Week 6 - Purple Punch Auto
All measurements are per 1L of water
Start of week 6!
-Day 36 (Flower Day 8) - They've grown so big, I really need them to stop soon as they are getting close to the light again. I've turned down my light to 80% power (pulling 240w instead of 300) hopefully that'll help them with the light burn on the tips. I ordered a cheap LUX meter that i'll use to convert to PAR to get an approximate idea of how much light they are getting. PAR meters are way too expensive for now. I've lowered their Rhizotonic to 0.5mL per liter of water and am slowly raising their A and B nutrients, currently at 2.75mL /L but will gradually up it to 3mL per liter. Their feed today was 2L of nutrients each consisting of (remember these are per 1L measurements, so double) water EC 0.2 to 0.5 CaMg / 0.5mL Rhizotonic / 2.75mL A / 2.75mL B / 2mL Cannazyme / 2mL Boost for a final PH 6.2 / EC 1.9
- Day 37 (Flower Day 9) - So the last few days i've had the light at 80% and i think they've liked that, yesterday i was a little worried as they were a bit droopy but I believe that had to do with them still getting too much light and from the defoliation they've gotten last week. Last night I turned the light intensity down to 60% (170w pull) and when i checked today they all looked pristine, no drooping or any signs of not liking their environment. It's still raining so the humidity is between 50-60% currently, however next week I think that'll lower as the rain stops. Today for feeding it was the same 2L per plant however tomorrow I think i'll just give them 1L as out of 8L total i've had 3L of runoff (37.5%), too high and no need to waste expensive nutrients if the ladies arent using it. I did test the runoff for those curious (i dont normally) and the readings came out to PH 6.8 / EC 1.0. I've started to lower the Cannazyme just a little bit to 1mL per liter and i backed off from the A and B just a little bit based on advice from @gmslave however I dont believe they have any signs of nutrient burn as the NPK burning them would show in the old growth as well as the new growth as it is a mobile (macro) nutrient. The tips of the new growth could either indicate light burn or CaMg deficiency however i believe this is light burn as they've been getting a decent amount of CaMg everyday and their tips havent improved which points to light burn. It's a pretty intense LED and i have no LUX or PAR meter to test (lux meter on the way for approximation of PAR) but until then they've responded well from just turning down to 80% and now to 60% intensity. They are fairly close to the light now so It will most likely stay at 60% intensity or even lower if they stretch more (the light is almost at the top of the tent currently). So now that you've read that novel here's the feed solution for the day: water 0.2 CaMg to 0.5 / 0.5mL Rhizo / 2.5mL A / 2.5mL B / 1mL Cannazyme / 2mL Boost for a reading of PH 5.9 / EC 1.9
Day 38 (Flower Day 10) - 1L Feed for each lady today. They're all looking very nice and healthy same as yesterday. Feed was as follows: water EC 0.2 treated with CaMg to 0.5/ 0.5mL Rhizo / 2.75mL A / 2.75mL B / 1mL Cannazyme / 2mL Boost for a reading of PH 6.2 / EC 1.9 Will update tomorrow with more pics
Day 39 (Flower Day 11) - The ladies looking great today. They just keep getting bigger. They seem to really be thriving lately. 2L feed today as follows: water EC 0.2 treated with CaMg to 0.5/ 0.5mL Rhizo / 2.75mL A / 2.75mL B / 1mL Cannazyme / 2.5mL Boost for a reading of PH 6.1 / EC 1.8 - I defoliate ever so slightly just to maximize light penetration to the bud sights lower and also to cut down on the humidity. I aired out the tent for a good hour today which brought back down the humidity to under 60 which is what i want. It's hard at the moment because its very rainy weather but I'm hoping that passes as we move deeper into summer.
Day 40 (Flower Day 12) - Ladies looking good, not much to report today. 1.5L Feed for them though instead of the standard two as there's been quite a bit of runoff lately. Feed was as follows EC 0.2 CaMg to 0.4 / 0.5mL Rhizo / 2.6mL A / 2.6mL B / 1mL Cannazyme / 2mL Boost for a PH 6.0 and EC 1.8. Will update with pictures and measurements tomorrow.
