And we're back for the second round of Royal Queen Seeds' Lemon Shining Silver Haze. Many mistakes were made last year so many things can go better too now😁 Once again outdoor and one major change is that I'm starting earlier. Last year it was June, now 4 weeks sooner. Plant didn't grew as tall as I expected too so a couple of weeks extra vegative growth for this round. Seed is germinating right now in a glass of water. I ordered some bacteria, grow and bloom boosters from RQS and accompanying plants. If u read my previous journal u can tell by week 11 (3rd week of bloom) that things went a bit wrong with quick fan leaves falling off and changing of colors in general. I personally think that was also a problem caused by bugs. Caterpillars were a problem from that point. And lots of bad weather gave me budrot and mould too. But that was last year. All focus on now. Because of the Corona crisis I'm not able at this moment too buy nutrients and pre-made soil in the shop so maybe I will make my own soil. I can tell u guys that in 2 weeks😁 Update : Seed germinated and been put in starting soil. This was my first mistake from previous grow. I used too strong soil to start. Seedlings and Young plants don't handle that well. And after 5 days she put her head out. Going to do such more in vegative stage to make her happy 😁😋 Happy growing friends👍

Welcome to week 2. Actually it's week 1 since the previous week was the germination week. This is only day 4 since she put out her first leaves. I used normal sowing earth for seedlings and young plants from the regular gardenshop and today I added 1 gram of Mychorriza and Boost nutrients from RQS. Not too much to start. Just giving the roots some extra power. I moisted the soil with a sprayer instead of giving water. No chance on overwatering wich was also a mistake from the previous grow. I will upload some more pictures this week to show how she reacts on the new nutrients. Happy growing friends😉

A slow week. Defenitly some grow but overall slow progress. The Roots are settling in so the upcoming days and weeks I expect more evolution. The burn on the litlle leaf Is caused by too hot temperatures behind the window I think. That leaf is going to get cut anyway so no big deal. It doesn't look beautifull now haha. Update : put her in a new home outside, a grow box togheter with the other plants. Also cut away the under leaves since they used the energy to recover a dead leaf. No need for that. All focus on the good leaves and root structure. Happy growing friends😉

Still healthy, growing slow but going well. It's regular earth, we are still not allowed here to go to shops. By the end of this week I will maybe transplant her to a bigger pot and add new mychorriza and fungus. It's something. She will not die but for the moment the plant is not getting al the right nutes she needs. Still trying to make the best of it. It's good weather here so that's something 😋 Happy growing friends. Update : Shops are open so this week I will buy my soil and the nutrients. Just in time. I dried her out a bit so I could check the roots and they reached the bottom of the pot. I believe in only one transplant to cause the least stress to the plant so she will be placed in her final home immediately. Update : she's been put in a new home. Added some extra Mychorriza, Organic Boost Nutrients, rhizotonic and sprayed with Vita Race.

Hello friends. Slow week again but good news. Shops are Open so I was able to buy everything she needed. Good soil, nutrients, extra perlite. I transplanted her to the final home. Put in extra fungi Mychorriza and RQS Boost pellets. Also hydro pellets on top and bottom of pot for extra drainage. The soil is mixed with extra perlite to give the roots space and air. I sprayed with Vita Race for the much needed iron in this stage. First time I'm spraying a plant with more than water so curious about this. And finally after the transplant she got her first roots stimulator. I picked out Rhizotonic from canna. Last year Power Roots from plagron did great but I wanted to try this one out. My previous grow was bigger than this one by week 4 but it had defencies that started in week 3 so I prefer this little but more healthy grow 😁 It looks a bit ridiculous now, such a small plant in a big container but in a few days she will build up that roots and start to grow big. After transplant last year Lemon Haze grew very quick so I have faith in her genetics. Extra vegative weeks are given this year so I'm expecting something good from this lady. She did well last year and I'm giving extra attention and care this season so it would be a bummer too fail. Happy growing everybody 😉

