cannazyme / 1.0mL Boost for a final reading of EC 1.4 and PH 6.3
Day 73 (Flower Day 45) - Trichomes still clear by a good amount on the CJH which is the furthest along, so they all have quite a ways to go, I'd say 3 weeks at the earliest. They all seem to be liking the cooler weather and constant humidity. The feed today was as follows: Water 0.2 EC added CaMg to 0.5 EC / 0.5mL Rhizo / 1.5mL A / 1.5mL B / 0.4mL PK1314 / 1.0mL Cannazyme / 2.0mL Boost for a final reading of EC 1.4 and PH 6.5
Day 74 (Flower Day 46) - Not much to report other than its raining again so humidity levels are up slightly but its much cooler. Humidity is about 55% and temperatures are way down to about 25c so according to the vapor chart everything is in a good range. I have the dehumidifer running constantly but its a tiny one so doesnt have such a huge effect on things. Regarding the light levels i turn off the light during the warmest part of the day for a few hours but stopped that yesterday due to the rain (then it gets humid fast in there without the heat). The girls all seem to be doing well just very slow growth with the exception of the Purple Punch as she's fattening up nicely. I upped their feed a little bit today to see how they like that. The G33 and WW are hardly drinking anything, about 1-1.5L and they get tons of runoff from that. The CJH about 1.5-2L and she gets the same runoff. The Purple Punch is the thirsty girl so i've been focused on making sure she's getting as much as she can drink each day with an equal amount of runoff. She drinks about 4L a day easily and is the driest come the next day before feeding time. Most likely due to her stage of flowering on putting on breadth/girth to the flowers. The feed today was as follows: Water 0.2 EC added CaMg to 0.5 EC / 0.5mL Rhizo / 2.0mL A / 2.0mL B / 1.0mL Cannazyme / 2.5mL Boost for a final reading of EC 1.6 and PH 6.3
Day 75 (Flower Day 47) - No pictures today, I'll get some up tomorrow. On some related news I've got one of those digital microscope's that should be arriving possibly by monday so i'll be able to post some good pictures of the trichomes of the ladies. I put a second fan in there as well to help with air movement which really helps put my mind at ease in regards to mold growing. The feed today was as follows: Water 0.2 EC added CaMg to 0.5 EC / 0.5mL Rhizo / 1.7mL A / 1.7mL B / 0.3mL PK1314 /1.0mL Cannazyme / 1.5mL Boost for a final reading of EC 1.4 and PH 6.4
Day 76 (Flower Day 48) - Purple Punch is really fattening up. I think the CJH is ready to be harvested but I'll wait until i get my digital microscope on Monday to confirm. The feed today was as follows: Water 0.2 EC added CaMg to 0.5 EC / 0.5mL Rhizo / 1.7mL A / 1.7mL B /1.0mL Cannazyme / 2.0mL Boost for a final reading of EC 1.3 and PH 6.5
Day 77 (Flower Day 49) - Everything is looking good with the ladies. I'm expecting that microscope tomorrow so expect some trichome pics tomorrow hopefully. Feed today was nice and light. I believe I'll keep it like this and wont be adding any more PK1314 going forward. Feed: Water 0.2 EC added CaMg to 0.5 EC / 0.5mL Rhizo / 1.7mL A / 1.7mL B /1.0mL Cannazyme / 2.0mL Boost for a final reading of EC 1.4 and PH 6.3
Week 12 - Purple Punch Auto
All measurements are per 1L of water
Day 78 (Flower Day 50) - Week 12 is here! So I've made preprations for dyring and curring the Critical Jack Herer outside the tent in a climate controlled closet. The digial microscope i bought did arrive and i checked all over CJH top, middle, lower cola's and flowers and they are mostly cloudy. She's not gotten any bigger in weeks as well. I also took a tiny nug from one of her lower cola's halfway down that's flower. Which is quite low on her. Most of the digital pictures are from that. So you can see the development of even her least developed flowers. I also vaped it and although it took a high temperature to do it, it came off pretty smooth, no chemical taste, just a little 'fresh'. The mood elevator was great and lasted 4 1/2 hours. So i feel confident in starting a week long flush. The other ladies, Purple Punch is about 3-4 weeks to go atleast, the White Widow and Gelato #33 maybe another 1-2 weeks befure their turn to flush. I plan to chop the CJH on saturday which makes for a 6 day flush which i feel comfortable about given her quality already. The feeds are split up now between the PP/WW/G33 and CJH. So without further ado the feed for the PP/WW/G33 is as follows:
Water EC 0.2 added CaMg to 0.5 EC / 1.7mL A / 1.7mL B / 1.0mL Cannazyme / 1.5mL Boost for a total of EC 1.3 and PH 6.5 (note Rhizotonic has been removed) ////// The feed for Critical Jack Herer as follows: water 0.2 EC added 1.5mL Cannazyme for a EC of 0.4 and PH 6.4
