Not a great start due to low RH but it is coming back 😄
Will be moved in a better growing environment next week
It's final destination will be a 16 or 20 L pot
pot 300 ml
soil biobizz light mix
This week was moved to a better environment and it is now growing under a 135W led and high humidity 65-75%.
Also another one was germinated this week and they will probably compete with each other to which one gets the bigger pot 😆
1 ml of root stimulator was added to the feed for RD#1 this week.
Foliar with 1ml of active Vera and fishmix was applied for RD#1 as well.
Once the tent that is planned to host them is free they will move in there and get transplanted to bigger pots.
Things this week gone bad. Rd#2 started to yellowing and few days later it didn't recover and it is almost dead at the moment 🙁
I don't know what but I must have done something wrong. I took care of properly watering, not too much not to little and I only used root stim with first app 6-7 after the first leaves appeared.
Also I got these seeds from a friend that had them for some years...
Can't blame anyone really. Just didn't manage to find what went wrong.
Rd#1 in the other hand which was the one with issues was transplanted into a 600ml and since then it has not shown any new issues with the new leaves starting to grow. It will be transplanted into a new pot again in the end of the next week. 2-5L depending on how it will do.
Fingers crossed with this one 🙏
Not so much of improvement. Still in critical condition. Hopefully will do well the next days so it can be transplanted into a bigger pot before switching to 12/12.
Was away this week so there is no many pics for this week 😢but it has bounced back and is now ready to get transplanted and switch to flowering.
Day 34 was transplanted into 4L plastic pot and from tomorrow lights will be switched to 12/12.
It has been 5-6 days since lights were switched to 12/12 and there was a huge stretch. It did stretch like 50% of its previous height only in these last few days. I guess the light intensity plays a role in that too as it is not placed in the most privileged spot of the tent.
Maybe there was a bit of stretch more this week but not noticeable when looking at it everyday. Temp has been high all day long from 23(lights off) to 30-31.
Temp has been high this week even higher than previous week reaching 32 at peak. We are in the middle of the summer so it is expected to be like this till harvest. Buds are getting bigger and am pretty sure will have to act soon supporting the branches.
Temp still high this week but no signs of stress. This plant was under stress in her early weeks and it is placed on the side of the tent which light intensity is not optimal so it did stretch a lot as it can be seen. Even though the flower development is insane considering how tiny are the branches.
Had to tie the main stem to the pot as it was bending to the ground when I moved to water it. Going to place a cane next to the main stem and tie it there.
No changes this week. Temp was the same and it seem that adapted well to nutrients increase. Looking at it makes me wondering how the hell this tiny stems can hold such fat buds without breaking.
Not much to report this week. Buds keep getting fatter and still producing new white pistills. Going to tie the side branches as well as they almost bent to the ground.
Not much for this week. Lower side branches are weak with fat buds on them and they are troubled even tho they are tied. Hopefully wont have to wait much more before harvest. Thinking to cut the nutrients in the next week.
On day 86 was watered with nutrients but it is possible within this week to switch to just plain water.
Side branches look mature enough with 70-80% orange pistils and started to turn inside but the main bud is like 50-50 white-orange and more of them pointing out. I think is due to heat stress as the main bud is closer to the light so the distance was increased around 15cm.
End of the week all side branches are now supported.
Day 92 been watered with plain water 6.5 ph.
Trichomes are still in 50-50 clear-cloudy stage.
On day 97 had to completely defol cause in the plant next to it in the tent were some spiders(not spidermites) spotted laying eggs and making their home 😆
Pot is dry and trichomes are cloudy by now but no amber yet. The plan was to water once more and give it abit more time but these recent events changed the game.
I have to say this one I completely failed to provide what it needed. Started with one plant that didnt go well in the first week due to watering issues and low RH and germinated another one. First week of the second plant looked like it was going better but I ended up losing it and having only the first one recovering. Temp during flowering was really high as well so in general the conditions provided for a moderate strain like this wasnt enough. Seeds were also years old. It was later transplanted in a 4L pot and placed in the corner of the tent where light intensity is not ideal. None can take the blame apart of my self and my luck of care.
Veg
As mentioned above first 4 weeks of veg was a disaster. Didnt manage to create the ideal conditions for it and it was a long stressful period for this plant.
On week 5 it bounced back and started growing normal but the next week lights were switched to 12/12 in the tent so it didnt take advantage of it.
Flowering
First weeks of flowering temp was alright reaching at peak 30-31 and the pot was placed in a corner of the tent with not ideal light intensity which led to a big stretch. Stems doubled up in height but remained thin. Bud formation was quick and it was obvious from the beginning that all stems will need support. Mid to late flowering temp got really high as it was the middle of the summer with peaks reaching 32-33 and there wasnt any easy solution to fix it. Leaf to flower ratio was great and these tiny stems got bigger buds than what I could wish for.
Smell is also really nice with intense citrus/orange to be the most dominant. The plant was to stay one more week in the tent as the trichomes are still cloudy with no ambers detected but due to some spiders spotted on the plant next to it and the fact that will be traveling the next week it was decided to get harvested a bit early.
Considering the conditions of this grow cycle , very happy for the result.
Harvest
Chopped about a week early as mentioned above and provided 85g of intense orange smelling buds(wet).
More details will be updated once dried.
Total dry weight 23g (6g pop corn)