Hello again. Good week. The roots developed really wel as I can see by the notable signs. Quick grow, healthy green leaves and a little smell as I come close. Good to see this progress. I have at least 8 more vegative weeks to go so the growing period can be really entertaining this year😁 This week I gave 1L of water with the grow booster from RQS. I read that u should water slow so I divided it in a first watering and a second watering 30min later. I used small bottles to calculate this. No more water for 4 days now. U encourage the roots that way to search for the moist and nutrients wich makes them stronger. No rhizotonic this week. The RQS grow feeding has root stimulator in it too so no overfeeding. Also one spray with Vita Race. The other nights I sprayed with plain water to ensure the humidity. I need to find a schedule so I can spray with neem oil too. 1 week vita, one week neem oil, and the other days/nights pure water spray looks fine to me. The feeding numbers so far. 2x Vita race spray : 1ml on 1L of water 1x Rhizotonic : 4ml on 1L of water 1x RQS grow boost : half a tablet on 2L of water 50 grams RQS organic nutrition and 15 grams Mychorriza Fungi mixed trough 40L of soil. I'm going to post more pictures the next days to show how she evolves. Happy growing friends 😉💪

Hello again Good week, she grew at least 10 cm. Healthy green leaves. One watering with nutrients. Every 5 days vita race spray, other days pure water. Gonna give rhizotonic next watering. Also did a slight defolation. Removed the 2 lowest fanleaves. No need to put energy in those future popcornbuds. She spend most of the week inside behind the warm window sun with a little breeze from a ventilator Next week it will be very warm here. I think I will leave her outside. She's strong enough by now. Upcoming week I will also start the Neem Oil treatment. Purely preventive but outside there is more chance on bad bugs so I wanna be ahead of problems instead of waiting for the first signs😁 keep an eye out cause I will post more pictures this week to show how she develops. Keep growing strong friends.

Hello and welcome to week 7/8. First heatwave of the year so I let her enjoy the outside weather. Around 30° Celsius during day and nights are 15° to 20°. She grew almost 10cm in a week. I'm happy with the soil and roots condition. She handles the nutrients very wel. No signs of burn in any way. I dont check the PH. I don't overwater and always give one liter every 4 to 5 days.. However, I do start to see some minor bug trails I think. Check photo's for some details but this is the same thing I had last year. Pretty sure it's gonna be caterpillars. Neem oil is definitely on the list for this year. I'm also searching for ladybugs in my yard and place them on the plant😁 No other news. She's smaller then last year by now but looks more vigorous and healthy. I'm not gonna let her grow too big. More focus on defoliation, good airflow and anti bugs stuff. Happy growing friends.

Hello again Quick grow, 13 cm in a week. Some minor trails and spots on the plant. No droopy leaves or over/underwatering so I'm thinking of bugs but I don't see any. Little black spots on the outside of the leaves. And also some rusty looking spots on other leaves. Still growing strong and lots of evolution but I'm concerned she will suffer in the flowering period because of this problem.... Still a lot to learn about recognizing leaf problems. What do you guys think? I'm not gonna wait that much longer and going to start the forced flowering pretty soon. I wanna harvest in middle to end September and I don't want the plant to get too ill so she doesn't deliver good buds.

Hello again friends. Good week. Good growth. I added a bamboo stick for some support. The weather is nice but windy. I also kept her inside some days for a good temperature. Lots of fresh air since she stands at an open door. The leaf problems didn't became worse but I decided anyway to not give any nutrients this week. The plant looks healthy overall and not droopy or over/underwatering. Let her dry out for some days so she could use nutrients from the soil. Today I will flush her with 2 L of pure water. Going to be a good refreshing for the soil. No other big problems. This is a nice and a bit of a challenging grow. Once again one to learn from haha. Gonna post some more pictures this week. Happy growing friends. 😉

Crispy brown tips, dry leafs. What's going on here? It would be weird to see this as nutrientburn cause I don't give that much. It's coming from down and moving slowly to the top. Can I still solve this?