Day 79 (Flower Day 51) - Busy day for me so just the feed report:
feed for the PP/WW/G33 is as follows: Water EC 0.2 added CaMg to 0.5 EC / 1.7mL A / 1.7mL B / 1.0mL Cannazyme / 1.5mL Boost for a total of EC 1.3 and PH 6.3 (note Rhizotonic has been removed) //////
The feed for Critical Jack Herer as follows: water 0.2 EC added 1.3mL Cannazyme for a EC of 0.4 and PH 6.5
Day 80 (Flower Day 52) - The purple punch is really getting top heavy, She's starting to get her lean on. My 1 meter long stakes arent nearly long enough for her so i'm going to have to figure something else out for her. Was a very humid and hot day today so been battling that to keep temps and humidity down in the tent. Luckily only a few more days to go for the CJH so once she's out of there things should start getting more manageable. Feed today for the CJH flush was as follows: Water 0.2 EC added 1.0mL for a final reading of EC 0.3 and PH 6.5 (4 liters). /// For the PP/WW/G33 the following feed: Water 0.2 EC added CaMg to 0.5 EC / 1.7mL A / 1.7mL B / 1.0mL Cannazyme / 2.0mL Boost for a final reading of EC 1.4 and PH 6.4
Day 81 (Flower Day 53) - A few days late so here are the next 4 days that i missed of updates. I notice some discoloration on the very tops of the sugar leaves of PP/CJH/WW, it kind of looks like either too much Magnesium or Phosphorus (or lockout). I'm going to be stopping the CaMg as its close enough to harvest that i feel they'll all be ok. Also I'm lowering the feed of the PP/WW/G33 down quite a bit in preparation for the flush to come. Feed today was as follows for the CJH Flush: Water 0.2 EC / 1mL Cannazyme to EC 0.3 & PH 6.5 //// PP G33 WW feed as follows: Water 0.2 EC / 1.5mL A / 1.5mL B / 1mL Cannazyme / 1.5mL Boost / PH 6.4 and EC 1.2
Day 82 (Flower Day 54) - Preparations for the CJH harvest, will do on saturday. Feed was the same as yesterday: CJH Flush: Water 0.2 EC / 1mL Cannazyme to EC 0.3 & PH 6.4 //// PP G33 WW feed as follows: Water 0.2 EC / 1.5mL A / 1.5mL B / 1mL Cannazyme / 1.5mL Boost / PH 6.3 and EC 1.1
Day 83 - (Flower Day 55) - Feed was the same as yesterday: CJH Flush: Water 0.2 EC / 1mL Cannazyme to EC 0.3 & PH 6.5 //// PP G33 WW feed as follows: Water 0.2 EC / 1.5mL A / 1.5mL B / 1mL Cannazyme / 1.5mL Boost / PH 6.4 and EC 1.2
Day 84 (Flower Day 56) - Harvest!!!!!! Wow what a day its been! So i chopped down my lovely Critical Jack Herer and I couldnt be happier with her. She was a real champ! Infact i've even bought more of the exact same seeds for a future grow (way in the future). I wont be doing wet weight as I dont see any point in it whatsoever, I will be certain however to weight once the dry is complete. The idea is to dry for 4-7 days (whenever the twig branches have a nice 'snap' sound) then they'll be de-stemmed, weighed, and go into the jars for the curing process. Luckily the humidity is perfect right now mid to high 50's with a temperature of 80f / 26.6c which puts the dew point at a safe level. I have recirculating air as well from a low powered oscillating fan. I got up at 8am to start cutting and didnt finish until 10pm at night (i took a few hours breaks in total). My first time trimming and after awhile you kind of hit your stride. I did notice that the beginning of the wet trim was MUCH easier than the last 4-5 hours or so as they leaves were all starting to wilt and turn inward which made trimming much more difficult. So lesson here is once you chop, trim immediately if you're going for a wet trim. Once the flowers are dry i'll be sure to add a 'harvest' section with the dry weight. I dont want to do it yet as i heard from others you cant go back and edit it later so i want to be sure to include the dry weight there. - As for the 3 other ladies they are doing well. The extra room was dearly needed and they've suffered from not being able to spread out as much as they like (another lesson learned). The Purple Punch is getting so top heavy that she's really starting to fall over, however i dont have 3 meter long stakes for her so I took about 10 large zip ties and fashioned them into one larve one to kind of keep her top half together from falling over ontop of the White Widow and Gelato#33 - I tried spreading out the White Widow and Gelato as well and added stakes to the Gelato to help her stya up as well (now witht he extra room she's falling over too). Going forward I'd like to harvest them all at the same time now that they arent too far apart. So i'll be monitoring the Purple Punch and doing it that way. -- The Feed for the PP/WW/G33 today was as follows (also last of my boost so no more going forward): Water 0.2 EC / 1.0mL A / 1.0mL B / 1mL Cannazyme / 3mL Boost / PH 6.4 and EC 1.0
