She's pushing pistils out of the buds finally. Looking forward to see her frosting up, I don't have too much more space, so hoping stretch is done. I'm thinking of defoliating again, you wouldn't believe that I heavily trimmed about a week ago.

I'm wondering when I should defoliate again. There's a ton of different methods out there and I'm kind of lost. I feel like I should cull the fan leaves to let the buds breath and get more light.

Hello.. Hope you are well.. U are right, their is alot of write ups on this subject!.. U are also right to say cull her fan leaves to encourage new growth and help her breathe.. Sum ppl say big NO because fan leaves are her "solar panels" and are essential for photosynthesis.. After 20yrs growing many different strains i follow my own rule.. If she is more sativa then dont defoliate anything of her apart from lower potential popcorn.. If u grow indica strains and ur environment is very healthy temp wise and they under 2ft at harvest, again i dont defoliate.. Their is no rule tbh tho.. I recently did a hulkberry strain from rqs and she needed to b defoliated because she was just to much n to tight at flowering.. Just do wot U think is best for her.. Just never remove too much at one sitting as this can shock her a bit.. Stay safe n gud luck.. 👍🍀