That is a potassium deficiency however there's almost never a soil with a potassium deficiency problem and pH is almost always the issue your having some lock out correct your ph or add some good worm castings and water in with ph'd water to start correcting ot

Hello friends. Good week (and a few days extra, late update haha) So this week I decided to not give any nutrients. A flush with pure water and then some dry days. Plant reacted well so I'm gonna do this again untill I'm sure that the PH level is not too high or low anymore. The leaf problems didn't became worse so a nutrients stop and flush was the right thing to do. We are in week 11 now, 3 weeks extra vegative growth, 62 cm high so she will be bigger than last year in flowering. Tonight, after a good inspection for bugs and some big defoliation she will be in the dark for 36 hours. I hope the transfer to flowering goes smooth. I'm curious how she will react? Last year she had different problems, this year a new problem to learn from haha Happy growing friends.

Hello again 🙂 Week 11 to 12 aka first forced flowering week. Been moving the plant in and outside to trick nature. 36 hours of darkness and now 12/12 shedule for 4 days so far. Slight difference in colors on the new shoots. Previous grow switched to bloom really good so I hope the same for this year. No nutrients has been given this week and the previous week. I will wait untill clear signs of flowering and flush the soil in the meantime. I'm thinking about giving less nutrients anyway. There is more than enough in the soil so just a bit of supporting nutrients every 2 weeks is good. No other big news. She reacted well on the big defoliation and I truly hope this will be a help in the battle against budrot. One year whitout crop loss would be the highlight of 2020 so far haha. That's all for now Happy growing friends😉

Welcome to week 13🙂 Last week I started the forced flowering process and after 9 days we're already there. Good to see it worked because I have to keep it all in mind with the changes in lighthours and in combination with my working hours😂 I'm also happy since I wanted some extra vegative weeks (4 more this year) and the plant starts flowering a month sooner then last year. Hope this all helps to prevent the cold and wet weather conditions in early October. I'm aiming for end of September for harvest. This week she will go in the dark room at 9 o'clock in the evening and I take her out after 12 or 13 hours. With an open window for fresh air (I do close it at 6 o'clock in the morning to keep light out) No feeding yet (for 2 weeks now) but I think I will flush one last time with ph water and by the end of the week I will give the first flowering nutrients. Then I will do one week pure water and one week nutrients. Last year I maybe gave a little bit too much but I didn't have any signs of burn so I didn't notice that. Maybe I had lockout issues, still learning about that topic. Also gonna wait some longer to water untill the soil is more dry. Should I defoliate some more? I took away a lot of fan leaves but it still feels pretty bushy in some under areas. Let me know what u think😉 That also counts for my last grow question, let me know what u guys and girls think is a safe date for leaving her outside without the risk of becoming a hermie or re-vegging. At this moment I have 15hours and 19 minutes of daylight. In September it becomes 12/12. Would it be safe to place her outside with 13/11 or 14/10? Norther European light schedule here. 😉 No other problems or news. We expect a big heatwave here in 2 days (35° Celsius) so maybe I will keep her inside with a ventilator on. Happy growing and keep safe everybody 🙏

Hello friends Not a very good week here. She's suffering a lot from the heat (38° Celsius for 9 straight days ) and the Pottasium defencies 😢 Lost many leaves this week and It's 2 more days untill I can go to shop for worm castings and ph up and down. Gonna try to save her but I have a bad feeling about this. In one week she changed a lot in the negative way. Would be my first plant that doesn't make it till harvest. Update : corrected the PH and ordered some worm casting. Flushed her with 5 liter of water in total while adjusting the PH. First time doing this. I hope I did correct. After 2 flushes the PH went from 7,5 to 6,4. Gonna let her dry out now for 4 days and the next watering will be with RQS bloom nutrients. Who knows I might be able to save her 😁 Fingers crossed for this challenging grow. Going to post more pictures soon Happy growing friends.

