*** UPDATE ***
OK, I am a dumb-ass. I took clone and leave them alone for 3-4 days to be just that. Guess which stoner didn’t water them? Two are seemingly fine, two others shocked, but maybe, two, hmmmmm.
I call it a learning curve, and not reading thrice, but you live and you learn Checking tomorrow, after remedial watering, and those not likely are going, then a couple more clones. Less than a week since I flipped them, so should be fine.
Note to self, water the little things daily . . . duh.
** UPDATE **
Alright, no real update, just teasing. Tomorrow is day 4, and I will check on the little girls. Excited 🙃😷
**UPDATE**
Not much to update. Had a look in the side window, the little girls appear fine, nice and humid, nice and warm, so my plan is to do zero, until they are 4-5 days old, then open and check. After 7-10 the extras will find their new home.
Toying with keeping the little ones in slow, low wattage veg, while the current big girls flower, then once we have harvested, probably put 3ft x 3ft tent up, use that to dry in, and move the little ones to their new home, and harden. Then we will go again.
Happy Growing !
** START **
OK, so here we are, a second diary 😇
So, the girls in my first Diary were switched to flowering last night. 12/12 lights and hoping for lots.
This evening, we cloned them. So, we are hoping all goes well and we will have 4 new plants. Wait a minute, you say, there are SIX plants in the picture! We had a few cones while we cloned, and oops, cut an extra Big Bud and extra Bubblegum. So, no issue, clone them, and they are going to a mate who looks after me with weed as I need it 👍. He is my supplier, or one of 😜. So, I am going to give him the two extras, with the proviso, that he throws me some of the results. Share and share alike I say 👌
So, we have 1 x Northern Lights, 1 x Bubblegum and 2 x Big Bud. The extras are as listed, and they will go to their new home in a week.
Procedure used was simply scissors, cleaned. Cut the proposed clones and they were dipped for 10-15 sec in Clonex purple rooting hormone. Then pushed into Jiffy grow pads. The final grow will be in potting mix, and I find Jiffy pads simple and reliable. The Jiffy pads were soaked in regular mix of nutrients. I have seen both sides that say plain water and others say nutrient. I chose nutrients.
The new little girls were then given a generous spray of plain, PH neutral, filtered water (I have a water filter for drinking water 😎). Then a nice clear cover, with vents closed.
Underneath the propagation container, is a 40W heat pad (this does double duty, for when I make BHO). So the girls will be kept nice and snug and warm.
Overhead is a generic 40W LED Grow Light. This is the first LED grow light I bought, specifically for this purpose. It won't provide 1000's of lumens, but the spectrum is right and it won't burn the little ones.
So, watch this new and exciting grow. Keep an eye out to see the results of the mother plants, on my other diary.
Happy Growing!