Day 41 (Flower Day 13) - These ladies are just getting ridiculous in size! Most are indica's/kush heavy genetics so I was pretty sure my tent size would be ok at 6ft/182cm tall. So far the Purple Punch the tallest lady is 110cm tall, on Barney's website they list typically between 70-80cm for this auto. Either i'm doing something right or doing something wrong π. I raised the light as high as i could, basically had to mickey mouse it with zip ties and if those fail emergency twine so it doesnt fall in the event that the zip ties snap. The light is still 30cm from the Purple Punch tallest Cola and its running at 80% now (was 60% as the ladies didnt seem to like 80% and the light was too intense for being so close and their leaves would fold downward, but when i turned it to 60% they perked right back up. So we'll see how they like 80% at its new distance. Humidity is a tad high in the pics but regulates down to 60% and below with the tent closed. The rain is starting to cease in my area so humidity should be going down as well. Temperatures have been near perfect however, 18-25c (64-77f). Today they were fed 2L each with the following per liter measurements: water 0.2 EC to 0.5 with CaMg treatment / 0.5mL Rhizotonic / 2.75mL A / 2.75mL B / 1mL Cannazyme / 2.5mL Boost for a total reading of PH 6.1 and EC 1.9
Day 42 (Flower Day 14) - End of week 6 already! The ladies looking great, they seem to like the light being higher up and i've since turned it back up to 100% to try to maximize the light penetration and PAR to the lower regions, especially the Gelato #33 as she's the shortest. Today I gave them a really light feeding and 2L each as follows: water 0.2 EC to 0.5 with CaMg treatment / 0.5mL Rhizotonic / 2.0mL A / 2.0mL B / 1mL Cannazyme / 2.5mL Boost for a total reading of PH 6.2 and EC 1.6 - I'm curious how they will respond but I think well since the coco is pretty well saturated with nutrients at a bit higher readings, this will hopefully give them a chance to soak up some remaining nutrients in the medium and help rinse out any excess salts as well. I'll be raising the dose back up next week but maybe occasionally feed at lower amounts. Always check the day to day to see exact feeding measurements.
Yoo Lith the garden looks pristine!! One can tell you did the research properly ;)) Plus the setup is top notch, looking forward to the flo phase! Good to see ya on this platform as well, keep it up - 99 donuts :P
Rumble in the jungle!! π²Wow.....coming on nicely brother and they're all developing really well π. As you say the timings going to be a little awkward with the various strains but what can you do man?
Super nice garden bud!!! π
@@Lit_1, I hear you completely bruv and let's just hope we're blessed with good conditions when our time comes!! On my first outing I definitely panicked and stopped drying way too early so I'll 100% be waiting for snapping stems this time......at least 7 days. It's about heat for me during drying so I'll see how it is nearer the time whether to leave some leaf on or not and maybe do a dry trim this time.......funny thing is I can't afford any smell leakage during harvest so I'll be jumping in me tent with me little baby and chopping her up in there!!! If I pull all the other bits out I might just squeeze in!! π
What a Fucking Beautiful Little Forest!!! ππ². All looking well bruv and I don't quite know how you're dealing with 4 ladies.....I'm just about managing 1!!
That goes for real life ladies too π
Blessings to you my brother π
@Bushbaby808, I been smoking for almost as long, 25 years but took breaks here and there....never been able to smoke my own though so i'm VERY excited about that prospect!
On the strain age i think it could vary seed to seed as even the same type of seeds will have different genetics. I think just watch those trichomes and let those be your judge for how much/little amber you want. With an Auto I suppose it wont vary as much as a photoperiod but I think because she's been healthy for the most part she'll probably be in that normal 70-75 range...maybe give or take a few days. With a photoperiod maybe it would be true as you could spend longer in veg or in flower but with Auto's i think we're actually on hard mode with getting everything right at very specific time periods and she'll do what she does in that condensed time frame no matter the conditions (just less or more yield) if that makes sense.
@@Lit_1, Love that, Cheers man!!! Like you I'm hooked on this Shit but then I've been a lover of Marijuana for over 30 years so it's about time I step up and produce my own Goodness. π Youre a dedicated Brother so I'm sure you'll be chopping up some super sticky icky Shit in no time!!
What's you views on this bruv.....I'm growing a 70-75 strain but due to a lot of LST and not so perfect conditions it could easily be 80-85 ah?