Hello friends and welcome to week 15 🙂 Still alive despite the previous week wich was extremely hot. I discovered that the PH was absolutely not in the right range. 7.5 so I lowered it to 6.4. I hope this solves the yellowing and crispy leaves wich is a Pottasium lock out caused by the bad PH values Also added a new top layer. A mix of the batmix soil and worm castings. Watering will be with the RQS organic bloom nutrients from now on. I also have some Alga Bloom left from the previous grow. I can still choose. And last but defenitly not least I hope she doesn't bounce back to vegetative stage or becomes a hermie cause I left her outside with 14,5 hours of daylight. I was tired of moving the plant in and outside after the 2 weeks of forced flowering and after reading some articles about this topic I decided to take the risk. Plants go to flowering during middle to late August so I hope it was not stupid to leave her to Mother Nature now😁 Thanks for the good advice from all the growers here. I'm learning a lot of new things during this challenging grow😁😂 hope I can give good news next week. Happy growing everybody 💪

Hello friends. A good week here, nice evolution on the buds and from my point of view the few bad leaves didn't became more crispy or dead. I hope I stopped it with the PH correction and the worm casting. She stood outside in the rain for some days but from now on I will not allow that anymore 😋 One year without Budrot and crop loss is really what I want to accomplish this year. Previous grow had it in the last 2 weeks and it's such a bummer and disappointment. September nights are pretty cold and chilly here but tommorow my new wooden garden house wil be built so I can keep her in there. Just in time. Hope everyone is still safe and healthy. See u next week guys and girls. Happy growing 😉

Hello everyone, what's up? 🙂 Week 17 and that's cool because last year my plant was finished by this age (harvested middle of October) and had to deal with cold environment, bugs and budrot. This year I'm sooner for flowering, had a longer vegative stage wich means more growth and bigger buds and I can/will (hopefully) harvest during first week of October. I'm aiming for 10 weeks of flowering. A good week, nice development on the buds, a stronger smell and I think I see some cola's already fattening up. This is the same I saw last year around week 5 to 6 of flowering. I think I'm halfway through the process by now. I'm still doubting to give some green sensation. Not so organic anymore then haha. I will give water in 2 days, the pot still doesn't feel very light so she can go on for some time with the moist in the soil. Then I will check PH values and give very light feeding. I'm not going to give more then 2ml alga bloom on 1 liter of water. More supporting nutrients then overfeeding 🙂 The weather is giving me a hard time here again. Some good days, some rainy days and at night always temperatures between 10°-15° Celsius. I put her inside in the garden house or inside in the backroom for the dark hours or when the 3 weather apps I have installed tell me there is rain coming up😅 This is not always easy to accomplish with my working hours (early, late and night shifts shedule) I like to have some sleep too 😁 All good so far. Fingers crossed with at least 5 more weeks to go 🤞 I will post some more pictures the upcoming days. Busy time here haha. Happy growing friends, see u next week 🙏

I would get rid of the pop corn buds. Not so much as full lollipop. More like trimming off small branches. I hate trimming. I have more buds than I need. I rather have nicer buds than more small buds. On the other hand, haze are fluffy and not that big. For me, yes, get rid of the larf. No big difference. It’s up to what you prefer.

Hello everyone. Welcome to week 18 A very good week. Nice weather and good evolution on the buds. Getting frostier and producing a strong smell. I gave 2Liter of water spread over 2 days with 2ml alga bloom. Watered in with 6.5ph. Everything looks good. No more bad or dying leaves😊 I wanna flush sooner too so this week and next week will be the last watering with nutrients. I'm going to try to get some close up pictures this week. I'm at home since I fractured my elbow this weekend haha. Shit happens. Update : I'm thinking the plant has entered the final 2 or 3 weeks. Some yellowing fan leaves and lots of brown pistils. Maybe one more watering with alga bloom for the final push but that will be it. I think I will skip the green sensation this year. Going to buy a microscope to check out the trichomes. We're in the last phase of flowering. Watered in with 6.0Ph and the drainage water was 6.1ph😊 that's pretty much perfect in my opinion haha. What do u guys think? Keep safe everybody and happy growing 🙏

