Ok so here it is, my first autoflower grow, so here's some info,I planted 3 sour 60(left) and 3 berry Ryder(right) I'm using a 48x48x80 tent, lighting is 1000 watt hps with air cooled hood, using 1/2 fox farm happy frog and 1/2 fox farm ocean Forrest in 3 gal smart pots, I have access to a natural artisan spring so I collect water from there, I have a ppm and pH meter and the water ppm is 14 and I adjust the ph from 5.5 to 6.2 before I water, running 500 cfm inlet fan and a 500 cfm exhaust fan and I'm also running a carbon filter, I'm gonna be doing some light stress training (lst) through out the whole grow. I saturated the soil 2 days before I planted the germinated seeds, I will just keep the top of the soil moist for the first week or so and after that I will start actually watering them, I don't have a set amount I water I just go by weight, I pick up the pot and can tell by how heavy or light it is if it needs water, I won't start nutes until I my plants show sex and i remove the males
Some leaves have turned a lil yellow and a dark green color, after asking around I think that the cause is the fox farm happy frog/ocean Forrest soil being s lil to hot for the seedlings, I'm hoping it will correct itself as the plants grow
Males decided to show themselves, had 3 males out of 6 plants, after pulling the males I ended up with 2 sour 60 females and 1 berry Ryder female, Starting nutes next watering and continuing the lst
Well I'm down to just my females now, I gave them their first nite feeding, I gave the 1/2 dose for big bloom and 1/2 dose of tiger bloom because they are starting to show pistols, also been keeping up LST, I use pipe cleaners to tie them down, they do a good job and don't damage the plant, I'm splitting a gallon of water between the 3 right now I will up it as they need it
Well they in flower now for sure, they starting to have a nice smell also, my temps dropped a few nights ago and they got real droopy but they Perkin back up, I've been watering about every 3 or 4 days and giving the nutes every other watering, I will up the nutes if they don't show any signs of it burning them
Well it's week 6, I haven't done much different just been watering about every 2-3 days and giving nutes every other watering, the buds are coming along nicely I notice growth everyday, I've stopped and removed the lst because it was starting to stress the plants a lil but I'm satisfied at what the lst has done for me and will do it for vegetation only on my next grow, I also trimmed off some yellow leaves that I'm pretty sure was from light burn so I've also moved my lights up about 8 inches more, at this point I'm expecting to go past 60 days but this is my first auto grow so these next 2 weeks they could explode with growth but as of now I'm thinking more like 70-75 maybe but I could be wrong(I hope I am) but we will see
So it's week 7, still haven't done anything much different, I'm having yellowing issues on one of the sour 60 girls and I just can't figure it out at this point, despite the yellowing she is growing and producing buds nicely so I'm just gonna let her go and see what happens. Splitting a gallon of water between the 3 every 2-3 days and using half strength nutes every other watering. They getting a nice dank sweet smell and i have to say I'm surprised at how much fruitier the sour 60 smells than the Betty ryder, I was expecting the berry Ryder to be the stanky one but it still has a nice smell too.
Well week 8 is here, this will be my last nute feeding and then I'm starting my flush, I dealt with serious temp/humidity issues during veg/preflower, they are smaller than expected but that's probably why, we had record breaking weather this year and it's hard to maintain a temp in a exterior building with weather like that but all and all I'm satisfied with this as my first run and I'm hoping they with grow more in the next 2 weeks during my flush
It's week 10 and I'm still flushing, I've been really pouring the water to them and they been sucking it up, my loupe finally came in and I checked the tricombs, the berry Ryder is about 50/50 amber/cloudy so I chopped her, got her hanging and after 7-10 days when the stem snaps and not bends I will trim her and put her in Mason jars, the 2 sour 60s still have a lil to go until they are ready. The berry Ryder is the only one I didn't do LST on and it really shows, she is tiny compared to the 2 sour 60s
It's week 11 and the sour 60s finally seem to be ready, chopped them down and got them drying, they look to have alot more weight than the berry Ryder, also an update on the berry Ryder, I dried and trimmed it and ended up with just under a ounce dry weight, I battled temp and humidity this entire grow, it's now summer here and I have a cob led light on the way so hopefully my summer grow will produce bigger yield, overall I'm satisfied with this first grow and will be running autos again, I will do a update on the final weights of the sour 60 girls, also will do a smoke report on all the strains