I wonder if I'd left her to just grow would it of been nearer that time scale?
@Hemporio_Afghani, Ya i've got a ton of jars in preparation for it all! Quite excited! I think its fairly safe to say i'm going to have more than 1g/w of yield. We'll see just how much.
Just looked over your babies again bruv and you've got some beauties.....Proper glad its all worked out nicely for ya!! That's gonna be a bumper harvest brother, you won't be back on here again for months man ππΏπ.
@Bushbaby808, According to the weather should be about 25c and under and 55% humidity. I'll try to keep the humidity a bit lower. Also going to be doing a wet trim. Yea we're going to have to find some good purple strains to grow for the colder winter temps!
@@Lit_1, Ahh nice man, enjoy the sticky fingerz and I hope it goes well bruv.....Will you be trimming up before drying and how's your conditions gonna be? I'm sure I'll have temps around 22-25β which I'm hoping ain't too bad but I'd love the option to go down to 18-20 if needed!!!
We can't have it all I spoze!!! π
Definitely doing a winter grow....ππ
@GrowerGaz, No worries. It's such a new light i kinda took a leap of faith getting it. However their Zeus pro 600w is pretty great so i figured these attis models couldnt be far off. I pretty much had to walk their tech team through getting me a PAR map (info wasnt on their website at the time). After our conversation they've since added it to their 'spec sheets'. So far I'm really happy with it. The ladies all seem to love it as well. Any other questions regarding it dont hesitate! I'm growing in a 90x90x182cm tent (3'x'3'x6'). You probably can get away with 4x4 foot tent but i wouldnt go any bigger.
@GrowerGaz, Ya 100%. I just adjusted the height. I last put the distance at 65cm but now they pretty much grew to 60cm distance. I'll try to maintain that. When they were seedlings and the distance was more like 90cm I think i experimented with 60% and 80% but i changed it quickly to 100% mainly for the warmth. Also have a humidifer in there, 60% when they were seedlings, now i let it be around 50%. In flower i'll drop it to 40% or slightly below. I also have a mini fan on top blowing on the LED which keeps it 'luke warm' to the touch, without it its pretty hot (it is a heatsink afterall).
@@Lit_1, But, the others are behind so who knows what's gonna happen with them little fuckerz!! Crazy when you think of her stretch and slenderness that she's produced such fruits......Wicked!! Chuffed for you bruv ππ
@@Lit_1, Hahaaa, indeedy bruv!! You're in for a bumper bush of buds.....great work my friend, real good to see them all doing so well and not far off each other it seems!! π
@Bushbaby808, Yea she's loving life! She's so close to the light but i think she enjoys it, cant really detect any light burn on her now that she's in full flower mode. She still looks about 3 weeks out I think at best though. I had a goal of 200grams total from my grow, but i think this hedge might give me that just by herself!
@GMSgrows, Thank you bredren! I really appreciate it. I'm quite excited to smoke what I've grown for the first time in 30 years of herb smoking. Can't believe I haven't done this sooner. What a great relaxing hobby!
Dude you killing it. That PP going to fill out and colas be falling all over the place. She stacks nicely, and looks like youβve given her a good home so you should be in great shape. Great pics too, all looking awesome, hope she continues to party for you.
Greazy
@Greazy77, Thankfully i think she finally stopped stretching....i LST'd all the main cola's as well. She really seems to be focusing on flowering now which i'm thankful for! Next time i grow this strain i'll be topping and LST'ing the hell out of her, and most likely she'll be alone in the same tent. Cheers Greazy
@WitheredEye, Thank you sir! Just trying to leave myself some information for the next grow so as to improve upon it! I'm getting really excited about my first harvest!
@Bushbaby808, I'm thinking of planting these suckers as a hedge grove to separate my property line.... she's ridiculous! Maybe make a hedge grove maze out of them! π
Looking awesome man, those PPA grow big. Iβm with ya, for an Indica dom it sure Sativas! Ran out of height in my tent as well. Good luck rest of the way, gonna be tight in there for sure. Keep it realz.
Greazy
Nice nice brother, they've all put on some weight eh?
The Purple Punch is definitely punching man, she's massive with real nice thing bladed leaves!!!
Keep on doing what you're doing my friend ππ