Welcome to Week 19 AKA 8th week of flowering and flushing week 1. More pictures will be added tommorow. Sun just went down while doing this update😉 A very very good week. Lovely weather and good nights with low humidity. This week will be colder with night temperatures under 10° Celsius. Also some rain so She will be placed inside starting tommorow night. The buds are fattening and are pretty hard. Last year it was a bit more fluffy but I'm pretty sure that this grow will produce more dense buds. When I step into my garden I already smell her 😂 pretty crazy for a not so very big plant. I can only imagine how hard she would smell/stink when grown in full ground or indoors. The only minor thing is that I didn't use green sensation. It could be a final push to topbuds but it was already too late in this grow to start adding it. Clean buds for sure. Next grow I will use it again. Another thing is my soil stays pretty dry. I water in with 1or 2 liter every 4 to 6 days but the hygrometer stays on the dry side even when the water comes out of the bottom. Not going to give more since she doesn't give signs of underwatering. Stick to schedule. I also read that if u add mychorriza fungus to the soil it can hold more water and release it when it's necessary. Ph was a bit higher too with 6.8 so next watering will be with 6.0 to lower it I'm counting down to harvest now. RQS says she has a flowering time of 8-9 weeks. Pretty spot on so far but I think I will clock down on 9,5 to 10. I also ordered some boveda humidity packs and Cannaflush. When the weather changes to extreme wet and cold conditions in the next 14 days I will chop her sooner. No risks this year. Budrot is the enemy. I wanna smoke my main cola this Christmas and on New Years evening 😂 Happy growing friends, see u next week

Hey everyone Week 20 Aka flushing week 2 Horrible weather here. Shitloads of rain and a big storm on Friday and Saturday. Lucky I placed the plant inside but that also means she didn't get a lot of sunlight. I opened the window for fresh air but this not the perfect environment for her final 2 weeks. On the other hand she is still a beautiful healthy plant that produces a big smell 😂 She also drinks a lot. This kinda suprises me cause I always tought that in the final weeks a plant needs less water. I read it with a hygrometer because I really don't want to overwater her. PH is 6.4 now. Last week it was a bit higher with 6.8 so I watered in with 5.9ph now. This is really the most important thing I have learned to do so far. I feel so stupid now with my previous grows that I didn't check it well. I always started low on nutrients dosage and I gave plain water every now and then so I thought it would be allright but this is really a big eye opener. I'm waiting for my cannaflush package to arrive. I'm going to keep her alive for 10 more days but that will be it. I can't keep her warm anymore, just a constant temperature of around 20° Celsius at max. No risks this year. Happy growing friends, untill next week😉

Hello everyone 🙂 Week 21 AKA 3rd week of flushing First the bad news : my cannaflush package still hasn't arrived so it was pure ph water flushing for the last 3 weeks. Second bad news : another week with bad weather and barely any sunlight. While I'm typing this there is a new shit load of rain coming trough haha. I'm sure that next year I will start 2 weeks sooner with forced flowering. End of June she should already be 2nd week of flowering to avoid the situation I'm dealing with now. Late September/early October is really a hard time to keep a cannabis plant here 😅 Good news now : she still looks and smells healthy and I I'm very confident about not having mold this year. I made sure that in the backroom (where she spends most of the time now) there is enough airflow. It's the only thing left that I have under control. All pistils have turned brown and even tough I'm not gonna check the trichomes she is pretty much done by now in my opinion. These are the final days/week and I think that during this week she will be chopped. Still doubting about splitting the stem for the last days. I think I will do it 🙂 I'm gonna try a new technique for drying. Not every branch separately but the whole plant including most of the still healthy leaves will be hung up for 2 weeks. The dying/yellowing leaves I will remove to make sure that there is no chance on bad fungus/mold. Any thoughts or recommendations : let me know Happy growing friends 😉

