All is well, Have defoliated all again, this one has been flushed for 9 days and looking Awesome. The Others have been started on Canna boost for the last week and are now bigger than this one so definitely use that sooner...
(lessons learned)
Light distance and lights - Will try the 250 LED for 2 weeks then 250 CFL for 2 weeks then go straight onto 400 watt HPS - schedule will be 4 - 20. (keeping an eye on distance when changing lights.
Feed and nutrients soil/coco - Started with coco blocks - then 10 weeks in topped up with canna pro soil. Ended up with Nats turns out their harmless and were completely eradicated by Cider Vinegar in a tub covered with plastic wrap with holes poked in, also put yellow card in with Vaseline on, then went around the earth of the plants for a few days spooning out any eggs. Have ordered fly traps to hang and coarse grain sand to go on top of soil to completely eliminate but... not even used them and seem to be gone. (would stick to coco blocks for less hassle) but very easily gone with a little effort. Feed I will stick to Canna A+B and Canna boost as they seem to work perfect.
Strain Blue Mammoth - Growing the same again from lessons learnt - Test smoked a small bit earlier with a 3 day flush an 5 day dry. Excellent high would highly recommend this strain. Found myself laughing at my self a lot hahaha. Potent and light not quite perfect yet but still smooth, smell is a pungent Berry, creamy pine and all plants are heavily laden. So Blu Mammoth which is a cross between Low Rider and Blue Berry Skunk, Test smoked 1.5 weeks before harvest just to further Gage where their at and what type of stone I want to create. I am waiting for few more brown Pistol's and Amber Trichome's before Harvest. (Will update when properly finished)
Defoliating Plant's - would have started defoliating earlier and more off, lollipop them, take of any small in growing flowers at the base so the plant can concentrate all energy to the main buds. Training them earlier to allow in more light, all though I did manage with the made up cardboard technique but in order to get it perfect would have started this process earlier. One was topped by mistake as previously mentioned, we will see how that one turns out but still looks super healthy. Finally less is more would only grow 3 in the small space to allow air, heat to circulate more efficiently and to allow more light into the plant's.
Thanks for reading😎
Question - this is my 1st time but researching a lot and trying to find out when to know when they are exactly ready to chop. (I have a gardening background)
Hi my friend :-) . First of all you have beautiful plants there 😍🌱💪🏻😎. To be 100% accurate, you have to look at the trichomes (resin glands) with a microscope. If the heads are all milky, you can flush them, if part of the heads are amber, you can harvest them :-). Carry on so you are doing great 👍 if you have any further questions we are at your disposal :-)
@Doctorgreenfinger, Yeah it is an awesome looking plant. It definitely needs defoliation but waiting until one comes out the main tent then going to... Please look at the next part of the post any advice welcomed as have a question... thanks Dr Green
