Ok so my plants seem to be taking a little bit longer as had them under the LED at first for the first 6 weeks. (24hrs) lighting Then I got a 250 watt CFL and put that in the centre as main and the LED off to the right and rotated the plants (4) so they all had an equal light....(24hrs) This means that my plants are quite big, way to big for all 4 of them so the one that the silencer fell off onto (oops) came out but I seem to have inadvertently topped the plant but ripped the main stalk, not only that when I first put the 400 watt HPS on I didn't move the light up to compensate for the heat so I also burnt her 😶 And dehydrated them because used the same water cycle as before😱 (Learning a lot 😅) This plant had been shocked/nearly dead, so is in perpetual veg atm with just water and under my 250 watt CFL in a very airy large cupboard space.
After the 2 weeks on water under the 250 watt CFL the plant looks very happy indeed now. (This is just an experiment plant now to see if I can save it, to be continued in the flowering diary... Oh I did mist the plants with room temp water during the veg stage and into flower but... took the plants out from the light just in front of the open tent so the plant's didn't burn 😉 Waited around an hr or 2 until the water evaporates then back in they go... (twice a week)
Update* Rescue plant that has been through quite a lot, with the air filter falling and snapping her head and side branches off.... has now been trimmed up, the branches have been spread gently with my cardboard technique and all buds are receiving maximum light, shes very resilient and now looks super healthy. I will start feeding her again 😀

Question - this is my 1st time but researching a lot and trying to find out when to know when they are exactly ready to chop. (I have a gardening background)
Hi my friend :-) . First of all you have beautiful plants there 😍🌱💪🏻😎. To be 100% accurate, you have to look at the trichomes (resin glands) with a microscope. If the heads are all milky, you can flush them, if part of the heads are amber, you can harvest them :-). Carry on so you are doing great 👍 if you have any further questions we are at your disposal :-)
@Doctorgreenfinger, Yeah it is an awesome looking plant. It definitely needs defoliation but waiting until one comes out the main tent then going to... Please look at the next part of the post any advice welcomed as have a question... thanks Dr Green