Hello everyone 😊 Week 22 = harvest week. Just cut the plant and she's hung up to dry. The plan was to keep the plant whole but I decided, due to my injured elbow, it would be smarter to just use separate branches. More lightweight buds to move around haha. I also splitted the stem in the final 5 days. Don't know if it will have some effect. I didn't wanted to take the risk for longer since I don't have a microscope. She flowered for 10,5 weeks so I guess she was done. I cut away al the leaves that had brown or crispy leaves/tips. The other ones I left. Also maximum branch lengths to slow down the drying process. Last year the buds were dry too quick. I hope to leave them hanging for 10 to 14 days now with a more controlled process . It's the first time im trying this technique. I will keep the airflow on point to avoid bad conditions. The room temperature is around 18° Celsius I guess. Average room humidity. I inspected the buds well and I think this is a good year 😊 no mold, lots of brown pistils and pretty compact. I flushed for 3 weeks so no chance on bad taste I guess. One minor thing : still some popcornbuds. Discovered them a bit too late after I already removed some others a few weeks prior. Minor mistake. The Harvest report will follow during November. Gonna let them dry well before testing. Thx to everyone who followed along with this round. I had some good advice and I learned a lot of good stuff. See u in 4 weeks for smoke report. Adios😉

Hello for the last time on this fun and challenging grow 🙂 I had a good but slow start. Where other users have amazing roots development in the first weeks I always manage to have not as much roots. No defencies or problems but just slow progress. After transplant to the final pot she always catches up but I feel like I miss an important stage/process in the first 5 weeks. Once transferred she has an explosive growth with little problems caused by me this year. In week 8 to 13 I had PH problems wich caused lockouts that affected the Pottasium uptake. PH is the most important thing that I learned this grow. Don't believe post or advertising that says u don't need to control it or organic products that promise to adjust the soil themselves. CHECK PH!! After that adjustment (also some worm castings were added) she grew well and developed nice. A very nice but bushy plant. Needs heavy defolation for a good airflow and big inspection on the small popcornbuds. Very forgiving for mistakes. The big smell starts around 2nd week of flowering. I never have a big stretch and this is the reason : I stress her out too much with moving her every night for the forced flowering. 62cm in vegative and 74cm by end of flowering is not a big stretch. Especially for an outside grow. I used less nutrients. More supportive this year then boosting the hell out of her and trying the maximum doses. With the plagron soil and the RQS organic nutrients already in I had a good base so I didn't want to overdo it. I also flushed for 3 weeks instead of the recommended 2. No bugs or Budrot this year. I salute myself for that because I did extra things to prevent them. Sticky traps, ladybugs and daily inspections for the bugs and no raindays were allowed once the 3rd week of flowering kicked in. I always moved her inside when rain came up and put on a ventilator to adjust humidity inside too. She always was placed inside at an open door when it was bad weather. Lots of moving around but it payed off 😋 Final week I splitted the stem. I left it that way for 5 days but wouldn't risk more. No microscope so I couldn't check the trichomes. She flowered for 10,5 weeks. One week extra than the breeders at RQS say and 90% brown pistils so it was harvest window for sure. Once again a cool project where I learned a lot of things. Favorite hobby for sure haha. Thx a lot @JinksyGrows, @northernMike, @kingmcdaid, @Weedovaurus and @Med_in_Tropic for all advice and comments. I know a lot about the basics but for smarter details and experience we can all learn a lot here. I will read in on roots, more ph details and maybe an other way to do forced flowering for my next grow. I can already tell that will be the RQS Royal Jack Automatic since I got 2 seeds for free this year. Hope everyone is still safe and healthy. I wish you all a good Christmas and a happy new year of this fucked up 2020. Adios friends
